Hi, With the onset of winter, and the low temperature, I am happy to start a new indoor crop, a winter crop. My intention is to make a 100% Natural culture, 100% BIO. So .... What better occasion to try the BIO nutrients from Green House Feeding? In this crop I will use the new BIO nutrients from Green House Feeding (coming soon). It will be great to evaluate results personally. If you want to see how they work, or have any questions, maybe I can help solve it This time I decided to use cuttings, instead of seeds. My intention is to grow a lot, before beginning the flowering. Maybe three or four weeks under 400w / 600w metal halide. Then, maybe the flowering will begin on the middle of January (if all goes well). It is an indoor of 1.2m2 With light 250w / 400w / 600w and 600w SL Extraction and intraction system of air Substrate: soil - Normal soil / A little coconut fiber Nutrients: Green House BIO Feeding Containers: Smart Pot 12 Liters / 3 Gallons Ok, it's the first time thats I use Smart Pot containers, so you should have patience haha First of all, I want to put a little armalite / arlite (volcanic rock) on the bottom. This is to improve drainage, just put it a little. Actually, how is the first time thats I use this type of container .... I want to see the difference, So I add a classic container 12 liter / 3 gallon. I put some earth, about halfway. And then I add some Green House Feeding BIO GROW. According to the indications, 3gr / liter of BIO GROW should be used, for a standard culture of one month and a half, or two months of duration. I start with cuttings, so the growth period is only a few weeks or a month. I Use only half of the recommended dose, use 1.5 gr / liter. Once I added BIO GROW, I put more soil and put it all together. Be careful not to move the volcanic rock from the bottom. I try to make a good mix. Also I add a big handful of coconut fiber to each pot. I like to mix it up, to make it a little more fluffy, and keep the moisture better. Now only the transplant is left. This part is boring and dirty, you have to be careful with the delicate roots of the cuttings. When the transplant is finished, I water the pots with water. Only water with PH set to 6.2 (about 1 liter per pot). Once finished, I like to add a bit of volcanic rock / arlite, on top. In this way I can retain moisture better, the soil does not dry out easily. At the moment, I will use 400w. only. In a few days, maybe 600w. The volcanic rock / arlite, has a horrible ph. You have to soak for several days, with a regulated pH (a bit acid). So that they stabilize. Always, before use. For now .... this is it

Hello All... Great to be here, been looking at others grows and think that Strain Hunters "Green House Seeds" is a great place. I really like that even without a membership I was able to view all photos, unlike some other sites. Plus I am currently growing Money Maker and really loving it. Great little plant with tons of glittery resin exploding all over the place. One thing I kinda noticed is that my Money Maker plants are a lot more indica looking than most I have seen here. Not sure if its just another pheno or if that is the way its supposed to look!? You will see many photos in the near future. I live in Canada and I'm crossing my fingers that this new Prime Minister will keep his promise to get things legalized!!! Anyhow great to be here and happy growing yall!

Hello to all my friends, thank you all for positive vibes. The plants have now resumed their normal growth. Currently the temperature of the room is around 24/25 ° and humidity around the 60/70%. For this time I water with ec 0.8 and ph 5.8. I decided to select six plants to continue the growth journal, initially wanted to put 9, but 2 of them are too far behind the other, so also reasons of space I carry only six. Under some pictures, taken this morning. Stay tuned friends, see you at the next update. Peace.

So it was time to change the pot size - all 4 were properly rootd and sit in bigger shoes just fine - Also starting to flower them - 4000 watt HPS for 12 hours. Used PLAGRON Light Mix this time.. 3 in square pots, the one with the fastest growth is in a Root Pouch.. Pictures show them before transplanting first, then the actual growth ... Very happy with the development. All 4 were properly rooted and look healthy. Was time to put them into flower since the 1st of this month.

My first attempt at a journal. I'm not sure what the name of the strain I have is. Hopefully this journal can shed some light on the subject. I'm a little late to start my grow this year but this won't really matter a whole lot as they don't grow big anyway. The seeds where germinated on a plate covered with damp tissue paper then placed in pots. I'm using a premium quality potting mix to start them off. The photo is of the first one to emerge on day 5. I'll update as more break thru. Also I have added an old photo of what this strain came from 15 years ago. Poor quality I know but what can expect from an old polariods. Roo78

