17 likesWhats up community Down here for a new season and journal So whats news: Iv upgraded the "tree house green house" since my last grow so now i have about triple the same to grow up there Although this greenhouse is a safe spot, i need more bud at the end of a long day - Time for some guerrilla mission - Shittttt i hope i don't get arrested :pogranichnik: :pogranichnik: !!! Iv been busy on a spot down the road in Forrest area where i will hopefully have about five large females. I found a new spot in an old house where i can plant about another five to ten females. AND then there is the tree house which can hold about four large plants or ten small. So that's the plan for the next coming weeks, a couple spots (diversification of investments ) not too far away, and then my secure tree for a assured harvest - all organic :) Everyone wish me luck, last time i guerrilla'd a motherfu*%# chased me through the bush :fie: As for this seasons seeds For the guerrilla spots: - cheese x local landrace (10): I got these seeds out some mega dank and cheesy bud. Its a cheese that's been crossed with one of our local landrace seeds. I'm hoping they will be very cheese like but still thrive in the outdoor climate. - Original Berry FEM(2):- Kannabia Seed company. I got this seeds free from a friend who originally bought them from a customs officer from the airport ! This is AFRICA - Crazy Miss Hyde FEM(1): - Samsara Seeds. Also from customs, came as a freebie - Other strains will be added to the gardens as they arrive For the tree house: - Original Berry FEM (3) - Sugar Mango Ryder Autoflowering FEM (1) - Kalashnikova Autoflowering FEM (10): Still to arrive from Greenhouse SO EXCITED FOR THESE ! So there's the plan and the strains that will keep me busy this summer time I'll fill you in on the soil mix, nutes and other details later in the journal I can feel it, this one is going to be good. Here's some pictures of the little babies, they are about a week and a bit old now Down below there is also a picture of 3 small plants that were indoor- I needed pollen and they all came out female Anyway This season is off to a good start Thanks for checking it out Outdoor all the way

8 likesargh hearing about this being only a 12 hour drive or so south of my home town really makes me wanna go and meet the crew!! I sure hope you guys will start shipping seeds to the US states that have it legalized soon.. I was shunned by the green house staff when I emailed them the day after the vote passed in my state of washington well over a year ago.... hope you guys change your policy soon! *dreaming of ordering your beans state side* Hope you all have a safe and amazing time in California!!

7 likesHi guys, Just incase I'm breaking any rules I'll just say now that I haven't grown for a good few months and this girl was one of my last. It's not a recent picture but I'm just dying to be a part of this again, lol If I'm disqualified for some reason it's cool It's another AK-47, lol, sorry This girl was a fast flowerer, had very fat calyxs within 8 weeks. I had pre-trimmed her before the chop and snapped her with my new camera Oh the memories

