3 likesI will keep this pretty simple at first. I started my seeds in a bowl of RO water for the first 12 hours, I folded 2 full paper towels together twice, then poured my contents of the bowl onto the towel and did a tri-fold to close them in. After 3 day from seed I had 18-25mm roots. I put them into peat pellets that soaked in RO water, and placed them in a domed tray for another day and a half untill they sprouted and shed there seed shells. I put them into their spots the next day. I have posted 1 picture of the seedlings from each strain I will get more detailed with each plant as this progresses.

2 likesThis is a journal for 3 separate strains that I started at the same time. This is as stated my first journal and I should include my first crop in 20 yrs. I took a break for awhile but decided to start growing again. Times have changed and its much easier to do now. The strains this journal will be focused on will be BC God Bud regular, Coma Kush Elite Strain Feminized, and Quarter Pounder auto/fem. They will be Indexed as such BC God Bud - BCGB-1 , BCGB-2 (2 plants) Coma Kush Elite Strain Feminized - CK-1 , CK-2 , CK-3 (3 plants) Quarter Pounder Auto/Fem - QP-1 I thought I would give you a run down of the room I am growing in. I consider it an ever changing thing, always trying to improve it. I currently have 4 DWC tanks with 2 slots each in them. Each chained together with downhill flow to the reservoir. My nutrient delivery line runs through my return line which is twice the size. The delivery line splits inside the tanks, comes out the top of the lid, reduces and splits again to each plant. Feeding is on a timer to feed 5 different times a day for 1/2 an hour at each interval. I have 2 air stones in the reservoir and 1 stone in each of the four tanks. There is 1 pump delivering nutrients to the plants and I have an additional pump to keep a turbulent circulation in the reservoir. You will see a few older plants in the set up they will not be included in the journal. the 2 larger ones I posted pictures of in the "other picture and video" section if you would like to see them closer. I'll post pictures of the strains in this journal after the room pictures.

1 likeGreetings fellow Growers, my name is Dr. M. For now, I am not a real doctor, but aspiring. I began marijuana use around the age of 11 till the age of 18. I took a 15-year hiatus for service in the US Armed Forces. I'm now retired at the ripe old age of 32 and starting my next endeavor. Watching Strain Hunters documentaries have filled in a lot of the voids over the last 15 years for me. I chose to go to college and I'm now Horticulture major. It's going to be a pleasure to get to know you all. Sometime soon I will post pics of my very first setup in over a decade. My quest is simple, to systemically replace Big-Pharma medications in the US with cannabis equivalents. It's a quest but I am sure I will arrive at a suitable medical replacement for my daughter's ADHD medication. That's the motive behind why I drop seeds. Look forward to where this adventure takes me, and any assistance or advice along the way would be greatly appreciated and welcomed.

1 likehello all, pithias here, new to forum, not so new to cannabis. I was directed to introduce myself before doing anything else so here I be. Really not much for a lot of communication as I'm a two fingered hunt and peck typist, and naturally of few words. Heres hoping that the foregoing qualifies; and therefor suffices as an introduction.

1 likeHello BlackMagic, The only way you could turn an Auto into a Photoperiod, in order to stop or delete a trait of Autoflowering, would be to cross it, with a Non-Auto... Then you would have roughfly 50% Auto, 50% Non Auto as a result with the new seeds.

1 likeThe end of prohibition is inevitable and the process will definitely be painful as we move into this new space. I agree with you Croc some of the prices per gramme I have heard about are just crazy, we need realistic prices like when I was a youth in the late 70's paying £8 for a quarter of Moroccan, the cheapest I paid for a quarter of Moroccan was £6.25 which was definitely affordable and more realistic in relation to production costs. The idea that the amount of THC etc can be regulated demonstrates how ignorant these Babylonians are to suggest this bullshit, this is because they believe the propaganda about super strong skunk, that the weed available is super strong compared with the 70's, this is bullshit, I have not smoked any commercially grown weed recently that was stronger than any of the charas or temple ball I smoked back in the late 70's and early 80's aint no maybe! As people who say that legalisation will lead to greater use amongst kids need to open their eyes, kids today already have access to herb, because the people selling it don't give a shit who they sell to, when I got into herb it was different you had to be introduced this would only happen if you were trustworthy and discreet, they were different times. The problem for Babylon is that they have a long way to climb down, after telling lies to the public that herb had no medicinal value and it was the scourge of humanity, it aint going to be easy, plus there are a lot of people with vested interests who want to protect revenue streams this includes industry and the black market dealers. In the UK Sativex can be prescribed by doctors, yet the UK government still says officially that Cannabis has no medicinal value, no many Dr's are prescribing it because it is so expensive, despite the government providing GW Pharmaceuticals with a license to grow and research Cannabis for medicinal use they did not license them to create a medicinal product they could take to market, their license was updated in 2015 to include creating a product and taking it to market. At least now that the medicinal use of Cannabis is legal in so many states in the US and many countries and following and allowing medicinal use it is only a matter of time before it happens everywhere, but it will be a painful and slow process, Babylon knows their dumb arsed war on drugs cannot be won, they have lost every battle and many who worked in law enforcement etc have now realised prohibition causes more problems than it solves and they are campaigning for legalisation. 1 likeThanks Cannabissapean, the feed line through the return line I learned way back when i first started to grow. At that time, there were no black feed lines only black return lines. so your feed lines were clear and bad for building up algae. We decided to feed them through the system to stop the algae growth. It also served to keep things neat and tidy as well as reduce any feed line leaks you may encounter, it would just leak back into the drain flow. The strains did come from a Canadian source. True North Seed Bank is a multi seed vendor seed bank. its where I plan on getting my GHS SSH and SLH cause I might have problems getting directly from GHS. They give free seeds with every purchase. The quarter pounder was one of the free seed I got, but I will say the seeds I paid for had 100% germination while the free seeds only had a nominal germination rate.

About us
Strain Hunters is a series of documentaries aimed at informing the general public about the quest for the preservation of the cannabis plant in the form of particularly vulnerable landraces originating in the poorest areas of the planet.
Cannabis, one of the most ancient plants known to man, used in every civilisation all over the world for medicinal and recreational purposes, is facing a very real threat of extinction. One day these plants could be helpful in developing better medications for the sick and the suffering. We feel it is our duty to preserve as many cannabis landraces in our genetic database, and by breeding them into other well-studied medicinal strains for the sole purpose of scientific research.
