not sure if there is already a thread like this but here goes anyway.

recently i have created two of my own strains, i bred them for outdoor grows in the uk and they do the job nicely. i took a kc39 male and i crossed it with a frisian duck, i call this howard the duck, and also an unknown cutting that i got from a friend, i call this star69. i only have regular seeds at the moment but next year i will work on feminized seeds.

so i figure anyway that i am not alone in creating my own genetics and a bunch of you have probably done the same and if you are like me you probably want to share your creation with other people so maybe we can help each other out by sharing our genetics with each other.

	sharing is caring

Hey,

I know I am new here, but I have been searching for information on this strain for a while.. seeing how Strainhunters has been to India, I figured there may be some insight.

Here is the information I have:

Name: Shilavati
Genetics: Indica (South Indian)
Origin: Near Hyderabad - Eastern Himalayan Region
Height: Up to 1.8 Meters

Other than that, very little information actually exists. Shilavati is known as "The most potent naturally occuring cannabis strain". The buds are extremely dense and seem to be larger than strains such as Big Bud. From what the grower has told me, the buds on this plant can grow to sizes larger than your palm.

I am looking for any information other than what I have!

Sincerely,

Shepj

Hi people... I am hoping someone can answer my question. I was going to buy some himalaya gold seeds because it says they finish end of September, but after watching a couple of Arjans videos, they say something like 8-10 weeks flower time. My question is will this be ready end of September, because with my growing situations I can't wait till mid October when all the hunters show up. Lol. Thanks. I am in northern hemisphere btw.

	Hello guys,

I know that there are many posts on this topic all around the web, but this might be a problem. There is simply too much information about it.

I want to prepare myself for outdoor grow 2017. I am looking for your help with strain selection, because the ones I selected this year were diasaster.

Here are some details about what I want from strain and some other information:

	- Effects from smoking should be more on Sativa side

	- Good weed to smoke when with friends... so for laughing, talking, socializing, maybe some creativity, uplifting... No couch lock effect.

	- Size of the plant does not matter. It can be really high... So i prefer also high yield from the plant, high in THC.

	- Information about growing place: Latitude: 46,5 North; Longtitude: 13.7 East. Altitude: 850m; Temperatures are like this. June, July and August are hot. Lets say around average of 30 degrees during the day when there is sunny, but it can also drop to around 20 degrees if there is rain. May and September are a little fresh during nights, during the day it is probably around 20-25 degrees. Flowers will be grown in North-West part of Slovenia. Weather can probably be compared with weather in Austrian Alps on this altitude.

If you need more information about something, just ask me and I will provide answers.

Thank you for all your answers already in advance. I will be happy with every answer you give me ;O

	Enjoy!

Hi. I was trying to found at green house seed strain that has high level of thcv since that cannabinoid is very important when you are making tincture for diabetes but haven't found it. Can anyone help me with this? I know that mostly sativa dominant strains have high percentage of thcv but it would be perfect if any hybrid is recommended since I'm planning to grow it in the box. Thx.

I purchased 20 pk, germination was great 100%. Right off the start 2 of 20 plants were mutant dwarfs, no growth whatsoever, stayed 6 inches tall, destroyed the dwarfs after 3 months veg, still no grow 6 inches tall. Alot of different phenoes in the 18 left. Iam seeing a really short dwarf looking slow growing pheno, and a very fast growing sativa looking branchy plant. Budded out the 18 under 4000 watts hps, using co2, advanced nutrients, all top notch gear, budded for 63 days full 9 weeks. This strain is CRAP!!!!! Iam soooo disapointed in the Pure Kush. 9 weeks will not finish this strain, more like 11 or 12, the buds have very little resin, the yeild and size of buds is o.k, but nothing spectacular. I cant see why all the hype over og kush/pure kush. Has anyone else had issues with pk? My White Rhino absolutely blows the pure kush out of the water. Arjan and Franco whats up with the Pure Kush?

I am an outdoor grower located at 42* latitude north which is at the same latitude as northern Spain, the northern California/Oregon border and about 5* north of the Hindu Kush region.

On the Greenhouse website, they have a chart with all of their strains that gives an estimate of harvest time outdoors that can be seen on the Greenhouse website, under the research and development icon under GreenHouse strains statistics.

I am looking to get an opinion of the accuracy of these estimates and at what exact latitude they are for. I know it says for the northern hemisphere but harvest times can be drastically different from 25*N to 45*N since the longest days are longer the further north you go and the date at which a plant will begin to flower is later, because the daylight hours don't get short enough until later in the year. I will give an example of three different latitudes north, the length of the longest day on June 21st and the date daylight is 14 hours or less, which I have found almost all strains will start to flower at when grown indoors.