7 likesThanks man..moving them into new pots in the next couple of days I hope. I'm still waiting for more roots to show through the jiffy's, I think I've been babying them a little too much with water and making the roots growth slower. I'm going to try and stretch out watering them longer but I'm most worried about being gone too long and them drying out I was thinking about cutting the mesh around them and gently pulling off the peat around the roots to expose them to the new media them transplanting them but my gut is telling me this may result in disaster and to wait out the roots. Growth is good up top..too good lol..TW#2 wants to lean over and have a rest lol. The picture is playing a trick on you..you're eyes are still fine even after all those years staring at HID's lol. There are a few that aren't as bright, I'm told this is part of the design and has to do with frequencies of light if I remember right, and in the picture they look burnt. Ya man as soon as I see some more roots..I'm getting anxious over here too UPDATE..INFO (for those who like to read) & ADDED PICTURES JUST SCROLL DOWN and OVER PICTURES FOR NAMES Here's what's been happening over the past couple days for those who are interested. I've started to indicated my days with 2 days since the TW#1 was the only one up the first day 12/01/13 - Day 5-6 veg Tasks completed: - Watered at 12:30 pm - moved LED’s back to 30 cm – Being babies, I don’t want to overwhelm them with light intensity Environment & Measurements: Temp @ top of “canopy” light on: 25 °C Room temperature lights on: 22- 24°C Night temperature: 20 - 21 °C Room rH: 62 – 68 @ % Light height from tallest plant (T5): 12.5 cm Light height from tallest plant (LEDs): 30 cm Tallest Trainwreck height: 8.2 cm tall Tallest SLH is #1 height: 7.6 cm tall Summary & Observations: - I think I’m going to use the Enhance pine oil additive on all plants to protect against various fungi and disease. While I would like to keep the comparison as “pure” as possible and use as little additives as possible with the “only Powderfeed” plants, I don’t want to take the chance of my crop getting ruined by fungus and not finishing, and past experience has made me very wary and vigilant of fungus. It may possibly be the area I live in & the climate etc., I live in a newer house yet often find mold in window sills in winter months, and it is winter here now and very humid. - CHANGE OF PLANS: - Due to the mutant baby that is not looking like she will not grow out normal at all, (I was wrong, her first leaves are f’d too lol) there has been a change of plans that will actually make things much more simple. Trainwreck’s & SLH’s #1 will receive extra additives during vegetation & flowering as well as the GHSC™ Powderfeed while plants #2 & #3 from each strain will receive only Powderfeed (plus additives that I feel are necessary for my situation). Still the top 4 plants will move into 23 L pots and into the scrog tent with 1 from each strain just PF and 1 PF + extra additives. 13/01/13: Day 6 - 7 Tasks completed: - Mixed up some mild nutrients for the babies today using r/o + Cal-Mag Plus + Mothers PF with an EC goal of 0.7. While the mineral water has an EC of about 0.66, the minerals in it are not ideal for cannabis and it is time to switch them to a little bit of the “good stuff”. Nutrient mix: 1 L r/o water + Botanicare Cal-Mag Plus @ 0.50 mL/L GHSC Mother Plants Powderfeed @ 0.25 g/L EC: 0.80 Water temp: 20°C pH: 6.0 Summary & observations: - Rooting seems to have really slowed down. I’m thinking that with the heating mat and the pellets at about 25-26 degrees rooting took off but having to turn off the mat (no thermostat and temperature must be VERY closely monitored) has dropped soil temperatures. Not to a dangerous level but enough to really slow down rooting. Growth is good up top. I’m going to try and keep the room temperature up a bit so that temp @ pellet base is about 25-26 degrees, and make sure they dry out enough between waterings. I have had to water them early quite a few times because I was going to be out for the day, one of the disadvantages of using such small pellets. This may be making them a bit lazy w/a bit too much water and not encouraging root growth enough. 14/01/2013: Day 7-8 Summary & observations: - 12 pm: Babies seemed to have liked the 1st real food and are nice and green and growing their second set of leaves nicely. Unfortunately only a couple have multiple roots showing through, not enough that I want to risk transplanting yet. The past 2 days I’ve been able to let them dry out more to promote root growth. I’m hoping to transplant in the next couple of days. TW#2 is having a difficult time staying upright with her relatively large first leaves and I’m having to use the other plants for support at times or she leans right over. I may have to transplant her before the others. Also have been trying to keep room temp steady at 26 degrees lights on and 22 lights off to keep them nice and warm. Temperature had been bouncing up and down a little with lack of time to pay attention to it, nothing serious, just not as high as it could be to promote rooting. EDIT: 5 pm – While watering babies I noticed that, with the exception of TW#1, there are multiple roots starting to show out of the pellets! It seems they loved that I started them on Powderfeed and rewarded me with roots. I’m planning on transplanting them to the 3.5 liter containers on the 15th or 16th in the evening so they can rest and get used to their new environment. Here are the pictures, next pictures will be after transplanting on the 15th or 16th when they are in their new pots PEACE

