Welcome to another of my journals "Officially" testing the Ice Dreams sent to me courtesy of the great guys at Greenhouse.

As well as the "Official" test seeds I'm also growing some other Greenhouse strains Ipurchased myself, the Big Bang Autos and the White Widow, just left over seeds from previous grow so thought I'd put them in and have a few different strains to smoke at the end.

Plus they'll all be maturing at slightly different times, Big Bangs around 8/9 from germination, Ice Dream, White Widow and White Rhino x Skunk will be photoperiod and take 8-10 weeks of flowering, which will make them about a month behind autos.

Put them all in an overnight soak of plain tap water and tonight they will be planted up in Root Riot germination cubes, then it's donw to mother nature.

This is my first time that grow for GHSC StrainHunters as a Tester of seeds , and i hope to do my best not for to disappoint and to give the best of what we learned so far.

Setup:

-I use soil, perlite and pots of six liters.

-4 Neon x18 w cold light for the first days of germination.

-1 Neon Kit 2 x 55w cold light for the vegetative stage.

-1 MH blu ligh 400 w for the possible other days of the vegetative stage.

-1 HPS Agro light 400/600 w for the flowering stage.

-1 Grow Tent 2 meters high and 1 meters wide square for the grow of the plants.

- For Nutrients use a line of Bio Bizz ( Bio Grow, Bio Bloom, Top Max ), of the Compo line ( Green plants, oxblood ) and of Canna ( NpK 13/14 ).

A few weeks ago I received 10 seeds of ice dream, thanks green house

Germination ratio: 9/10

Soil, Advanced Nutrients, 18-20 degrees at night, 27-28 during lights on.

I tasted it personally, last friday, in Malaha. Really tasty, great job Oscar!!!!

Ice Dream day 54 of flowering and been on plain water for the last 4 days and already the leaves yellowing on the plants and i just pick some of them off. the smaller pheno is almost ready as the trichromes are going amber although i will leave them longer till they darken more and start falling over, then it will be harvest time. the room temp has been increased to 30c and the light will be reduced to 11 hrs in the next few days humidity is 72% and all looking good.

I've put into soaking last week,

Gh Strain :

-1 Exodus Cheese

-1 Kalashnikova

Other :

-1 Vanilla Kush (Barney's)

The Grow material is as follow,

1 Cfl 200w red spectrum

I'm using for this grow a new soil, it is Bio Terra Plus from Bio Canna, i hope it will do fine, there are risk of soil fly with this soil, so i've already placed some yellow glue thing in the tent just in case. I hope they will forget about me haha

The nutes used are all Biobizz , exept for the Green Sensation from Plagron.

There is, BioGrow, BioBloom, BioHeaven, Algamic, and RootJuice. I'm planning on going on Biocanna fert as soon as this one are over.

So Girls have been put into soaking in mineral water with 1ml/L of Nitrozyme in it, the 17/12/11 for a little more than 24h.

After soaking, the 19/12/11, Exodus Bean had already opened in the water very vigorous strain!! Other were on the way to open. So after i took them off the water i put them in the Root riot cube in a plate with very little of mineral water with 1ml/L of Nitrozyme.

The 21/12/11 I've put the root riot into the soil and pots, the exodus already has a root pushing from the cube 2cm, still as vigorous as before The day after, the 22/12/11 , the light turned ON for the first time for this babies, exodus was already showing her head.

This time i need a really quick session so that's why i've put 8 girls in smaller pots, the light are programmed on 12/12 from seed, i've never did this so it will be a first try ^^ i expect small plants, with almost one bud, but that will be enough and i will do my best to make that bud as big as possible hehe

So i count Day 1 from the day that all the girls had push threw the soil, meaning the 24/12/11 , so today is DAY 3 all the girls are doing great.

The kalash is not a Three leaved this time, but neither a Two leaved lol! it's a Two and a Half, one of the two leave is divided in two, i'll see how the next leaves will develop.

Ice Dream seems to be doing Good, the Have germinated pretty fast, right after the exodus, seedling seem healthy so far

This morning I received a packet of ten Ice Dream courtesy of Green House Seeds. I would like to thank Fuzzy, Franco and Arjan for giving me this opportunity.

Germination:

I´ve placed five seeds in damp cloth in between two plates. Current room temperature is around 24ºC so i´m not placing any means of heat to the germination plates. (in winter I put them on the router to keep them warm.)

Once germinated they will be placed in Jiffys and set outdoors on my top balcony away from pests and other plants.

Vegetive growth:

When the first pair of leaves are fully developed (not the cotiledons) they will be transplanted to 20 litre pots.

These plants are going to do a natural cycle, they wont be forced to flower during the summer. They will be harvested by late september early october.

The first month of vegetive growth will be outdoors after that they will be placed in a greenhouse. When placed into the greenhouse (1st of august) they will be transplanted to 60 litre pots.

Soil and Nuts:

They will be grown in Canna all mix proffesional soil. About 50 adult worms will be added to each 20 litre pot, and another 50 to the 60 litre pots. You can order worms online and grow them yourself (compost) http://www.lombriventa.com/contra/tarrina.php I bought them here. They eat all the dead roots leaving room for new ones.

I´ll start fertilizing them after the firs two-three weeks, with Biogrow (Biobizz). I will also water the leaves once a week to remove dust and particles, it doesn´t rain here. If needed do to white fly I will use potassium soap on the leaves.

I´m growing in mediterranean weather: Long hot, no rain, humid summers, and stormy autumn.

Sorry I cant grow all ten seeds. I wasn´t expecting this gift so I went ahead and planted other stuff like tomatoes, strawberrys, corn, peppers.... And my grilfriend wont let me get rid of those plants LOL.

Got my seeds yesterday, starting today

I was expecting Exodus Cheese but received Ice Dream Instead, Not complaining

very curious of the White Lemon, but I guess thats for another time

So here is my general plan.

I am Germinating 3 seeds, All will be treated the same way for this test.

Feed and additives to be used in Veg Cycle.

DNF Gro A+B

Green Up / Dry leaf Product (1-3.5-0)

Medium being used: Coca coir 70% / Hy Droton Clay Pellets 30%

Room Temperatures:

Lights on : 21*c-26*c

Lights off: 15*c-19*c

LIghts: 400w HPS + 3 CFL equaling about 120w.

A humidity dome will be used in Seed and seedling states.

Hey Guys & Girls, time to start a new Ice Dream journal with the last seven test seeds I have from GHSC.

If you've seen my previous grow you'll know they were indoors under 2 x 120 watt LED panels, these are going outdoor in the ground guerilla grow.

I put them in overnight soak on Sunday evening, put in Root Riot germination cubes on Monday, first three seeds popped surface Wednesday and three more today, just one left to pop up and we have 100% germination rate yet again from GHSC.

The three in terracotta colour pots were up yesterday and the black pots today, they are now sitting on the outside of my open tent just catching the rays on the outskirts from my LED panels. They will go in greenhouse tonight, back under LED tomorrow and then they should be strong enough to stay in greenhouse overnight thereafter.

Using greenhouse because I want them to get natural light cycle as they are going outside want to keep sunlight hours consistent with mother natures plan, I'll plant them out in about three weeks.
