DKH, I am definitely interested in that technology. I would like to get in touch with your US distributor if I can. I know a lot of growers that would also be interested. Do you have a unit that can handle 100 gallons or more?

DKH, Are you saying that the Tersano -Lotus -High Capacity Unit would help eliminate any root rot issues without H2O2 or use together with H2O2? If you have a web site that I could see the filter that would be sweet.

Great info on fogging, I have been very interested in this for a while now. It seems like a very undeveloped area of hydroponics. Do you have problems with the transducer using up all of the water so fast that after a couple hours it stops producing fog? I have a couple that I use during halloween to make stuff for my kids and I found that to be an issue for me. I also noticed in the video posted that the fog remained low in the bucket unless the grower waved his hand in the bucket. Would and air hose from a pump without an air stone help move the fog around and solve the issue? Also I use cool mist humidifiers in my grow rooms to keep extra heat down. I know a lot of you may not be in the states but a pharmacy store called Walgreens has a humidifier that would fit into a 3 or 5 gallon bucket that might solve both of these issues. It works by screwing a nozzel onto any water bottle and placing it upside down into the humidifier. The water slowly trickles out as needed so that the transducer has a perfect supply of water. I use a one liter aquafina water bottle and that gives me 12 hours of fog. Click on the link to view the humidifier http://www.walgreens.com/store/c/walgreens-compact-personal-ultrasonic-humidifier/ID=prod6040512-product I hope this is helpful:)

I have some experience with areoponic setups, mostly for cloning though. I find that they work to best to grow seriously dense root mass that are usually bright white to almost clear. I am not in favor of using this type of set up for veg to flower because the spray nozzels usually clog up and loose effectiveness after a few weeks. Cleaning them can be a pain in the neck. I religiously clean my cloner setups every time a new batch of clones is ready to go. Recircluating DWC is my system of choice, you can see my post in the hydroponics forum with some pics of my system. Don't be intimidated by hydroponics, the first cycle will be your hardest but if you look at every day you will be able to tell exactly what your system needs. If you use a system with a resevoire I feel like the maintanence is must less than with soil. I hope this was helpful.

Does anyone have expereince with recirculating deep water culture? I currently run a 20 site setup that combines water flow, dwc and a resevoire to keep the maintainance more managable. My water pump is a 1250 gph sump pump that runs water through a 1/4 hp water chiller to keep 69 degree water. The plant sites sit about 2 feet bove the pump/res so that gravity can take care of the water return. In each site is an air stone as well as in the res to keep maximum O2 in the water. The system runs 24/7 to stimulate the roots and keep the water and nutes fresh. I have to use H2O2 on a regular basis so that root rot doesn't take hold and destroy the plant. If anyone has a better way to fight off root rot other than H2O2 I am open to all options? Any questions, comment or advise are welcome, please enjoy the pics!

Greeting all! I am a medical card carrier that has been growing in the dark for a few years. I am looking forward to being in the open and furthering my knowledge base. I was referred to the site by another member and so far so good. I have never posted to any forum before let alone a maraijuana site so I am looking forward to it. Everyone have a great day!
About us
Strain Hunters is a series of documentaries aimed at informing the general public about the quest for the preservation of the cannabis plant in the form of particularly vulnerable landraces originating in the poorest areas of the planet.
Cannabis, one of the most ancient plants known to man, used in every civilisation all over the world for medicinal and recreational purposes, is facing a very real threat of extinction. One day these plants could be helpful in developing better medications for the sick and the suffering. We feel it is our duty to preserve as many cannabis landraces in our genetic database, and by breeding them into other well-studied medicinal strains for the sole purpose of scientific research.