6 likesEDIT - I apologize, I was in a hurry and made a mistake labeling pictures, I mistakenly named the two pictures of the plants still in the scrog as "Trainwreck before harvest"..but those two pics are actually the two Super Lemon Haze plants - BIG difference! I've renamed them, and I apologize to the person who made the 1 download of each pic before I made the fix. Ok ok enough talk, time for more pics I have lots to say (as usual lol) but not much time..but it has been too long between harvest pics, so here are some of both the trainwreck and the super lemon haze at harvest time..if you scroll over the pic you can see which strain it is I will have more explanations, more after trim bud pics, weights, and slow cooker cannabutter all coming asap. I will say that I weighed the TW#1 plant and completely dry and ready for long term cure she came in at 81 g's..not a huge plant for a scrog but I'm very happy with that since trainwreck is not a huge yielder. Smell she is very earthy with pine undertones and taste VERY lemon pine like with earthy undertones in the vaporizer, I have yet to smoke her. The effect is a bit of a creeper leading to a sudden mindf*ck..it then depends what time of day it is. Daytime = quite a while not getting anything too complex done, a bit lazy, and sitting around enjoying just about anything but having to worry about too much lol..music, tv, movies, PS3 games, drooling over bud porn all seem like great activities for a VERY decent amount of time (don't make serious plans soon!) Night = the same as day plus good night sleepyhead time after the initial burst of holy sh*t I'm high dies down a little and whatever you are doing gets too difficult as your eyelids get heavier. Pain relief = what damn pain?? lol..between the Trainwreck and the SLH I have been more pain free this past week than in a VERY long time...and that's with starting a job that requires some fairly physical labor sometimes..well for this outta shape old bastard anyways lol I have to say thank you GHSC sincerely for this, amazing strains like these help with pain making my days easier and more enjoyable for myself and for everyone around me that gets to deal with me in a MUCH better mood!! OK more weigh ins and dried bud porn to come soon after these last of the harvest pics Peace

4 likesHi friends, My experience with clay is not very wide, but for several years utilce clay crops. What I did was put in the tub all the clay with water and reduce the PH long, long. Leave a couple of days so. Clay ascended the ph very quickly, changing water, lower the ph again, watching the level during the two days to always be low. So GOT stabilize the pH of the clay, but the clay always slowly (almost invisible particles) that make up the ph always breaks down. But being submerged for two days with ph 3 people helped a lot to not raise the pH too much during cultivation. A good alternative to clay, is sustraro coconut, is also inert and very good. Regards!!

3 likessounds good to me, some fim @ 3rd internode. Fimming and topping can be done at any time after that whilst they are still in veg. Fimming doesn't slow the plant down as much as topping & will produce 4 colas/stems, where as topping will create 2 colas/stems. Sugested that you don't top and fim auto's as thier veg period is short between 3 weeks standard auto's and 5 weeks super auto's. Having said this I have scrogged auto's and whilst doing this I fimmed once and it was a nice out come. If memory serves me right it was at the 4th internode and the strain was Supercritical by GHS. Fim auto's at you own risk, get to know the strain and how it grows. If you want to experiment with fimming auto's , as I did, you will be do it under your own advisement. There are so many auto strain out there, with different grow patterns and heights,I just can't garuntee you'll have the success I did. The bigger your auto is supposed to grow , the more suited to fim it is. Tiny height (stealth auto's) should be left alone to just grow and not fimmed at all. Fimming and topping is really more suited to photoperiod plants, especially as you can veg them for long periods and initiate flowering when you are happy with the overall shape and size of you plant. Here is a fimming & topping tutorial - http://forums.strainhunters.com/topic/7974-fimming-topping-tutorial/ Peace and smokes Lams

