    i enter my Super lemon haze bud i harvested 26 days ago. i really love this strain it gets me very high and gives good positive vibes while still letting my brain function and stay in focus, fits for any time of day year-round. i grew it in dwc hydro with AN 3part nutrients, bigbud powder, overdrive and a bit of worm casting extract for the protection.

    would like to enter with this indoor bud of seet mango automatic. the wholw plant was about 100gr, really impressive. flavour and hit of a true feminized strain deliver this automatic strain. i am growin her again, this time, but outdoor. enjoy resized 2x. somebody with camera experience should overthink the pic size quality simply suffers from resizing. original

    I bought a microscope and after looking at a few articles on the net I checked my own, now I really have no idea about this, from what I'd read they looked the right colour. Mostly cloudy with a few clear and a few amber, I checked some other nice bud I got and it looks nothing like any pictures I've seen of trichomes. Anyway to get to the point I cut the plants and they're drying as I write this, forgive me if I've done it too early I may just be impatient but I have also heard that there is like a 7 day "peak" period to harvest and I didn't want to miss it! I love the smart pots! i am using 45 gallon not 65 gallon, transplanting was going good till i ran out of money...of my 12 legal plants 8 of the kaya gold will veg outside for 30 or 40 days than i will move indoors to 2 x 1k HID w/ red/blu led @ 12 hours...i need some bud! The outside girls are going to be monsters.....by the time they are super cropped and spoiled rotten during the summer, they should reach 10-12 feet in height...maybe more.. I know this is going to sound like a dumb thing to do but, I will be opening this grow up to the public here in pahrump...i have already invited the local under sheriff....he declined.. i bet they never send swat to my legal grow again...fuckers..lol Thanks GHS for making me strive for more out of myself and the best out of my cannabis.

    Aloha Jimmy, Here is Hawaiian Heirloom Cannabis indica Kilauea series does the bud have to be removed from the plant? I have a large bud + the plant & 10 liter nursery container. This plant had no vegetative growth as it was grown during our short season. The bottle is 1.5 liters & the nutrients used was JR Peters 5-12-26 + Calcium Nitrate and a little bit of Potassium Silicate for disease control.

    But then you should NOT feed seedlings at all, they got everything they needed genetically within themselves for the first 10 to 14 days, after that you can start with lower doses, till ready to flowering cycle then full 1 g / 10 litres - Last 2 weeks leave them and best do not over feed or over water, then you get the best taste - delicious !

    I agree now, after testing with much more expensive products and the same strains: Powdeer feeding gives better buds and more yield than many other brands I know. But: I would not use it from the very beginning or you have to be very careful becaus ethe high amount of magnesium is too much for starting plants. But for later veg and flowerrting it is excellent. That is all I can say because we have tested it really.

    Hello everyone, sorry it's been a little while. Both my plants are looking good. What was the smaller of the two for the majority of their life is now nearly a foot taller than the other! I have given them a flush of 25L (25L tubs) and according to the information from GHSC they should be ready to harvest in 10-14 days. I have read that it's a good idea to flush once more on the third to last day, is this correct? Anyway some pics (the first two are 3 days later than the rest - after the flush);

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y63oysds5s8 this is now. all them plants were grown first on my roof top from seeds around the end of december. i was hopin for a summer harvest, so all dem plants were on my roof coz thats the place dat gets the sun durin the winter. as u can see the garden in my house is a backyard garden, so my garden gets sunlight only 5-6 months a year.

    Hi everyone been a little while since i uploaded anything. I got the 600W hps in the wardrobe now along with the intake and extraction fans I also lined the inside with mylar which is awesome. Im having some difficulty keeping the humidity up, also my temperature is rising higher than i would like (30-35 sometimes), i thought installing the fans would solve this problem but i guess i was wrong, any suggestions? Despite that, my plants seem to be coming along just fine, the one that i allowed to grow vertically is now surely 1metre tall from the floor and the other one that i tied down has just turned into a bush!

    Ok so i tied the tops of the plants down to make a sideways S shape, all the nodes are getting light now and the top one has already grown vertically again (its only been one day). Also a few more pics of the very top one

    Hello again, next update with some images. So i was chatting to a few people and they suggested i lift my lights so the plant stretches (however, i had heard this was bad and that you should keep CFL's very close), i was asking in the first place because the bigger plant now has lots and lots of leaves but its still only a few inches tall and has a very thick sturdy stem. Needless to say i took the advice and lifted the lights, the seeds were both dropped in water on the 23/02/14 so its nearly been a month and i was told thats when an autoflower would begin flowering, it seems way to small for that to happen... I also added 2 extra CFL's an 18w 6.4 and a 23w 2.7. Any advice from this point will be gratefully received, i also wouldnt mind some advice about topping, are the plants at that stage? Thanks!

    Some more pics, the big one is going crazy and the small one is definitely getting bigger too. I'm so happy, its gonna be so satisfying to smoke my own home grown! anyway...

