High together, I want to welcome you to my Autoflowering Grow Journal. After my White Widow (GHSC) harvest and drying procedure I put 3 Kalashnikova Auto seeds to germinate. Today the 3 seeds where put in soil, after germinating them with the Greenhouse method. (soak for 24h, then put on wet toiletpaper for 24h) The top of the pots where covered with plastic foil to create a humid enviroment. (initial root lengths when planted: about 4mm) The first medium I am using for my seeds is a premixed soil mix with perlite and low nutrition made by "ASB GREENWORLD". [N:150-500 mg/L,P2O5: 40-300 mg/L, K2O: 50-400 mg/L] My Kalashnikovas will recieve Greenhouse Powder Feeding when first growing stage is over (i guess in about 3 weeks) Everybody starts their Journals with some nice pics, right now I havent got any but will ad them soon when the babys sprout. All of us just have to be a bit patient untill we can see our babys.

Hi People, Here we go again finally it's that time of year again when we can harness the sun to grow our supplies, Prefer to grow outdoors as so many spectrums in the sun, which gives the end results a more varied high as the plants are given the chance to develop to there full potential. I have started last night by popping 2 of the seeds in to a glass of water at room temperature. I soaked them and removed them from the glass today. They are now sitting on a bed of paper towel in a warm cupboard. I have planted the 3rd directly into the soil an watered them lightly with the same room temp water, they to are in a warm cupboard. I wanted to see if it was quicker to germinate them way suggested on the GHS page, but will run a more comprehensive test when the indoor season starts again. I will be using Easy mix again for my grow provided by the local growshop. My friend has been meening to get them for a while so was a nice surprise when I got home to 200 litre's in front of my broken car. Didn't fancy the bus! Bit of a google translate job on the ingredients, sure one of the dutch speaking growers may have a better idea. veenmosveen - sphagnum peat turfstrooisel - peat litter woormenhumus - Worm molds/casts Pumic Stone - similar to perlite bemesting van n-p-k meststoffen en sporenelementen - fertilization of npk fertilizers and trace elements Dutch class over! i will be potting them in small 1 litre tubs then move them within a week to 17litre tubs (see pic). The 17litres won't fit in the mini greenhouse so thats why they are going in the smaller pots first. I will also use 3-5 cm of Clay pebbles in the bigger pots. Once sprouted and in the pots the mini greenhouse will go straight to the garden, unless temps going below 10 then they will go in the kitchen window. I like to get them out asap harden the little beggars up. That's about it for now. I do intend splitting the stems once they are bigger , slows growth for a little while, but makes the lower stems much stronger. Top tip from Dr.Green's Instagreen feed. A few pictures of my kit and freshly painted outdoor grow room. Quick question Mods, can i also show my 2 Kalashnikova Auto in this report as have 2 of them also going outside. Will stop the wife complaining about lack of plants in the garden.

Whats up community Down here for a new season and journal So whats news: Iv upgraded the "tree house green house" since my last grow so now i have about triple the same to grow up there Although this greenhouse is a safe spot, i need more bud at the end of a long day - Time for some guerrilla mission - Shittttt i hope i don't get arrested :pogranichnik: :pogranichnik: !!! Iv been busy on a spot down the road in Forrest area where i will hopefully have about five large females. I found a new spot in an old house where i can plant about another five to ten females. AND then there is the tree house which can hold about four large plants or ten small. So that's the plan for the next coming weeks, a couple spots (diversification of investments ) not too far away, and then my secure tree for a assured harvest - all organic :) Everyone wish me luck, last time i guerrilla'd a motherfu*%# chased me through the bush :fie: As for this seasons seeds For the guerrilla spots: - cheese x local landrace (10): I got these seeds out some mega dank and cheesy bud. Its a cheese that's been crossed with one of our local landrace seeds. I'm hoping they will be very cheese like but still thrive in the outdoor climate. - Original Berry FEM(2):- Kannabia Seed company. I got this seeds free from a friend who originally bought them from a customs officer from the airport ! This is AFRICA - Crazy Miss Hyde FEM(1): - Samsara Seeds. Also from customs, came as a freebie - Other strains will be added to the gardens as they arrive For the tree house: - Original Berry FEM (3) - Sugar Mango Ryder Autoflowering FEM (1) - Kalashnikova Autoflowering FEM (10): Still to arrive from Greenhouse SO EXCITED FOR THESE ! So there's the plan and the strains that will keep me busy this summer time I'll fill you in on the soil mix, nutes and other details later in the journal I can feel it, this one is going to be good. Here's some pictures of the little babies, they are about a week and a bit old now Down below there is also a picture of 3 small plants that were indoor- I needed pollen and they all came out female Anyway This season is off to a good start Thanks for checking it out Outdoor all the way

Question From the member GHS: Hey i have a question about seeds. in our local seed shop we just got regular ghs seeds.Arjan haze 1,el nino, nevile's haze.did the ghs purchasing regular seeds cause i dont see it on main site or another cannabis trade platforms? peace Let's clarify: we stopped producing regular seeds for commercial purposes in 2009. We still have breeding projects going, but it's for our own in-house use only. Some distributors and growshops might still have in stock OLD packs of regular seeds, but they are at least 4 years old by now. Shops selling those packs are a ripoff.

