Hey Guys & Girls, time for a new journal now that Spring in soon upon us. I thought I'd start off 5 x Big Bang Autos under 125cfl blue vegging light on 20/4 to give them a really good start before I put out in greenhouse to finish the flowering process. I should be able to grow them for about 4/5 weeks under the light in the loft tent before they get too big and have to go outside. I also have to get the greenhouse built, it is currently in bits up the side of my house! A month should give me time, I have to get down old plastic one and then make hard surface to put greenhouse on. Put seeds into overnight soak yesterday and will leave till tomorrow then they will go in Root Riot germination cubes and straight into soil, probably 20cms pots to start. That's it for now, day one should be Saturday. Toaor

hi fellow growers, well after a year of seeking info and gathering supplies i decided that i will start to grow my own weed. it been a long road but i'm finally there. here are some pics from the girls. i'm in day 8 now from seed, and day 2 under 400 watts hps. and have a little problem with the humidity, can't get it higher than 55. hope i'm doing alright so far, every tip is welcome. and will be uploading once or twice a week, keep growing. bless

hahah Jose, yeah bro Dab is great i have a lil one at home SOO i have a nice lil video of the award ceremony uploading right now so as soon it's over i post it here for you guys A little review of thelast day, was a great one!! lots of smoke because people don't want to leave with it haha, so dabudi dabudi dooo :D The beginning of the day was funny you could see the tired faces on the people, and yet they were still here amazing! Long line once again in fonrt of the building at least 1 2 h before the opening of the expo, much quiet people coming talking walking, not much buying but good enough! On this last day Franco and Arjan are as busy as ever making interviews for people everywhere on the world from southamerica to UK and probably russia and asia but i missed them Taking a lot of pictures with customers and talking, usual routine on the Fair ;) Ha the visit of the silika guy with his awesome glass, small discreet, and very clean! i loved the design of the water hole and the nice domeless rig! Ziggi guy was here too with his new packets pretty awesome thinking lol ^^ Think i got a vid of those Attitude seedbank, growshops, everyone is here,everyone comes on the booth and talks with the crew until we go to the ceremony for the awards. Not a big place for that ceremony, but theplace is crowded peple can't get in because too much people and almost all the participants are there too, DNA buddha, eva seeds, paradise etc... and starts the ceremony! First prize comes with the 2nd place of the exodus cheese! An awesome strain and i'm sure she can make a 1st place someday And then comes a little later the Grail 1st place outdoor category with an awesome Cheese!! and i gotta say for having smoked it, what a cheese, sooo cheesy clearlya similar note to the Exodus you can see they are related but still totaly diferent, awesome smoke! So it's all good for GH once again, if i remember correctly it is the first time they ever win a cup at the Spannabis, and are REALLY happy about it!! Now as come the time to undo the booth, less funny but as important, what an amazing puzzle that booth, every little thing has it's placed and it's so well organized that's it's done pretty quickly, and so it's time for a nice Dinner With Millo and his team and the GH crew. Great times Cheers to everyone for the strong support as always, if you are spanish and came to the Fair Gracias and the others too hehey :P And personally Thanks and Congratz to GH and SH for the cups and results!!! Decarboxylation - A method of making the THC more psychoactive through controlled heating. Decarboxylation By Ed Rosenthal - Thursday, January 2 2003 Does marijuana have to be heated to become psychoactive? I bought a Coldfinger to make an extract, but my problem is this: Doesn't marijuana have to be heated to become psychoactive? My solution was to put the marijuana in the oven before putting it in the Coldfinger. But I have no idea how long I should leave it in there, let alone at what temperature. I know THC boils at 392 degrees F. But other cannabinoids, which are essential to the experience, boil off much more quickly. At what temperature can I decarboxylate the THC, while still preserving some of the cannabinoids? Marijuana produces THCA, an acid with the carboxylic group (COOH) attached. In its acid form, THC is not very active. It is only when the carboxyl group is removed that THC becomes psychoactive. When marijuana is smoked, the THC behind the hot spot is vaporized as the hot air from the burn is drawn through the joint or pipe bowl to the unburned material. The liquid THC and other cannabinoids have a boiling point of between 180-200? C (355-392? F). Before they turn gaseous, at around 106? C (220? F), the carboxyl group is released from the molecule as carbon dioxide and water vapor. You will be extracting the THC using low heat in the commercially made Coldfinger Extractor. (They have a very interesting online catalog at www.edenlabs.org). The THC will not reach a temperature in which decarboxylation takes place. However, if you plan to vaporize or smoke the extract decarboxylation will take place as the oil is used. However, it is easy to make sure all the THC is decarboxylated and is at full strength before it is extracted. Although decarboxylation takes place rapidly at 106? C, it proceeds at a more gradual pace by placing the cannabis in a room with low relative humidity and room temperature. As the temperature rises, the rate of decarboxylation increases. Cannabis can also be placed in a food dehydrator to remove the carboxyl group. Although the heat in the food dehydrator doesn't rise to 106? C, the temperature is warm enough to promote drying and the release of the water and CO2. When the marijuana is crispy and brittle you can be assured that the carboxyl group has been removed from the cannabinoids and they are ready for extraction or removal from the plant material. Decarboxylation Details: There are carboxyl-group containing cannabinoids like cannabigerolic acid, cannabidiolic acid, which is an oxidocyclized version of cannabigerolic acid, and tetrahydrocannabinolic acid, that when they lose thier respective carboxyl group, become psychoactive. Although all the pharmacologic