  1. I like to harvest early because I rather have a more cerebral-psychodelic trip than a heavy stoned...je so I was planing to cut 5th of March max, all though if there is the risk of fungi I'll cut them earlier. I have a good microscope and the trichomes arn't yet amber. What do you sugest? Would you like me to upload more pics of the buds? I can do that tomorrow after the office... BR,
  2. Fungus???? Please NO! Ive been spraying them the last two days with an organic nutrient mix high in (P). Im not sure if the buds are so happy about that. The little hairs (pistils?) that were white and fresh have become brown. All thought the yellowish color of the leafs has improved and the are recovering the healthy green look, all though the leafs that had the brown spots remain that way. The buds dont seem to have fungi. Please Firefigther can you tell me more about how to fight the fungi? Tokage, I think that the (P) deficiency really had something to do with de yellowish color and brown spots. Besides the organic nutrients Im spraying the canopy, I placed in the soil a big amount of an algae fertilicer which is rich in (P) and has many other properties. Since Im so close to harvesting I think Ill stop messing with them and only wait to see if the buds become any biger and fatter. Any advise? Should I carbload them?
  3. Im attaching more pics of my indoor Bubba Kush SCROG. I havnt found in stores (p) only. Is there anything organic that I can spray. The buds have one or two more weeks and I dont want to use chemicals. I ve thought taht the plant is putting to much effort in building its buds specially since the SCROG implies a heavyer yield, so that could be the reason that it lacks (P), because its the first time this happens to me. It is also the first time I do SCROG... Thank you
  4. Thank you very much dear friend! Lack of (P) might be the problem, I will buy some in a plant store.
  5. Dear Friends, I am experimenting a strange situation with my SCOG indoor plants. They are flowering pretty nicely. The buds are thick and dense at its 5th week of flowering. It's been perhaps the best of my crops, nevertheless in these last week something strange is happening in the middle of the screen, the leafs are turning yellow and dying. In other ocations this has happened before but what worries me is that the leafs have some dark brown stains in the middle, as if they were rotting. It is definitely not a case of fungi, because I control humidity with two fans. I don’t think it might be nutrient burns because I’m using organic feeding. The variables that have changed in the room is the temperature dropping by 7-9 degrees Celsius. Before my room was at an average of 30° and now its 21°. The area where the yellowish with brown spots is appearing is precisely at the center of the screen where the light hits more directly. They are not burned, all thought I gave more distance from the light to the screen, about 50cm. I’m attaching four photos so you can give me advise. These are my last 2 seeds I bought in GHS in Amsterdam, and most probably I wont be traveling to Europe from Quito, Ecuador, in a long time, so I can't aford to loose this almost ready harvest! Please, dear friends in the comunity, help. !!!
  6. Hey, Bighairy, its a good idea to put CFL's in the bottom, thank you. I see that your leafs are a little burned. Maybe you are using too much fertilizer.
  7. Here are some pics of today. The Bubba Kush has iniciated to bloom yet buds are nothing significant. The Super Silver Haze looks better, buds are getting a better size. This is the 5th week of flowering.
  8. Hey Tokage, thanks for your answer. Yes, the plants are flowering, I reduced the light to 12h cycle and changed the bulb to a HPS 400w, the 1st of July. A month have passed and I see an insignifican bud development, that is why I was worried that the leafs are taking away all the energy instead of conducting it to the buds... Tomorrow I will make more pictures of the small buds.
  9. Many thanks half mod half lion, your answers are always wise and illuminate the growers path!
  10. Finally the pics in the proper way!

  14. Dear Friends, the following is my Bubba Kush from Green House Seeds Co. I planted them 15th of April. This is an indoor grow, currently Im using a 400w HPS. The leafs are huge! I am worried they do not allow much light to pass through, becasue they are too thick. I eliminated some leafs due to that reason. The stem and branches are growing dense and compact, maybe becase only a little light passes throug. What do you think? I cant upload pics directly in this forum, I have to do ir through this link: http://www.strainhunters.com/forums/gallery/image/9258-jurassic-leafs/ http://www.strainhunters.com/forums/gallery/image/9259-huge-leafs/ Thanks
  15. Dear friends, I am growing indoors, with enriched soil, 2 Super Lemon Haze, 2 Arjan’s Strawberry Haze, 2 Bubba Kush. At the current time, they are in flowering stage with a 400w Sodium Lamp. My plants grew too big, the Arjan’s are touching the roof, therefore I decided to take one out. I live in the Equator so the sun is pretty abundant and straight. I am trying to determine wich of my 2 Arjan’s Strawberry Hazes (ASH) will develop better buds, the indoor or the outdoor. In a previous ocation, (this is my second time growing) the buds I harvested were airy and fluffy, not like the dense packed buds that I used to bought on my visits to Amsterdam. Here you can’t get good weed so that is why I bought my seeds from Green House Seeds Co. and invested in some indoors equipment to produce nice looking and potent buds for my friends and me. As suggested by previous forum discussions I am adding sugare cane solved in water, (Carbload) besides the weekly dosage of flowering fertilizer. What else can I do? Which buds do you think will be best, the ones with the Equator sunlight or my 400w sodium? Thanks!

About us

Strain Hunters is a series of documentaries aimed at informing the general public about the quest for the preservation of the cannabis plant in the form of particularly vulnerable landraces originating in the poorest areas of the planet.

Cannabis, one of the most ancient plants known to man, used in every civilisation all over the world for medicinal and recreational purposes, is facing a very real threat of extinction. One day these plants could be helpful in developing better medications for the sick and the suffering. We feel it is our duty to preserve as many cannabis landraces in our genetic database, and by breeding them into other well-studied medicinal strains for the sole purpose of scientific research.