This is a post designed for breeders and breeding novices alike. I have found that many people are having difficulty in collecting pollen for themselves, what i have come up with is a way for everyone to share their pollen strains I propose that we breeders and growers share our pollen stores with oneanother for the purpose of creating new and better strains between ourselves. There will be a seperate post for each country (making it easier to send packages, as pollen will usually only be sent to the same country). ................................................................................................................................................................................................................ Collectors of pollen should include; what type of pollen it is/strain; how old it is; and any other information they think may be of use to the grower (people swapping pollen strains can make an agreement that when the plant is harvested, the resulting seeds CAN be shared between the two parties). If you have pollen to swap then make a post and detail what you require in return Take Care. ................................................................................................................................................................................................................. WE ARE THE PEOPLE AND WE ARE THE ONLY ONES WHO CAN MAKE THIS WORK. LETS TRY

Hey guys Trimmed all the fan leaves off last night for the last few days , i am going to harvest on Saturday and put some more pics and weights up then (just posted the weight of the fan leaves for now), also stole some bud the last couple of weeks and broke a branch off so she should have been a bit fuller lol. So far relatively happy with the grow , would have been so much better if the WSS made it aswell, but considering how they were looking after the old molasses nearly choked them to death lol, it could have been worse. Easy strain to grow and as you can see she handled the stress like a champ. No hassles with heat either as i had some hot spells at the end of summer. Only used powder feed and super happy at how easy it is to use and will order some more soon. Will put a smoke report up once i have some that is dried enough. Moppy

Hey Mopman my brother:) The Chemdog really turned out to be a winning strain, I can see why its so popular in the american dispensaries:) Here's a small report back, The greenhouse Chemdog budded into a really thick, dank, sticky plant with mega thrichome production all over the light green buds. The aroma off the bud hits your nose hard, tickling your inner nasal vent with its whisps of sour chem and lime. The feel of the flowers are a wet, very sticky consistancy due to the large Indica resin glands. On the inhale the smoke pinches the nose pleasantly and the Indica hits you hard, leaving you highly medicated until the cows come home. I do highly recommend this strain to anyone who loves a dank, smelly and potent medicine. Here's a picture of the bud upclose and one of the buds, I only grew the plants to about 1m, however these were the thickest, biggest buds iv seen in comparison to size. Peace everyone

Hey Guys Chopped her last night. Was meant to do it this weekend but got caught up. Got the whole plant hanging up at the moment so she drys a bit slower.I have no control over the room im drying in but it is in the dark and its winter at the moment so she should dry slow enough. I will post some pics and weights up soon. Probably the day before the cut off date Also wanted to say thank you to all who followed the journal , its been a interesting and bumpy road and its been great to have you guys around. Again i say thanks to GH for the seeds and powder feed and for the great comp, it really helped me to be able to try your product as i would not have otherwise as the postage costs here are ridiculous , but now i know its worth it and will fork out the cash for more lol , was a good idea and a great way to get your product to the people. Hopefully she will be dry in ten days. Moppy

i've never tried this, but i think 2 600w won't work at full power on 1 600w ballast, might work but might fire too :s Best and safest way would be to use 2 600w ballast and you'll have better harvest anyway I've seen people do what you wanna do but wasn't with digital so don't want to induce you in dangerous ways Good luck

My brother has travel for work to Uzbekistan, and he say that peopel there is really nice and welcomeing. None of the countries is dangerous, like the neighbors Iran and China (I would not want to be cacht smoking in neither of them) Life is cheap so making a month traveling around has to cost nothing, the most expensive part will be the travel to get there. They are big time unexplore, unlike Africa or Sudamerica The 4 of them are close geographycaly to Afganistan Pakistan, and north India. And but is more important they are in similar latitudes, so the clima will be ok for are plants to grow there I´m sure that in the valleys between the montains has to be landraces waiting to be descover and smoked. What do you guys think?