3 likesSORRY SOMEHOW HIT SEND/ENTER WITHOUT THE PICS! HERE THEY ARE Hello friends, another couple days and lots of growth as well as a possible mutant in the bunch! Please feel free to comment or advise as I haven't yet had to make a decision on a plant like this and would enjoy the experience and advice of my fellow growers. Not that tossing a messed up seedling would be a big deal at this stage. I think I will give her till tomorrow anyways and see what more she does. So far she is growing..but you will notice her red stem..probably not photosynthesizing quite right with messed up leaves and not getting proper nutrition or something like that. BUT CHECK OUT HER ROOTS! CRAZY Hope everyone is having a wonderful night/day wherever you are! Enjoy the babies BTW - I know they are small and I'm throwing many updates..I definitely don't expect comments every update, but if you have advice or something to say it is more than welcome! And how about that giant field of Greenhouse genetics/plants in the latest videos!!! HOLY SH#T..AMAZING!~ 08/01/13 – Day 1 veg Tasks completed: - Watered each peat pellet evenly and thoroughly w/290 ppm mineral water pH @ 6.0 - Turned off heat mat - Turned on room heater Environment & measurements: Temp @ top of “canopy”: 25°C (measured w/ thermometer probe) Room temperature: 21°C Room rH @ 65 - 70% Light height from tallest plant: 7.5 cm 1st to sprout, Trainwreck#2 height: 6.25 cm tall (+ 1.75 cm in 24 hrs) SLH’s height (all same height) = 3.8 cm tall Summary: - Trainwreck#3’s first true leaves were still not opening and the stem was reddish telling me she probably wasn’t getting proper nutrients because of this. With the idea that if they don’t open the baby will probably not survive I first attempted to coax them open carefully with clean fingers but it didn’t work. Next I used a box cutter blade dipped in 99% isopropyl alcohol and carefully inserted the blade between the leaves and pried/sliced them open. She doesn’t look bad, but also doesn’t look that amazing either. I will give her a few days to see what happens and then if she doesn’t show good growth I may germinate another Trainwreck to replace her. 09/01/13 - Day 2 veg Tasks completed: - Set-up small oscillating fan to give the girls a little breeze to promote air circulation & get them dancing to promote strong stems. - Lowered T5 light 1 cm Environment & Measurements: Temp @ top of “canopy” light on: 25°C Room temperature lights on: 23 - 24 °C Night temperature: 20 - 21°C Room rH @ 65 - 70% Light height from tallest plant: 6 cm Tallest Trainwreck is #2 height: 7cm tall (+ 0.5 cm in 24 hrs) Tallest SLH is #1 height: 5.4 cm tall (+ 1.6 cm in 24 hrs) Summary: - OTHER THAN TW#3 EVERYTHING IS GOING WELL & even she is growing J I’m starting to think that TW#3 is a mutant and that is why her leaves were so funny and she continues to look strange BUT has grown a bunch of really nice white fuzzy roots out of the bottom of her already! More than any other plant..very interesting and I’m not sure what to do yet. I will give her another day and see what happens as she is definitely photosynthesizing despite her mutated leaves & she is growing in height as well. Maybe she will grow out of it maybe not. I would be happy to hear any opinions if anyone would like to share them J - Purchased today: - Finally purchased a Hanna EC meter! - 4 L pots for transplant from Jiffy’s - 6 inch inductor inline fan (rated 250 cfm but I'm skeptical of numbers but don't need a big intake fan) for tent intake w/hose to extend into & draw are from cooler adjacent room – an upgrade from passive intake - Large size CO2 generating pads for tent

2 likesdid you soak you clay balls before and wash them completely? usually it is the reaosn of lfuctuation in PH with clayballs, beside this it should not affect too much the mixture, or at least i haven't heard any particular report about this yet Have a good day mam

2 likesI watched a very good talk on AACT and they went into the role of molasses on the microbial life and they explained that if too much is added the microbes go into hyperdrive and can't support themselves anymore and die of which would cause a lot of hassles in the organic soil. Cheers Reaf