literature I've read has focused on THCa, CBDa and CBGa, there are more phytocannabinoids that have a carboxyl group in them - who, after being decarboxylated - become psychoactive compounds. Nothing has shown CC's (carboxyl cannabinoids) to potentiate recreational use more then the same phytocannabinoids would as decarboxylated compounds. THIS is why you decarboxylate, to convert your THCa, CBDa, and CBGa all into non-acid forms, our beloved psychoactive compounds. So now that you know why to decarboxylate, here's how: MICROWAVING Microwave each set of 3 grams, for about 1 minute, 30 seconds to 2 minutes each. This is decarboxylation. On the second batch, I re-microwaved for 1 minute to finish off. Microwaving cannabis is safer then touching your cannabis with your hand. If you’re decarboxylating small batches at a time you should learn how to do it in your microwave. And if it works one day, go extra time the next time. You’ll see its harder then you think to ‘burn up’ or ‘destroy’ any active cannabinoids in the microwave. Your herb will smell stronger, more pungent and crumble with ease when it’s decarboxylated - oven OR microwave method. In the oven, you are going to want to do it for longer then 20 minutes, depending on how much bud you have, it’s degree of dryness, and your chosen temp. 325 to 350 is well known to be safe. At these temps, 25 minutes or more is more than likely necessary. If it smells more dank after the oven decarboxylation than before, and crumbles very easily, its decarboxylated. Alternatively, you can get a food dehydrator. You can tell when it's ready, by the strong smell (not THC escaping, but terpenes escaping) and by pinching the bud in your index and thumb finger, and trying to crush it. If the small nugs crumble, it's decarboxylated. Decarboxylation is when the THC-acid molecule looses it's COOH group, converting it from an inactive kidney cleaner, into the psychedelic THC. How well you decarboxylate, affected by how well you can discern when the cannabis has been decarboxylated, is 50% of making this oil as potent as possible. The other 50%, is frying it until it's dark brown. If you skip this step, or use your cannabis without it crumbling and dry, it won't be the potent oil it can be. NOTE: Re-microwaving is safe, if you microwaved for a minute and 30 seconds and it didnt fully decarboxylate, when re-microwaving the microwave has to re-heat the glass plate youre using to hold the plant. NOTE 2: Always decarboxylate for at least one minute! Even if it's half a gram you're doing. 2 minutes in the microwave at once, does not equal two separate one minute microwaves. The key is to heat, in the microwave, the cannabis until it smells and crumbles like it's decarboxylated. Does Microwaving Destroy THC? Yesterday I used the microwave to decarboxylate another batch, but this time I microwaved for 2 minutes, three separate times. This decarboxylated the bud even more! 1 minute 30 seconds to 2 minutes is safe because the glass plate doesnt get hot enough to vaporize the cannabinoids. Even if you stop it at 2 minutes, mix up the bud on the plate, and microwave for another 2 minutes, it's safe. 2 minute microwaves in two sets does NOT equal 4 minutes in the microwave. 4 minutes will burn your cannabis and cannabinoids, but two separate 2 minute sets works to decarboxylate better than once. Yesterdays batch was stronger and I used less bud, so I know that microwaving the same cannabis twice for 2 minutes each time is safe, and reccomended. I left the bud with small nugs as you can see on the plate below, because when I try to crush these little nugs I can get a feel for wether the bud has decarboxylated. If they crumble, they are done. Now you have your 6 (2 sets of 3) grams of decarboxylated cannabis, it should smell stronger then before, be extra dry and crumble when you try to crumble it. This is where you add your oil/butter of choice to the container. LARD Lard is not the only fat you can cook with, any fat will do, but here's why I use it (among other fats for different occasions): Lard can be cooked with any meat, and its good to fry in. Potatoes fried in lard, thats what they call chips in the UK. If youre going to use lard for your cannabis edibles I only recommend it if you like how it tastes by itself, and you eat it the way I do in the thread. Reason being, it would taste weird in brownies, and would probably not go well on any sweets in general. Lard works for meats and broths, soups and stocks. I eat tablespoons of cannabis infused lard with my steak meals, but thats because I've learned that saturated fat is the healthiest fat, because we've been eating it for millenia. It has large amount of saturated and monounsaturated fat. I try to keep my diet at around 65-70% fat, 25% protien and 5-10% carbs. Now that I think about it, I wouldnt eat my infused lard any other way then straight with meat, or possibly soup. Lard is such a cheap fat, like a dollar a pound, compared to olive oil or coconut oil. Not to mention it's perfect for for frying or cooking, since it has no particles like unrefined coco/olive oil, and tastes great on potatoes and plant foods. If I want to fry some potatoes, cook some meat with bell peppers, onion, or any other vegetables, I always use lard. If your fat is solid at room temp, like butter or lard or any other saturated fat, melt the lard or butter in the container by itself until the fat becomes a liquid. You obviously melt the butter in the container or pot over the stovetop. Only add enough to cover the cannabis in the same container! You can always add extra fat later, remember, but you CANT TAKE ANY OIL OUT after the cannabis is added if you put too much. Butter bubbles when fried, so butter can help reach any bud that gets stuck on the side of the container. Combinations of butter and other fats work too. This is the same container, with melted lard, cannabis, and see the white thing? Thats a little bit extra (solidified at room tempurature) lard for good measure. Sometimes you need to add a little extra oil to make sure all the cannabis is submerged. More oil to cannabis will spread out the amount of time it takes for your body to digest the oil and recieve the cannabinoids. FRYING THE CANNABIS That extra lard will quickly melt down into the rest of the oil. By this time you have all of your decarboxylated cannabis inside the container, with sufficient fat to cover and submerge the cannabis. For the frying, you only want to fry for