Hi, On this occasion I want to show the grow room of a good friend, whom we will call "Mr.K". He is a modest and reserved person, so then, I will publish his photos and data. Mr.K is a good grower, you will can see him soon :). He use nutrients Powder feeding by Green House feeding. Substrate: Soil Flowerpots: 50 Pot capacity: 7 Liters Medium: Cuttings Variety: Super Critical Light: 4 HPS The vegetative period started on November 7, two weeks are applied for root and plant development. During these weeks, water is applied with the PH regulated to 5.8 and Powder Feeding: Mother Plants The cuttings improve in a few days, they look vigorous and strong. I can see how the roots begin to colonize, little by little. Good nutrition is key, to get quality and fast results. The nutrients must be very assimilable, in this way, the plant can develop quickly. The intention is to make a medium-sized SOG, so do not give too much height to the plants. On November 21, the flowering begins. The light cycle is changed (time) and start watering with Powder Feeding : Short Flowering (orange package). The temperature is 29 ° with light, and 19 ° without light. It is perfect for plants that hate heat jaja This last photo is from December 3rd. In short time, the beautiful part will begins with buds and resin. In short, more photos. Regards

I don't wanna comment and say anyone's OG is better than someone else's OG There are infinite numbers, most of them rip-offs of the original Having said that, although I'm not talking a straight OG, I had good luck recently with an OG x Chem #4. It's called Em-Dog. It's available from Humboldt Seed Organisation. Part of the B-Real stuff of theirs. It contains one OG-dominant pheno that is very tall and lanky, strong fuel, pine and earth scent. Strong as hell. Very reminiscent of everything you would look for in an OG to me Here's a pic for you so yeah this was from hot summer run, so I reckon she would be even more dense if you kept temps in perfect order but yeah very flavourful and strong as oxes; I kept a cut of this one there are other phenos too obviously; I would think this one comes up pretty often though in a five pack, in a ten pack you probably get her for sure guaranteed every single time but that's as close to 'original' OG as I have ever found in my garden; however I am not an OG maniac, but have grown various Kush crosses, some based on OG stock, apparently at least good hunting

Hi Guys!i just have a pic of the girls from 24/11 about the Mad Rocket, Are in theory, to make aerial pruning to the roots and to foment the internal development of the roots, they come of 3.75lts as those of the photos, 10 lts, 16 lts and 25 lts. The problem they have is to have those cuts on the sides, every time I water the plants the water runs through the cracks and I have to collect the water and re-water.

Here on a side note I am starting my veggie garden, it's more an experiment at this stage as I never thought of doing one. Again the growing location is not the best as it have a poor sunlight exposure but I'll try my best anyway. Initial raised bed: I decided to go super cheap on this one. All the material used is salvaged aside from one Bamboo 6m length I purchase for one of the raised bed (1.5$) the rest was left over stuff and my miraculous compost soil I made. I have right now two raised bed of about 1.5m long each on 60cm width on 50cm in height, filled up with freshly made compost. The starting idea was to grow some tomato plants to see what kind of harvest I could expect and it turned out a week later I end up with two raised bed and a DIY pot to plant the different variety I have in mind lol. Anyway so i have on the go at the moment 12 tomato seedlings Chilli seeds showed first root today so that should come out in the coming days I covered with a thin layer of soil. Sweet pepper (green colour)I have garlic potato, I bought 1kg of small size potato and decided to plant them the lazy method way which consist of burying the potato 3/4 in the soil and cover with 2cm of hay. They should roots and sprout through the hay without problem as it is strong enough to go through. Let's see if this method work out in South East Asia and if it work I am curious how many KG will I harvest from that initial 1st KG purchased. I build up a sort of trellis to support beans and I am on the look for seeds on the market, not as easy as you think lol. I am looking for carrot seeds, salad seeds. So let's see how this project develop from here. I have the intention to have a vegetable grow operation in the Philippines within a couple of years so let's see how the premise start. Again it's a no budget project as I am avoiding by all means spending a penny on it, water is supplied by a well So water cost 0, next... ? I will have to spend a little bit on seeds and Epsom salt if I find that, other then that. No money involved. cheers.

So I decided to share my other passion with you all. I am an amateur video editor, graphic artist, and admin of my own site that has most of my art work and video's on it. Feel free to check it out. I think most of you will find it interesting content. curtainofnight.com Here is my latest video, It's a mash up of Second City Televisions and World of Warcraft. These plants will look really beautiful. Although I agree that they seem unproductive, maybe the system used, or simply the genetics itself. We will review all the tests and also assess the quality. Some strains like Flower Bomb Kush, are also not very productive ... but it does not matter, because they are incredibly delicious lol You already know the tricks, a SOG with indices in the best way to get great productions in the interior. It is even preferable to avoid branched plants and use only plants with good central bud (Pure Kush for example). Sea like the sea, your plants look great. Sure in a few days, those buds fatten a little more (they will not be big, that's obvious, but something more if). I also practical LST, for me it's the best Regards!

