10 likesI have participated in the three modes, making very large jobs, very common and very photographic publications of quality and imagination, and my are not the best. However other simpler work has been top rated. I am one of the best areas of Spain for outdoor growing and I know that there are certain advantages, but otherwise ... Each one has placed a bet, and the judges gave their verdict. I have always won awards and all I have found surprises, some bittersweet for not understanding. But I realized that the awards are not important. For me, the organization has made a worthy event to thank, I had a very good and won good friends, for me the most important. Thanks, Strain Hunters. As I have always said, you are very great. And congratulations to the other winners ...

9 likesCongratulations to the winners and congrats to all others that took part, just finishing an outdoor grow is an achievement. Here in Scotland is not ideal I'm also going to avoid this heated conversation as best I can, I only ask you leave Dust alone, he works hard for this forum and doesn't deserve your negativity. Undutched - What's worse? losing the contest or your dignity? Don't loose both dude, there's always next time

8 likesMan what a bunch of pussies .. I am shocked - you did not win ? So ask yourself why and do not report others for so called bending of rules.. That is so ridiculus. The LED may have less than 0,001% influence on the great amount AND quality that Mykol grew with his super Caboose. He did the best and most interesting outdoor grow here in this forum imo. It was a constant supply of updates with lots of pictures and details. He tried to safe his plants during an untimely bad weather/storm jthunder showers, cold and even though he could have harvested them already he went that extra mile to get real proper ripe weed. I doubt anyone had stuff like that in mind when he talked about flowering must be done outdoors. If he had just put them inside a grow room for the last weeks or so I could understand why some say that would be unfair BUT hey first is the JOB. Grow proper weed then any contest ! After alll that amount of work and constant massive risk - it would have been foolish to reap too early or even worse let the weed get rotten or infested with mold/fungie etc. . I am glad the in soil moster DAMNESIA did win - Didn't he do something with a laamb too .. LOLI am glad Mykol got respect for his grow journal. Well done and getting free seeds/powderfeeding is always a good thing. You still got the weed and that makes you the Number 1winner here anyway. To all participants - Good job ! PEACE

6 likesHello Congratulations to all the winners! I am not surprise to see that the top grows are from spain, they have the best conditions it's normal that they are in the top! However I'm glad to some nice grow from SH that I have follow, congratulations guys I had no really hope to win a prize but I already win, I had some free seeds & free nutriments, meet nice people, made my first journal for my second grow... This was a very nice experience ! And I have some free gifts now :-) Thanks a lot

4 likesHi friends, Messages sent to all the winners, to collect data and carry out the awards Have a nice day!! Jose

4 likesMaybe 5% mould hardly a failure. Our mouldy unfinished plants still looked streets ahead of yours buddy , and the judges agreed

4 likesCongratulation to everyone to the winners and to everyone who participated!! It is unfortunate to see so much arguing when it was such a positive contest and obviously a tough outdoor year for many It might help to think that Greenhouse and Strainhunters didn't have to put this contest on in the 1st place and a lot of it was about learning, growers talking, lots of grows to check out, limits pushed and MAYBE winning a prize. There are never any guarantees and it can't be easy to judge! Peace

4 likes**** BLOOM day 11, more pruning **** All I can say is "WOW" again I looked in the buckets today to make sure all my air stones were working properly and my jaw dropped when I saw the size of the "tap" roots coming out of the net pots. There are a couple net pots that are broken and have been snapped by the growth and girth of these tap roots coming out. This is a 1st for me to see those roots that BIG starting week 2 of flower. I'm actually nervous right now that the volume of roots in my buckets will be too dense for the water to circulate efficiently by the time I finish this Jack grow. Good thing I have a few backup pumps if I burn it out this grow It's a good and a bad problem…. Like I said in the earlier update, I came in and thinned out the tops, and tried to allow as much light as possible to get through the plants. I'm only going to do 1 more big prune/gutting in the middle of week 3 and hopefully by then the plants will be putting the energy into flowers instead of leaves and more branches hehe….. The shades are working awesome, and the A/C and breeze in the room is perfect. The crazy thing about all this, is that I kicked them into flower when they were 2-3" above the tomato cage which I do for most of the strains. But I don't know if it's the strain of Jack I have or the higher EC values I'm running early on that is creating so much vertical growth, so quick! Next time I do this strain of Jack, I'll be kicking 3-5" "BELOW" the tomato cage I've also turned on the remaining lights on the outside of my room which are (12) 400watt HPS. Now that they've gotten over the shock of the 12hr switch, they're ready for the rest. My "bottled" CO2 is set @ 1125ppm and will stay there throughout BLOOM. All we can do is watch now

3 likesAloha all. I'm glad I've found this site/place! I used to grow back in the 70's and 80's and am interested in doing so again (now that the kids are all adults...). I look forward to learning from those of you who are sucessfully growing now! - ~O~

3 likesCongratulations to all growers, great job .. enjoy! and Bam Bhole, His words are worth as much as the victory! for me many thanks for what you said, brother. respect!

3 likesFirst of all mykol only started to feel ofended but i've seen undutched tell him this thing for more than a month already and he hasn't said nothing until now. Secondly, "Next year if you decide to make an other contest, make sure you write the rules as you wish, and stick to it!!!" if it's not written in the rules "do not use artificial lights", aren't we already sticking to the rules and aren't you the one making a whole thing about it? now i agree it could have been more elaborated, and it will probably be better next year, but until now there had not been any problem.. Third, if your plants were in a pot and in yoru garden, you dare to tell me you wouldn't have brought them inside when the nights were below 5° and if very bad weather was coming?? Man come on let's stop now because i know you, like you said, i know it's not to be mean and that in the end nobody wants nothing against anyone. so stop now, if Arjan and Franco admin and all the managers decided this was ok, it's the end of story. Peace man!!