2 likes***** !! UPDATE !! ****** 50 minutes left in the day and I am gonna get my weekly update up on time . Ok so quite a bit happening since last update..mainly the 4 new LEDs..I will let the journal and pictures do the talking this time..seriously..I'm gonna shut up this time..no long intro.. Without any further nonsense..here are my journal entries and pictures PLEASE SCROLL DOWN FOR PICTURES..they are labelled/named if you scroll over them Have a great weekend everyone and keep it green and stinky! PEACE 09/02/13: Day 17 Vegetation (31 days since sprout) Tasks completed: - Did some more LST on the lateral branches – growth 24 hours after installation of HPS seems very good - Installed new CO2 pad Observations: - My fellow SH brothers recommend raising the pH to 6.0 to help combat the yellowing of the TW leaves and I will do this next water. No more new yellowing seems to have appeared it is just past damage expanding with the leaf tissue as it gets bigger I believe. Looking back it does seem that TW#1 which was watered separately as an additive plant received the lowest pH, while TW#2, which had a little of the same yellowing was watered at a bit higher pH. 10/02/13: 6 days since transplant Tasks completed: - Completed more LST of branches - Lowered the 600W to 40 – 45 cm - Turned heater back on to get the temperature up a degree or two to take advantage of the CO2 pads. Touching the leaves they feel very cool..much cooler than the air and they should be fine. Environment: Room temp @ canopy = 27 – 28 °C Room temp @ ground level = 26° C rH = 53 – 58% Observations: - Some really good new growth last night with the tied down branch tips all turning up towards the lights and showing good new growth past the bends. 11/02/13: Day 19 Vegetation (33 days since sprout) Tasks completed: - Watered TW#1 & #2 with 6 L each r/o + Botanicare Cal Mag Plus (required w/ r/o water) @ 1.5 mL/L x 10 L = 15 mL EC: 0.61 DNF Enhance pine oil (protects against fungi/pathogens) @ 1 mL/L x 10 L = 10 mL EC: 0.05 Advanced Nutrients B-52 @ 0.5 mL/L x 10 L = 5 mL EC: 0.09 GHSC Mother’s Powderfeed @ 0.6 g/L x 10 L = 6 g EC: 1.04 Total EC: 1.79 pH: 6.0 Temperature: 19°C Run-off amount approx. 4 – 5 L or 30 - 40% ** A little too much run-off - Watered SLH#1 & #2 with 5 L each Botanicare Cal Mag Plus (required w/ r/o water) @ 1.25 mL/L x 10 L = 12.5 mL EC: 0.58 DNF Enhance pine oil (protects against fungi/pathogens) @ 1 mL/L x 10 L = 10 mL EC: 0.05 Advanced Nutrients B-52 @ 0.4 mL/L x 10 L = 4 mL EC: 0.07 GHSC Mother’s Powderfeed @ 0.5 g/L x 10 L = 5 g EC: 0.90 Total EC: 1.60 pH: 6.0 Temperature: 19°C - Accidentally topped SLH#2 at the 4th internode clean off when training. Was pretty upset with myself since I don’t want to slow the SLH’s and end up with them further behind the TW’s, and it’s not the first time I’ve done this. But, it will also be interesting to see how well and quickly she responds to the topping, and I will try and look at it as an experiment. Besides, I can’t exactly glue it back on In the end, the TW’s may take up more space on the screen than the SLH’s and I will know in the future that the two of them aren’t necessarily the best 2 strains to scrog together. 12/02/13 Tasks: - Topped the 2 TW’s (on purpose this time) one at 5th internode and other at 7th. The main-stems were really taking off and I wanted to slow down vertical growth and let them fill out more to let the SLH’s catch up. 13/02/13: Week 3 Vegetation complete (35 days since sprout) - Got 3 new LEDS (exchanged 2 with faulty diodes) – New version of model is AMAZING!! Wish I had a PAR meter – added to wish list! 14/02/13 Tasks: - Exchanged last (4th) led for new one, now have 4 brand new version Glow Panel 45’s! - Did major LST to the plants (twice during lights on) 15/02/13: 37 days since sprout Tasks: - LST becoming a daily (sometimes 2 x per day) task. I enjoy the time with them so I don’t mind and the results are very noticeable. - SLH’s could wait one more day for water + feed but they are looking really green and lush, borderline overfeed so I’m going to give them a good watering with a low EC. It seems true to the haze family the SLH’s are nute sensitive. I thought I was ok with EC of 1.6 but I will have to be even more conservative. - Turned oscillating fan up to high speed to keep them cool and dancing. - Added new CO2 producing pad Watered TW#1 & #2 with 6 L each r/o + Botanicare Cal Mag Plus (required w/ r/o water) @ 1.25 mL/L x 12 L = 15 mL EC: 0.58 DNF Green (3-2-0) @ 2 mL/L x 12 L = 24 mL EC: 0.07 Advanced Nutrients B-52 @ 0.75 mL/L x 12 L = 9 mL EC: 0.13 GHSC Mother’s Powderfeed @ 0.6 g/L x 12 L = 7.2 g EC: 1.01 Potassium Silicate @ 0.10 mL/L = 1.2 mL EC: 0.07 Total EC: 1.86 pH: 5.9 Temperature: 19°C ** Run-off was about 20-25% Watered SLH #1 & #2 with 5 L each r/o + Botanicare Cal Mag Plus (required w/ r/o water) @ 1.5 mL/L x 10 L = 15 mL EC: 0.67 GHSC Mother’s Powderfeed @ 0.25 g/L x 10 L = 2.5 g EC: 0.41 Potassium Silicate @ 0.10 mL/L = 1 mL EC: 0.07 Total EC: 1.15 pH: 5.9 Temperature: 19°C Environment: 600W HPS Height: 45-50 cm’s (could get it closer but I want the internode distance to lengthen a little) LED light height: 40 cm (again could be closer but they are getting tons of light and I don’t want them too short) Temperature @ canopy- lights on: 26-27 °C rH: 60-65% Observations: - The plants seem to love the new LED’s as much as I do and have responded with excellent growth - The Trainwrecks still have some yellowing on the leaf fringes, much of it is older now and the new growth seems to be better. I added some Dutch Nutrient Formula (DNF) Green (3-2-0) to the TW nutes today to hopefully help a little. Growth does not seem to be suffering despite this, and they have giant main-stems. - The topping of the plants and the removal of a decent amount of leaves seems to have only affected them positively as well. - LST is going well, and the positive results are very noticeable. Opening them up has allowed the bud sites to get more light exposure and they are forming and branching all along the exposed branches - Time to get the screen in there ASAP – hope to have it in by tomorrow!