yeah that's true, after the first flush i dried them out to long i think, and the top leaves never recovered from it. but the buds are indeed nicely and have a nice size to it. i can't complain with my first grow ever. thanks

UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!! DAY 14 from seed!!!! time schedule: 18hr's on 6hr's off Well so far so good!!! the plant's are a really healthy green color, and the leaf's have a shine to them as well. Today was the 2nd feeding, as for my feeding schedule i am following the general organic's recommended dosing. I apply the organic nutrient's once a week and in the middle of the week i give a light watering with just plain water. my PH sit's at 6.2 right now and the temperature is 27 degree's i would like to lower it a bit because i have been having problem's keeping the heat down due to the weather lately. Once my air conditioner is turned on it will be fine. i personally have grown autobomb before and both time's i noticed that autobomb is pretty sensitive when young to hotter temperature's even at 27 degrees i am seeing curling on a couple leaf's but at 27 degree's it won't effect the plant's all that much any higher and i would see more visible sign's of heat damage so it is something i have to keep an eye on. As for the growth incredible, i was expecting slower growth this time around from switching from coco back to soil but so far the growth is rapid and the plant is really compact internode length is very tight, with autobomb you really wanna do everything you can to keep the growth compact especially in the early week's of growth as the strain has a fairly intense stretching period in the 4th and 5th week from seed in comparison to strain's like green o matic not obscenely intense the plant's growth is still very indica like but still it's something you should be aware of when growing auto bomb and act accordingly in the week's leading up to the arrival of preflower's. current dosage per US Gallon & list of nutrient's applyed: all product's are from General Organic's Bio thrive: 10 ml Cal Mag + : 10 ml Bio root: 10ml's Bio weed: 5ml's Bio marine: 5ml's: Diamond black: 10ml's GH Auto Bomb: Plant #1 GH Auto Bomb: Plant #2 and here is a picture of the joint doctor / Mdanzig Blue streak aka blue ryder in the next week or so when it show's sign's of it's sex i will open a new journal for it . and finally a group shot!!! "Alright well that's it for week 2 of my grow, until next week stay safe and happy huntin!," GREEN O

Looking good bro!! Very nice start..and way to branch out and try something different again with the soil grow. Like you said yourself, the growth has been just awesome and would rival or beat many hydro results at the same stage All plants look great but the autobombs definitely stand out against the blue ryder. I will take my usual seat until the end. Best of luck with the new ladies!! EDIT - Ya just realized you started the blue ryder a bit later..duh..but I still say the autobombs look healthier Peace

The point of a Landrace companie is to spread some native OG strains. I don't mind some crosses if the outcome is great but then it could be sold via Greenhouse as well. Seems the landraces do take longer to be stable indoors and to feminize them is a whole different story. I am also sure Arjan won't cme out with a crappy new company that offers 3 strains or so. It just takes as long as it takes, better wait till it is right than opening early and have a disapppointing start. Not sure if the FBK is for the Strainhunters line. It was introduced under Greenhouse seeds, the 3rd place winner in the Sativa line Green Shack was labeled as Strainhunters seeds very first cup entry; so expect these first but real Sativas are not what most growers want.. Would love to take an inside view on the lines in the breeding facilities atm. They were busy collecting seeds from all over Marocco, India, Malawi, Swaziland, Jamaica, Carribbean etc. The Himalaya Gold would also qualify as a landrace. A nice strain with a mild relaxing high. I think some of these strains will be milder than the hybrids and clone only THC bombs that are en vogue right now.

Freaky cough after smoking just killing me. It is real problem as for me. Maybe it is my lamp's make this plant more aggressive I don`t know it for sure. About plant I can say more now. It is not too so powerful genetic, but effect as for me good for every day smoking, it is not make you like stone and you can move and make some work`s with pleasure. But as I say: some times when you want some more powerful from the smoking Lemon Skunk not give it to you, plant don`t have any some special in effect after smoking and COUGH . Time when effect after smoking still as for me medium, but not low. Plant not make me very hungry Smoke Power 7/12 as for me, filling can changes time after time when you smoking.

About us

Strain Hunters is a series of documentaries aimed at informing the general public about the quest for the preservation of the cannabis plant in the form of particularly vulnerable landraces originating in the poorest areas of the planet.

Cannabis, one of the most ancient plants known to man, used in every civilisation all over the world for medicinal and recreational purposes, is facing a very real threat of extinction. One day these plants could be helpful in developing better medications for the sick and the suffering. We feel it is our duty to preserve as many cannabis landraces in our genetic database, and by breeding them into other well-studied medicinal strains for the sole purpose of scientific research.