under 5 minutes. The direct flame as you can see, heats the oil and cannabis in the container. If you have an electric stove, use that, if you have an outdoor stove - thats even better - because there is a little bit of smoke and lots and lots of smell! This is okay and safe and you're doing it right, the smell is terpenes, not active cannabinoids. Turn on the fans, open the windows, or if you can, do the entire frying process outside. Within about 20 minutes, the smell should dissipate anyway. But for extra safety, be ready to air out location. Stir consistantly as it fries. It should be smelling and bubbling now. Fry like this, on a medium-high heat until dark brown. This is a fast process, about 5 minutes. Once you think it's been fried DARK BROWN, wait an extra 30 seconds for good frying measure. Then - careful not to burn yourself - take the container to cool outside. When I took a look at the cannabis after being fried, I went back inside, turned the stove top on again, and fried it for an additional 2 minutes. This is because as you can see in the photographs, the cannabis was not COMPLETELY browned... ... This is of course optional, but the more you fry, the more potent the cannabis oil becomes (until you've fried it all out). Leave it outside to cool and so the smell wont stink up your house, for about 10 minutes or so. And there you have it! Potent, decarboxylated, properly fried cannabis oil that will knock you on your fucking ass, and then some. You can have anything from mellow mood change(1/2 gram), regular fun trips(1-2.5 grams) or heroic doses(4 or more grams) with heroic highs using this method. Anyone who told you that you couldn't actually have a psychedelic trip using cannabis, hasn't done this. No matter what amount you eat, the effects last the entire day. With this method I only dose once a day, and some days I skip because the stone lingers from the day before. Eat it with a good sized meal, preferably with protien, some fat and a small amount of carbs. It's safe to eat this infused oil with any meal including a high fat meal. I don't separate the plant material because I eat the oil together with a meal. The plant material contains cannabinoids, you can separate it to use the oil in a recipe, and just eat the plant material separately. This does work for brownies or anything else. Eat roughly a third to half of your meal, then take tablespoons of edibles as you desire, chase them down with water or a drink, and then finish eating. Try to make this your 2nd meal of the day, first will work but you don't want first pass metabolism to get any cannabinoids in the oil. If you eat it as your first meal of the day, eat some food 20 minutes before you start taking the oil. I dosed on this last night 3 grams, and saved the other 3 grams for tonight. I was so gone, 3 grams is actually a bit too much for me. I still feel the cannabinoids in my system more then 24 hours since dose time. And this is schwag bud and prices. 3 grams comes out to about 3.50 to 4 dollars. The most prominent period of the high lasts for about 6 - 9 hours or more, depending. naw man it's 1 plant with 5 massive top's that are tied together it might be hard to see the trainwreck because in frount of that beast it is definatly over shadowed i will show you what i mean by taking a picture and circling each plant in a little bit , and my apology if i miss interpreted what you ment. but right now i need a minute because i gotta update the FINAL HARVEST SHOTTTTTTTTTTSSSSSSSS! yes yes all the plant's are down wait till you see the size of some of these massive nug's my god !!!!!!!! Day 75 !!!! WL#3 & and WL #1 ok so today i took down the last 2 plant's both are huge and it was like taking down 5 plant's and i think the yeild will definatly reflect that so anyways here are the picture's nothing to fancy but i wanted to show a few size comparison's aside from that just a couple picture's. WL #1 POWERFEEDING ONLY is a beast !!!!!!!!!!! ok so that's before comming down here's after anyone questioning the ability of powderfeeding will drop there jaw's at the site of this massive cola. that it right a main cola longer and bigger then my forearm and obviously fatter GHSC POWDERFEEDING !!!!!!!!!!!!! KEEP IT SIMPLE!!!!!!!!! but the main cola isent the only thing impressive about this plant look at this shot of the whole WL #1 plant hanging on a coathanger!!! as you can see the latteral cola's alone would make for an impressive plant but combined it's a knockout yeild wise. and now for WL #3 the big beast WL seem's to take really well to being topped, this plant is the result of being topped once after the 7th internode alittle late but it turned out really well because it like tricked the lateral cola's into thinking they are tops and produced 5 really impressive tops wwell 4 really impressive top's and one decent one that i am sure are gonna be heavy yeilder's as well GHSC White lemon #3 ppowderfeeding & cal mag + bio bud & bio marine ok so that's right before harvest !!!! now for after!!! a quick side by side of the biggest cola from WL#3 beside the main cola of WL#1 and in this next picture you have the entire WL#3 hanging from a coathanger here is the 3rd biggest top from the plant in the next picture and a close up of all 5 tops and a few more quick size comparison's and finally all the weed from the 2 plants hanging in my closet for drying !!!! Thank's to everyone who followed this grow and all the encouraging comment's this forum rock's !!!! when i started this grow i wasent really sure where i was gonna go with it with regard's to testing but eventually i desided i wanted to show people that powderfeeding is a great nutrient to use ether as a stand alone as you can see from WL#1 MASSIVE COLA or as a base nutrient in conjuction with other flowering product's. it's something that anyone can use from guy's ho spend hundred's of dollar's on supplement''s for the plant's or someone who need a great all around nutrient and doesent want to spend an arm an a leg to get it . anyways that's it for now i will be back ith the dryed product and the final weight in of these two plant's. just again for anyone that missed it the first 2 plant's weighted in at ... first half weight in and total's GHSC WL #2 : came in at 63.4 g's dry GHSC TrainWreck : came in at 31.1 grams dry in total so i got 94.5 gram's from the first 2 plant's, i can make a pretty safe bet that the two i just harvested will bring in quite a bit more then that.