Yeah, that looks awesome and Hunbold Seeds are from the Emerald Triangle, where the experts created an x-amount of great OG varieties, not to forget the OG-ALFI as in PINK GOO. Definitely worth paying the extra Euros for these genetics. Most are in fact based on the CHEMDAWG. I found that to be awesome. Greenhouse CHEMDOG, Royal Queen's KALI DOG and now I am trying out Barney's FARM and their TOP DAWG, which starts very promising. Barney's also offers a bunch of nice KUSHEs - The PVanilla Kush is really creamy and tasty ! New is the BAD AZZ KUSH. Grown by BAD AZZ a Rapper from LA, guy well affiliated with Snoop's DOGG POUND . The OG KUSH from Royal Queens looks great as well. Fat yellow-green colas sprinkled with crystals. Got some of these beans for further try outs..

Well, Not yet able to tell. They just start to give some nice aroma and 3 out of 4 are at least decent, one is definitely not satisfying in terms of height, flowering and won't give more than 10 grams or so. One is really nice and overall that strain ain't bad I guess. Of course the SLEX was a lot more productive and for whatever reasons I need Sativa to come to results, that do more than simply cover the costs. This ain't the fault of the genetics just a bad timing, Usually I got 3 or 4 plants per month and now the tent is full with 10 plants and it doesn't seem to bring much more than 100 grams and it took/takes 3 month plus to reap them.I need stronger genetics, less plants, longer vegged and topped to make up for this.. But thanks to Barney's I already got a very nice BLUE CHEESE and 3 TOP DAWGS vegged for more than a month and topped , that I put in flower this week, so one by one I can make up for this disappointing grow . I still got 6 beans left of the Test seeds, so depending on the effect I will grow these later and hopefully get bigger and better results. Anyway. they are healthy and the buds are nice round with an enticing aroma. Look and judge yourself.. First I show 3 on the left hand side, one is in the middle. I changed that and showed 2 more closely, the middle one alone and finally the most disapointing with a different bud shape-not round - small straight sized..If it doesn't get a punch in the remaining time that will probably give lessthan 10 grams...sigh.. What I do like is the amount of fluffy round buds around the middle of the plants-pictures don't really show that. 3 have that unique round bud structure I really like, one is looking more like the Blueberry Chesecake's I also grow - only the aroma tells me what is what. Overall they are pretty uniform, one is light green, most have a darker green look. If you grow these make sure you veg them really long and do some LST-not sure about topping - just letting them grow is not enough to get fat results. For whatever reasons I have too many low yields with Indicas - Probably a SOG might be a great way to grow this strain...

I used to build RC controlled airplanes from scratch. Here is a link to one of the model I use to fly. https://youtu.be/kwQJATwBiyk The plane were build out of Deprom foam 5mm thickness, the parts were cut out and hot glued together. The electronics was Velcro on or in the fuselage. I really enjoyed it but I haven't done any in a long time now. I have better video or plane I have made than this one, maybe if I find them I'll pass the link if anyone's interested lol.

Thanks brothers - I knew before that my way of growing is not very productive but due to a) great genetics I get top quality results and usually I was steadily filling up the tent with as many plants as possible. That made Scrogs and SOG a no no. This time it was different cause I only had left 6 beans - 2 Lemon Kush + 2 Blueberry Cheesecake from female seeds left over and 2 DAMNESIA. So I started these after the last decent yield. I would have ordered new seeds long time already but was waiting for the test seeds. So I had 6 young plants in Veg/early flower until I finally got the Test seeds and so I added another 4 of these. Problem number one - The very productive Lemon Kush is the worst genetic I ever grew, Leaves all over buds hidden beneath, not sticky, hardly any aroma- I made oil from it last time and they do not look promising again shortly before harvest in a week or two-so that is a big disappointment-Their Automatic KUSH was excellent and gave me up to 40 grams. No idea why the fem KUSH is such a slouch ! The Blueberry Cheesecake smells exactly like the cake and is top notch weed BUT not productive. The Test seeds are better yielders. The Amnesia takes forever and is not of the same quality it once was imo. The Test seeds back in the days were too great and a pack of 10 I grew 2 years ago was also more sticky with longer fatter colas but I guess I will have to wait 111 weeks at least- There is some juice and aroma nowafter 40 days in flower. The Super Bud&Trainwreck seems to shift gears after the last feeding. Who knows how they all look around christmas time or around new year. I started to top and Vegged the next bunch really good-more than1 month under 400 MH now first week under HPS. It also seems to me that the Reflektor I got in the tent with the prism acting like a cool tube allows plants to grow very close towards the light is not ideal for Indicas, I get stronger and bigger plants with a regular reflektor, The room is much hotter and the distance from top to lamb is at least 30 cm furtther away forcing the plants to grow taller...