28* latitude N - longest day 13.58 hours - always below 14 hours

35* latitude N - longest day 14.31 hours - date daylight is 14 hours long July 27

42* latitude N - longest day 15.18 hours - date daylight is 14 hours long August 12

61* latitude N the Matanuska Valley in Alaska - longest day 19.22 hours - date daylight is 14 hrs. Sept. 3

Now I know that every strain will adapt to the natural light cycles at the latitude it is grown in and the amount of light on the date it will start to flower will be different but only, in my own personal experience, if the daylight is 14.5 hours or less.

I'm looking for strains that will finish preferably no later than Sept. 20th at 42*N and definitely no later than October 10th because the weather conditions here are both moist and cold but as long as you harvest before Sept. 20th you won't have any problems with mold or frost/freezes because it is still very warm here, even though 3 weeks later there could be snow on the ground.

In my experience at 42*N most hybrid strains will start to flower by August 1st which has 14.26 hours of daylight but then like most strains they take 8-10 weeks to finish, which puts them somewhere between October 1 and 14th. I have grown a few strains that actually started flowering in the last weeks of July with 14.5 hours of daylight and when they did, they were finished on September 20th. So if this helps anyone that has grown one of these strains indoors and you know it will flower with 14.5 hours of light, than please let me know.

So what I am looking for is exactly what latitude the estimates in that chart was estimated for, if someone can answer that. If you have grown a strain on the list outdoors and your harvest time was different than it states, can you please tell me the strain name, degree latitude north it was grown at and when you planted and harvested.

I am also interested in any strain recommendations, from either Greenhouse Seeds or here from Strainhunters that may fit what I am looking for, if in your experience, you grew it outdoors and it finished before the estimate on the chart. If you have, please include the strain, latitude grown at and date planted and harvested.

Thanks for reading this long post and I hope it will help many others. I hope to return the favor by hopefully answering some questions using my own knowledge.

Good evening,

I would be very grateful if someone could help me with the following as I am really interested in this strain.

What would be the best way to grow Super Critical in 120x120x200 grow tent. Im not sure if I have to use some special method/training and how many plants should I plan to have in the end for maximum yield.

Also could anyone elaborate on growing times? When should I transplant them from 0.7 litre pots (meybe those pots are too small?) to bigger pots and when do they enter into different phases. Also how big pots I should use for end result? Guess the final pot size depends on grow method to be used.

Thanks guys, and thanks for the great community

i saw that soma offered his reg seeds for 40$ extra a pack and fem seeds drastically cheaper would you consider doing this? your big enough that everyone knows your strains so they cant be stolen n rebranded and when we list genetics people naturally look at the parents and consider buying. i think it would add 100kusd a year atleast to your revinue. and you will be giving us the ability to make new thing also and then you get to use our gear as we used your gear. its like sharing but your getting 40$ on top of what you normally get. and i get my reg seeds that finish faster.

Would you guys ever consider selling any of the landraces you get from these trips unstabilized. Obviously you need to grow them to get more seed stock but would you ever sell the seeds you guys get from these first grows to the public. I know in the colombia ,vice, video he says they grow thousands of plants and only pick the best 5, 10 or 20 but do you seed all the plants or do you just seed those best plants and let the rest go unseeded. If you do seed them what happens to the seeds from those 80-90 plants that don't get pick to carry on, would you ever consider selling them to those of us that are looking to build a new breed from the floor up.

I'm just asking because I know that alot of breeding that is going on these days is actually only using a small, specifically selected gene pool. I'm wanting to get ahold of as many unstabilized landraces and even true wild seeds from Asia and India to create some strains of my own. Unlike most I don't want to grow a plant that is as potent as possible. i actually want to grow something that I can enjoy an entire joint of without being stoned out of my mind or end up with couch lock.

Do you guys sell any of these landraces unstabilized or minimally stabilized and do you guys have access to any of these wild seeds that grow throughout Asia, India, and other areas without human intervention, the trully wild cannabis plants. And if so would you ever sell them to the public. Yes I'm aware that the trully wild plants are normally very "weak" plants, but like I said I'm not looking for the most powerful strain, I just want to breed and grow a strain for myself and some friends that I can smoke and enjoy myself, while also having an easier time controlling my high. Take a few puffs for a slight effect, smoke an entire joint for an ok high, and a couple joints to be stoned out of my mind.