Day 19: Hi Guys & Girls, I hope you've all had a good week, it's time for the weekly update. Checked nutes before emptying EC 1.9 & pH 5.7 so set the fresh nutes at EC 1.65 & pH 5.8, fed them as per HESI instructions. Bloom 50ml per 10 liters Powerzyme 20ml per 10 liters PK 13/14 2.5ml per 10 liters Supervit Drops 1 per 4.5 liters, gave mine 2 drops in 10 Liters and my reservoir is filled with 20 liters in total. All are looking healthy, lush and green, pistils popping out all over definitely the quickest strain I've grown to show so many pistils, normally I'm waiting 14-21 days to see the first pairs of little white hairs. Am running out of room height wise though so will probably have to start bending in a week or so or put a screen in tent. Here's the pics Toaor

GHSC WHITE LEMON #2 powderfeeding and general organic's bud update!! alright so today is the 5th day of drying , the bud's are getting there nearly dry enough to put in jar's maybe 1 - 2 day's top's, i have to say one thing tho about this white lemon by far it is the highest quality strain i have grown so far in my time growing indoor, so many rock solid frosty nuggest that just stink of like a really fresh widow haze combo. the last day or so of drying i like to take the plant's down trim them and stick them in open tub's to just sort of slow down the drying process a little, right now even with how big and soild the nuggest are it is dry enough to where you could smoke a joint of it right now but i like it just a little more dryed out so i am gonna wait till tommorow sometime to put the lid on th jar's. i am gonna do just a few picture's to show the quality of this strain. once its fully done and been in the jar for a week i will do the weight in and post the result's but this is just alittle something for the mean time. this picture is alittle dark but i wanted to show a picture just in room light before i show the picture's taken under florescent lighting so people doing think i am playing camera tricks. this is the top part of the main cola from WL#2 i had to take some bud off the bottem part because it was too big to fit into the jar. same bud but under better lighting. more white lemon #2 this hole update is white lemon #2 those last picture's where just under a florescent light, here is one with the flash to show the difference. now this next picture is the whole plant sitting in a 2L tub and this last one is the same tub but without the main cola just to show that there are alot of big nice bud's from this one plant again this is just a little teaser of what's to come once everything is down and what not i will take better shot's of everything and weight everything out to show yeild per plant and my total harvest yeild anyway's thanks for sticking around everyone and there is still more to come so stay tuned for that in 2 day's i am gonna do an update for the other 2 plant's still going strong.