    Next update; the bigger of the two plants is going great it just seems to get bigger by the day, i first thought when i transplanted into the big pot that id damaged the roots but its still growing just fine! If you look carefully you can see loads of smaller leaves on the underneath! The smaller of the two plants is also growing ok but it just seems a bit of a weak one, considering they were both germinated at the same time the big one is easily twice the size and the leaves are no way near as symmetrical, could there be any reason for this? or do you just get weaker seeds sometimes? Finally im unsure on this topic, i havent really watered them since repotting excluding once when i gave them both about 300ml each of plain water, you can see from the picture the colour of the coco, the top layer is light and dry but underneath (probably 10mm down) its still relatively damp and dark. Any opinions here i would be grateful for thanks! Now for the images!

    Here's a pic of my latest bit of homemade lighting hehe. It currently has 1x18W and 1x40W 6.4k bulbs and 1x23w 2.7k bulbs (it had another 18w and 23w respectively, but it got way too hot in there as i haven't got any proper venting gear yet). I think they're pretty sweet, i made another one with 4 holders but i dont think ill be needing that till the later stages so i loaned it to friend! Also off topic- and apologies if i shouldnt be posting in this area im not sure where it should have gone, but i had to show someone, its by far the best blueberry ive smoked!

    hallo, i started this topic somewhere else on the forum. but found out myself were it was supposted to go. i'm a 36 year old hobbygrower from Zaandam. in march i started my grow. i started with 1 nycd, 1 ls af, 1 ah, 1 jh and 1 purple ?. the nycd, jh and purple ? are bag seeds. none of the jack herer seeds popped. 3 of the purple ? popped, but 2 died. and the nycd is now my biggest plant. the ls af and the ah were fimmed by my cat, but survived. and are doing well. the sm af i got recently as test seeds for the forum. when i reseved them i immeditely started germinating 1. that was on 17-05-2014. as soon as the roottip is long enough, i will put it in a peetpot filled with sowing & cloning soil. and when it shows it's head above ground i will start posting pictures. i will also post pictures of what i'm using to grow my plants. if you can't wait to see the pictures. i all ready have a report going on another forum. sm af not included yet. but i will not post the website untill the moderators of this forum tell me it's allright. that's it for now. greetings, smokesalot

    Hi bro, Yes, it is valid only 600x400 or 400x600px image. Only those formats. This is so, so that all photos have the same opportunities. A very small picture is never as pretty as a picture medium or large. You can use Photoshop, gimp or even paint, to crop or resize photos. If you have a small picture size, if size large to extra large, you get distorted picture. Is that your problem? I can help you with your photo? prefer maybe send it to me by email and see if we can resize without deformation. Greetings!

    I agree with Bam-Bhole if you use pk-13/14 and boost (canna most often unless you live near me) no Powder feed is needed it is depending on the stage. In late flowering your plants don't really need N anymore. PH levels are as Bam-Bhole said are very important as being ventilation and low HM levels last stage! Powder feeding is better to suplement with what Bam-Bhole said I personally use AN bud blaster only 2nd week of flowering as an additive with PF and last 2 or 3 weeks depending on strain. The difference of using additives next to PF and not using them though are very limited!!!

    So my plants are both coming along nice, lots of little white hairs and flowers After tying the top down all the smaller nodes have risen up so i have something of a canopy now. Will be making adjustments to the space soon and ive worked out exactly how im going to fit my fans and ducting etc (i just need to buy them now!). Ive included pictures of the top node from each plant, please tell me what you think. Ps. All of my photos are gettin turned horizontally... ive tried uploading the same pic rotated 90 degrees each way and its been the same each time. Also it wont let me upload any photos to my gallery so im a bit confused :S Sorry!

    Hello again, next update with some pics. I repotted them again into 20L round tubs this time, the roots had gone all the way to the bottom of the 11L tubs, it was almost like a spider web! I wanted to take pics but i was scared to damage it. The smaller of the two i also repotted but i think i may have damaged a few roots, the main mass of roots is still there do you think it will live? (i will include a pic of the small one later). I also gave them canna A+B 2ml/ltr and they seemed to boom which was sweet, its been about 5/6 weeks since i first started so i thought i would be seeing some flowers by now- any suggestions for this strain? I will be installing my 600w hps in the next week or 2 i just need to get some proper venting in there with a filter cause its just way too hot in there otherwise >35 degrees! One final thing im a bit concerned about are these yellowish spots on the leaves and some slightly frayed edges on some leaves, i dont think theyre particularly important leaves cause most are close to the bottom but im worried. Is my plant diseased? Please give me your opinions! thanks! pics now;

About us

Strain Hunters is a series of documentaries aimed at informing the general public about the quest for the preservation of the cannabis plant in the form of particularly vulnerable landraces originating in the poorest areas of the planet.

Cannabis, one of the most ancient plants known to man, used in every civilisation all over the world for medicinal and recreational purposes, is facing a very real threat of extinction. One day these plants could be helpful in developing better medications for the sick and the suffering. We feel it is our duty to preserve as many cannabis landraces in our genetic database, and by breeding them into other well-studied medicinal strains for the sole purpose of scientific research.