So today was the time to redo my raised bed before root system get too comfy. I removed everything I had in the potatoes raised bed and covered the wire mesh with carton from the inside and replaced everything back. Easy job, just needed to be done sooner then later. Which gave me the opportunity to re arrange my garden. on top right in green I have ladie's fingers. in purple the potatoes. in blue de garlic. in pink the Chillis. in Yellow the sweet peppers. I have created a support for my future cherry tomatoes. stage one the anchor. stage 2 the main line. Stage 3 the supports. And a little update on my potatoes. I know it may sound goofey to be excited for growing potatoes lol but i am actually. Till next update.

Seed stock of unknown origin. Just a mixed bag from early on in my life when I was living with a alternative lifestyle family. I knew the plant I have now was in there it was just a case of culling out hundreds of seedlings to keep just a few. No you are not mistaken it does have triple cotylins and it is a common sight with this plant. I spent quite a few years only growing out that specific trait. The double still remains tho. If you haven't seen it before I'm a little shocked, I've had it for a while now and didn't give it much thought. Thinking if I have it then others have to. It's a little bit exciting thinking it could be something different. Looking forward to further discussions. I tried to get a better photo but my phone just won't focus any closer. I'll update as it grows. Roo78

Thanks buddy, well it is the problem a bit, I anticipated that and it is coming out a bit, this is why I dressed my last pot with a carton which will contain everything and by the time the carton decomposed well the plants roots system will be there to hold everything together. I am thinking doing Cob raised bed, should work well, providing I have good drainage holes to allow the soil to drain properly. As I said it's my very first veggies garden I made and we will see how it goes. As for now I have regular tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, garlic, chillis, potatoes, sweet peppers, pumpkin, ladies fingers on the go, I am still waiting on my beans. Its exciting, I bought 1 kg of small sized potatoe, out of which 3 sprouted the rest rot and I am really curious to see how many kg of potatoes I will harvest from this 3 initial potatoes!

I found DNA / Grow Your Own to be a good source for the real OG originators. Make sure the swedbank is from Cali or got direct links to breeders on the coast hence OG stands for Ocean Grown. One example is the Florida Gold, which is in fact the first real OG named strain - but it is from Florida. When the real run on theOG Kush started it was by breeders from the Emerald Triangle in Northern California who developed the OG KUSH from a Chemdawg - they added both Pakistani and Thai genetics to the 91 Chemdawg. Then it was further developed and stabilized outdoors not far from the Pacific Ocean, hence the title Ocean Grown = OG. Best check out the DNA website/seedbank and you find a lot of details on their strains like the famous Skywalker Kush, which I grew and found out to be the bestKUSH I had bred so far. Taken a real old original Ingemmar White Widow mother clone and crossed it with the Skywalker Kush. The breeder tried to get more weight on the first OG Kush out there and once he had managed that he created 3 new genetics with it-a)Skywalker OG Kush, White Walker (the one with the White Widow) and finally the Lemon Walker by crossing the Skywalker Kush with an original Lemon Skunk fromLas Vegas. Also interesting the ALFIE etc. Another good source are the Cali Connection with genetics mainly from the Lake Tahoe. Not cheap but worth the extra bucks you pay hence the are not only top genetics with a killer effect but they usually produce up to 50% more than a good variety, let alone those who sell the so called OG's at low prices delivering weed, that is not on the same level or only a fraction of what DNA delivers... Get the originals and see how others compare ...

Zeq, look at some of the Distributor-Seedbanks' lists of sources. Normally, listed-sources with a long history of being on the lists, and winners at cups, have earned those positions with their trustworthiness and stable behaviour. If any seed-source develops a history of outright-cheating or low quality or bad product, one can expect a Distributor-Seedbank would eventually remove them from their offerings to avoid the complications that come with negative notariety. Here's a link to begin that kind of research. https://www.google.de/?gws_rd=ssl#q=distributor+seedbanks Here is another link containing a long list of threads right here in this forum where seedbanks are discussed: http://forums.strainhunters.com/search/?type=all&q=seedbanks

I have some, It's very interesting stuff. It probably would work for a silica. Farmers often mix this with their live stock feed as it aids animals in digestion. Gardeners mix it with soil as a natural insecticide. When looked at under a microscope it has very jagged edges and razor sharp end. When insects walk across it they cut themselves up and die from desiccation. If you use it make sure you get the food grade quality, it's totally safe for humans. I think you can be as liberal with it as you like as a additive. It shouldn't harm the ladies.

About us

Strain Hunters is a series of documentaries aimed at informing the general public about the quest for the preservation of the cannabis plant in the form of particularly vulnerable landraces originating in the poorest areas of the planet.

Cannabis, one of the most ancient plants known to man, used in every civilisation all over the world for medicinal and recreational purposes, is facing a very real threat of extinction. One day these plants could be helpful in developing better medications for the sick and the suffering. We feel it is our duty to preserve as many cannabis landraces in our genetic database, and by breeding them into other well-studied medicinal strains for the sole purpose of scientific research.