Tonight my Arjan Strawberry Haze and the 3rd Afgooey have sprouted the 2 didn´t need any help and showed green coloration this morning so off they went into the light here´s an other picture. Coming 2 days I´ll be selecting only 5 can stay the 2 Afgooey that have sprouted are selected for the revieuw, 1 SSH and 1 Ladyburn and the Arjan Strawberry Haze are here to stay also. The rest will be grown in a tent @ a friends house. That way we save ourselves alot of money by not having to go to the coffeeshop and we allways have top notch weed to smoke as this strains stand for top notch cannabis producers.

I can take 1-1,5 grams per watt in this technique. In my box 60W LED Light and I can take 60 - 90+ grams dry buds. In this report maybe don`t be greatest result. For this need few weeks more vegetation or more plants in box. But I hope grow little be more faster and with maximum result for this time and one plant with good yield like skunk. Hello everyone, These are my two white rhinos at just over a week into flower They're on canna coco with some perlite and the full canna coco range They had 4 weeks under a MH and although they are tight I do think growth has been slow- possibly due to the spring tails I'm currently battling One has 4 main branches and the other 6- they've all been tied back near horizontal so all the small branches will get plenty of light Anyway let me know if anyone has any general suggestions- how long I should keep pulling the branches back n stuff Thanks for looking

thanks everyone well momlop hears the update well hear we are start of week 2 flowering and my god they have grown in the last week and so bushy girls well its time to become ladies now lol right so the ppm is at 789 ph at 6.2 water temp 23 room temp day 27 night 23 humidity 50 percent they get waterd 500ml twice a day by hand all te pots before i potted them have had lots of hole drilled in to help gettin the air in to the roots well hears some pics peace

thank you guys, mate blind typing is the way forward, the best way to document your gow hahaha. or we could always call it high typing if you wish lol. yes well i have the white lemon to grow then after the cup i will do the money maker, the rerason why i have 2 testing strains is becaused m,y white lemon where 7 weeks late and yours truely send me out another 10 seeds that are money mnaker. win win but will show my thanks with a heck of a grow with what i have. at the moment the plants are 3 inches in height showing the true leaves just starting veg now, when you slightly brush the youbng leaf you get a fresh smell ogf old school skunk with a hint of citrus. i do have one og kush anand will be growing that along side the 4 white lemons but thatts just a substitute. white lemons will not be fed any powder feedinng untill they are 4 weeks of veg ( flowering time bitches ) or untill they start to show lack of vital nutrients in the plants. i am new to growing but no my stuff, no over watering, no over feeding and always constant checking of condictions.

first off thanks for the friendly welcome i have recently started growing an easyryder (only doing 1 just now to see how it turns out) and when im checking about the nutrients im getting conflicting information some people are telling me to start with veg for 3 weeks then move onto bloom others are saying start on straight water for the first 3 weeks then move to bloom just wondering if anyone can clear this up for me.Thanks P.S i started by just using water and the plant looks nice and healthy it is only 7 days old Attached files

Yes dust has helped me threw this grow he's a quality mod thats for sure il just do my best with what ever ends up. will be getting a digital timer now thats for sure. buds are very big for this early stage but i hope its my growing now the hidden balls lol
