Hi Guy's Well lets start out by saying better late than never lol. My seeds got caught up in the African post offices as usual and GH was kind enough to try another twice for me to send them, they came in a awesome birthday card and the freaky thing is i literally got them on my birthday when i went to check post for other hopeful birthday wish cards.. I did not start the journal earlier because i knew i would not make the cut off date but just wanted to do my duty and post them up anyway's. Because of that i did not document much like time ect or did not even Ph much until i saw she needed it close to when she started to sex. My water used to be perfect and never had to ph but seems it now drifted up and sits round 8. So did the usual ph with the recommended limits. I have been feeding her some old bio grow and bloom. Literally the bottles are four years old. Did not have a chance to do her in my usual dwc as i could not set up my tent ect because of family visits this year so i used some soil that they use on the farm i stay for tobacco seeds. Seems to have worked perfectly. I am usually better with documenting but i was late with the journal so i was like Meh.... I topped and fimmed the shit out of her so keep her low because i had to be discreet and wanted to force her to flower quicker to make the journal cut off time but alas. I must have fimmed her about 4 times and topped all the side branches about twice. So she is super low but nice and bushy like the 70's. Responds very well to training and a very hardy plant "like i said i did not do to much" but she responds well to anything. I must say she does have huge trichomes and loads of them so i cant wait to smoke her. Will be finishing up in a few weeks aswell with a smoke report to. 1. The awesome birthday card they sent 2. The usual way i germinate. In water for 24 hours then straight into a pot covered in cling film until she sprouts. 4. Just her as a little seedling 5. Just a few of her in her veg stage at various stages of bondage and super cropping. I had to take a pic of this guy, just chilling next to her on another plant 6. Just a few of her starting to sex and then into flower 7. Showing here how i tied her down 8. She is starting to flower now nicely 9. Some nice bondage shots again showing how i supercopped ect... 10. Just some last flowering pics i took this morning , not long to go now. 11. These next three were taken with my phone. The trichomes are so big you don't even need a scope. Just a zoom with the phone cam is perfect. They looking mostly cloudy and a few brown and clear. Sooooo excited to smoke her lol. So i will take some more pics in a week or two for her final flush and them some bud porn and a smoke test. Been a pleasure to grow , super easy so anyone can do it. Hardy and my goodness does she smell so lovely. Cant put my finger on the smell yet but will smoke her with a few friends and get closer to the exact flavor from a few opinions for ya all. Moppy :-)

I was going to suggest some form of manure. Guano from bats can be a bit "hot" (strong). For that matter, the excrement from nearly any animal (except regular soil-worms) is too strong to add directly to your soil for immediate use. Worm-castings are one of the absolute best amendments to any soil, and they can be used immediately without further processing or waiting. I would suggest your collecting various forms of manure, mixing them well into a composter with your vegetable-based scraps from the kitchen and table as well as yard-waste (leaves and grass-clippings), and allowing the worms to work on it for a year or so. I know that doesnt help in the immediate term, but once the composter is started, you will then have a never-ending supply of compost and worm castings. Sources of manure? Horse, cow, virtually any grazing animal. (Not the manure from any animal that eats flesh: cats, dogs, pigs, people, etc.) Manure from grazing animals is "hot" when fresh, but normally if it is allowed to dry-out completely in the sun, it can be sparingly mixed into soil for immediate use. I would still recommend storing the soil/manure mixture moist and covered for about a week or two. It is even better if during those couple weeks a gray mold forms over the surface of the soil. (edit: Sometimes if you're lucky, you get white or yellow lanes of mold, then wait for the pin-tops... Guano from bats, chickens, pigeons, seabird colonies(fish-eaters) can also be used, but they are very hot if fresh. These sources need to be processed through a composter, or need to sit a good bit longer in mixed soil before they can be used for potted plants. I have seen a video somewhere where there are pigeon-raisers who use the droppings from their pigeon houses for the garden. They mixed the collected droppings first into containers of their soil and sand and store it for a period of time. Some of this sand/guano mixture is later tilled into the soil before planting. And then some of the sand/guano mixture is broadcast onto the soil surface during the bloom and fruiting time. Personally, I had used a trailer-load of chicken droppings to till directly into my garden about 30 years ago. I learned that year how "hot" it could be. I planted a couple weeks after the tilling, but virtually nothing could survive the extreme nutrients. However, the following year was a bumper crop of vegetables. I had simply used too much and I had not allowed time for it to "cool".

About us

Strain Hunters is a series of documentaries aimed at informing the general public about the quest for the preservation of the cannabis plant in the form of particularly vulnerable landraces originating in the poorest areas of the planet.

Cannabis, one of the most ancient plants known to man, used in every civilisation all over the world for medicinal and recreational purposes, is facing a very real threat of extinction. One day these plants could be helpful in developing better medications for the sick and the suffering. We feel it is our duty to preserve as many cannabis landraces in our genetic database, and by breeding them into other well-studied medicinal strains for the sole purpose of scientific research.
