Aloha Lams, Do you use leds for propagation lighting when doing your cuttings? Here in Hawaii the cost for electricity is the highest in the USA and I was thinking about reducing cost and better light balance.

Aloha dust, Excellent points my friend. I tend to look at a hydro system or a soilless substrate like an aquarium with small tender fish that do not like radical changes in pH or EC. I root cuttings at EC .6-.8. They take 6 days to root and then the feed is increased to 1.0 EC for two days, 1.2 for two days and more can be added up to 1.8 depending on the growth stage and the strain.

Aloha , With the high NH4 % with the Powderfeeding formulas the plants will start to have a larger effect on root zone pH in a downward direction. Hydro Korrels are like Rockwool flock at the start pH going through the roof.

Aloha, Here in Hawai'i taste is everything and one of the best is Dutch Treat. Strong growth, good production, and a taste that brings you back for more.

Aloha, Put a garbage bag over the lid & inset into the root zone area, then trim to size. Bag it and no gasket will be required.

About us
Strain Hunters is a series of documentaries aimed at informing the general public about the quest for the preservation of the cannabis plant in the form of particularly vulnerable landraces originating in the poorest areas of the planet.
Cannabis, one of the most ancient plants known to man, used in every civilisation all over the world for medicinal and recreational purposes, is facing a very real threat of extinction. One day these plants could be helpful in developing better medications for the sick and the suffering. We feel it is our duty to preserve as many cannabis landraces in our genetic database, and by breeding them into other well-studied medicinal strains for the sole purpose of scientific research.