1 like20€ less then my 3570k. amd bulldozers are not very expensive, it just has an enormous amount of horsepower. this helps put data from a to b. amd seperate into many threads wich is the best way if you want to render a movie, second screen chat, third screen tv. but for this high quality 3dfx and shader tasks all the horsepower and threads dont help alot, because intel rushes the big data over the huge bridge they put in. amd might write its a 8 core cpu but its a quadcore with 8 threads. it produce almost the same benchmarks in 3d as a intel i5 wich is 4 core this here has on paper double power to my i5, but no grafic solution. a muscle car that can tow a truck, but not even a single mph faster then the race car with the good aerodynamic. http://shop.amd.com/us/All/Detail/Processor/FD8350FRHKBOX#Details

1 likehi man, well to start i think for me 1,6 is a little strong for the plant at this age. I also asked you on your grow journal do you spray your girls during light cycle it could cause some dots like this everywhere? Good luck man

About us
Strain Hunters is a series of documentaries aimed at informing the general public about the quest for the preservation of the cannabis plant in the form of particularly vulnerable landraces originating in the poorest areas of the planet.
Cannabis, one of the most ancient plants known to man, used in every civilisation all over the world for medicinal and recreational purposes, is facing a very real threat of extinction. One day these plants could be helpful in developing better medications for the sick and the suffering. We feel it is our duty to preserve as many cannabis landraces in our genetic database, and by breeding them into other well-studied medicinal strains for the sole purpose of scientific research.