3 likesHello again friends and strainhunters family It has only been a few days since last update but I thought I would share with you some pictures to show how much they like their new home and to start a baseline chart of measurements that will be continued with new measurements at least once a week, possibly more if there is lots of growth and my schedule permits For anyone who followed my last autoflower journal, I've finished weighing the last 4 plants and I was super stoked to discover I surpassed my goal of 1 pound yield by 46 g's to bring in a total of 500 grams!! I will be posting my first smoke report of the Sweet Mango plant © that was the first harvested along with updated pictures of the curing plant. Here's the link if anyone wants to check it out.. http://www.strainhunters.com/forums/topic/5180-second-grow-600w-hps-leds-ghsc-fully-automatic-nl-sweet-mango-super-critical/page__st__160 I hope everyone enjoyed there weekend!! 19/01/13: Days 12-13 (3 days since transplant) Tasks completed: - Rotated plants as per every 24 hrs to give them even light Summary & observations: - I think that Dust and Tokage are correct and SLH#3 is showing signs of phosphorous deficiency. Looking at the Cal-Mag Plus, there is no (P) in it at all. I think that the babies could have used more PF from the start to give them the (P) they need. I’m hoping this doesn’t slow them down too much. - Other than the (P) issue, growth was really nice over the past 48 hrs and they seem to be enjoying their new set-up. I’m going to give them another day and watch them closely. I may foliar feed them with the PF diluted as per directions in the next couple days, but right now they are going into nutrient charged media and I want to give them a chance to get used to things and hopefully take advantage of the nutrients before rushing things and overloading them. 20/01/13: Days 13-14 Tasks completed: - Took measurements of all plants. I’m going to update measurements at least every 7 days. - Added new CO2 releasing pad Environment & Measurements: Temp @ top of “canopy” light on: 25-27 °C Night temperature: 21 - 22 °C Room rH: 57 – 67 @ % Light height from tallest plant (T5): 16 cm Light height from tallest plant (LEDs): 27 cm **HAVING PROBLEMS GETTING A CHART TO UPLOAD FROM EXCEL WITH MEASUREMENTS..ANY SUGGESTIONS GUYS? **

2 likesMen, my english isnt good. winter = greenhouse, ofc all have problems with cold. Undutched, What?
-
2 likesThe judges have already made their decision, everything is correct as stated. He had permission to do so, for a few days due to problems with winter, everything is correct. As we said, the next time will be more clear on the rules of the contest to avoid these problems. All inquiries are answered and admit no more "bad feeling" Undutched have already heard your complaints (and bosses too), so everything is finished. I hope I never have to repeat again, end of bad feeling. In future competition rules will be different and may participate all you want. Cheers and have a nice day

2 likesYes sadly I have no tent and extractor fans , various lights, tents like you. I just 1 400w lamp and a cold wet damp cellar. Amazing really the significant difference in results , since you spent hundreds in your set up to my 90€, no one likes a sore loser , have some dignity in defeat and some as it to motivate you there big and better

2 likesHey guys here's some pics from the last 2 days. She went over to 12/12 today and the bulb has been rotated for more red light to be used than blue. Noticed a tiny bit of what i think is nute burn, hoping this is down to measuring the feed by eye but we now have scales. Any opinions would be appreciated. We will also be putting in some side lighting soon as my mate returns the wrong fitting bulbs he bought. Peace.

1 likewow, nice main cola. This strain is one of my favorites, make a good final flush, and have a good harvest.

1 likeWell Levente, it is called Tolerance i still can't believe i have to explain this to you.. but here it is, the tolerance rule would highly suggest that if someone does something against one of the rule because his plants were threatened by something else, and that this very own thing happens on 5 days on a cycle of almost 200 days. then of course i would not disqualify him because i'm not like this sorry.. it seems you are. what I would do is maybe punish him with a 1 rank down ranking, which i think was done, seeing he is 7th but i would certainly not disqualify him for this NO! If he had flowered his entire cycle indoor of course yes.. now that's where we come again to tolerance.. you know the thing you ask to the cops and people around us when it comes to cannabis? the only result you got by continueing this argument is that mykol is gone. Very sad to come to this point and i hope Mykol we will see you back around really quickly! I know Levente is not pointing at you personally so please stay around it would be sad to finish on a note like this

1 likeHey guys, been a long time since I've posted anything, sorry about that had a lot else on. But here are some pics from the 28th Feb and the 8th March, I'm gonna take some more tomorrow hopefully. Girls come off the Ace of Buds after 21 days, just been giving her water for the last 2 weeks due to a lil nute burn, still trying to decide whether to put her back on the power feed or to just go water for the last 4 weeks to help with the flush. Smell is starting to come on strong now, hazy mainly but you can smell the lemon as well.

About us
Strain Hunters is a series of documentaries aimed at informing the general public about the quest for the preservation of the cannabis plant in the form of particularly vulnerable landraces originating in the poorest areas of the planet.
Cannabis, one of the most ancient plants known to man, used in every civilisation all over the world for medicinal and recreational purposes, is facing a very real threat of extinction. One day these plants could be helpful in developing better medications for the sick and the suffering. We feel it is our duty to preserve as many cannabis landraces in our genetic database, and by breeding them into other well-studied medicinal strains for the sole purpose of scientific research.
