  1. Looking at those exposed backs of the lighting fixtures brings one word to mind: ELECTROCUTION! If your personal safety is not your priority then at least think about neighbors because this bold setup of yours is also a serious fire hazard. It's one thing to be cheap and another to be sloppy, so use some insulating tape on those things.
  2. Ehh GO AWAY, TROLL! (and stop trying to phish my email...one PM was enough)
  3. This user is a fake. In my original post I made it very clear that convictions for personal use don't register into criminal records. Besides, noone in Greece uses "miles". ) I'd say he is either a cop or/and dealer making an awkward attempt to save his mafioso bussiness model, by trolling a cannabis-liberation forum with a stupid little "Montechristo biohazard" story as his first ever post. stupidguy's stupid.
  4. Can't believe it's been already 3 days and none of you guys has posted this:
  5. tip for succesful posting YT URL's: use only the full editor
  6. The money you are refering to is hardly a secret, 20 years of the internet being around MUST have been of SOME help towards that end. Still, people seem content with having their lives screwed so that the OBVIOUS oligopoly continues.
  7. I guess you're right. I mean, why should anyone expect anything better from the birthplace of democracy? Viva la mafia throwing the underdogs the occasional boney!
  8. Then I failed to communicate the backward essence of this piece of legalistic trash. I don't know about you, but I don't trust a regime, that has established its stranglehold on society through maltreatment of drug users, to give up its money-making industry of cannabis-related busts all that easily. Extrortion-driven raids from the executive branch and arbitrary judgement on which cases will be determined "for personal use" from the judicial, are going to be the order of the day. Technically you can still get life imprisonment for growing recreational cannabis, if the state-run mafia wants it.
  9. Previous drug law (3459/2006) stipulated 10 years imprisonment at minimum (and up to life for repeat offenses) for growing (including hemp). No distinction on personal use was made at all.
  10. Pertaining to cannabis, here's in brief the sorry excuse for a "progressive" narcotics law reformation that the domestic Troika concocted: - "up to" 5 months imprisonment for growing for personal use - bunch of vaguely defined (and impossible to scientifically quantify) criteria for the court to determine the personal nature of the use - vaguely defined discretionary power for a court to assess the offense as "circumstantial" and "unlikely" to be repeated, and thus spare the perpetrator from the penalty - any such penalty does not register in a person's criminal record - it's 8 years to life though, should the regime wish to turn you into a scapegoat, for some reason (and, trust me, there ARE plenty of those currently in Greece - especially political ones) (link to the official text in greek: http://www.et.gr/ido...spVR1UrURETkoE.) ========= Regimes still need their "leveraging" mechanisms in place, to bend the will of the occasional "thorn on their side" that threatens their dominance of the recreational drug trade. Noting some particular key words of the latest bill makes me sad, realising how much political clout the ultra-far-right societal backwash, that constitutes the electoral base of the ruling parties, still wield: "narcotics" - ALL substances are lumped together. The total disregard, for the large corpus of pharmacological and biochemical scientific knowledge on recreational chemical substances, is staggering. "perpetrator" - Now, who's been a naughty, naughty little boy, "perpetrating"...stuff in the closet, hmm? 8-D "life sentence" - Oh, the hypocricy of people patronising the masses by pretending that they are saving them from themselves!
  11. Lower powered lighting causing taller growth doesn't seem to match my experience where the younger plant seems to have stopped at 90centimeters of height while I struggled to keep the other one below 120cm? The different phenotypes I have described in this journal seemed to have different rates of gaining height from the seedling stage, when they shared the same light equally. About the HPS, just a reminder: Bankrupt countries tend to be inhabited by people who are broke. In other words: I hardly have a choice on this matter anymore, I have to make do with what I got. The good thing is I don't really need anymore. What do you mean "too much", I thought taking away excessive anxiety is a good thing in life. Anyways, I'm waiting to read your sampling report after your own harvest.
  12. I thought about extending it to an 11th week but opted not to do that, due to a number of reasons: - the need to compensate for the newer plant's light deprivation to this point. Poor thing has even stopped growing upwards since last week. - the burned leaves didn't bode well for the outcome of an extra week, in fact the leaves were continuing to turn brown - I run out of weed ages ago and at this stage I was too into the "grow your own" groove to allow myself to buy anymore...I think it wouldn't be dignified
  13. Day 100 (70 of flowering): HARVEST TIME! I know for some of you people this is a tiny yield (not THAT tiny, "flowers to the people" LOL with your 100-fold hyperbole) but it has fully met my expectations and considering the many setbacks of this grow I think I should be thankful the Runt's made it to harvest point at all. Unfortunately the flower aroma was marred by the guano but at least a last week flush gotten rid most of the bad scent, so I will cure them slowly now and let time do the rest. I was going to post this update last night but, of all times, the batteries in my camera run out just as I was going to take the last shot with the trimmed product. In today's shot the buds have already withered substancially but still this is a 40cm pan and in it there's several months worth of smoking stuff for me. Preliminary consumption has confirmed the kind of effect I was aiming at; very heady and good for getting into the mental state of discovering new aspects of my intelectual pursuits. Other effects I've noticed is that, provided you have a positive attitude in life, it can be anxiolytic too (a VERY EARLY taste DID give me a mini panic attack, probably due to different cannabinoid profile, nothing a regiment of alcohol from a beer didn't fix), good for laughs without getting TOO giggly. There's one last thing I've noticed it cuts hunger! To me this has been usefull because I needed to shed some fat but I understand there are people who would need some appetite-stimulating strain. So with this in mind plus the fact I did it all within a reasonable cost AND I gained very usefull knowledge about cannabis cultivation along the process I can say I'm a rather satisfied newbie grower.
  14. Let's hope the unfortunate plant doesn't go meet the baby one you lost among the seedlings. The grow looks to be doing well. Why did you choose a 12/12 schedule from vegetation for these plants?
  15. Let's not blow the tax revenue aspect of cannabis legalisation out of proportion. Certainly cannabis introduction to the economy is going to be beneficial but it will not kill the euro crisis which has systemic roots that go far, FAR deeper than mere fiscal imbalances of "profligate" states. Besides, from a strictly entrepreneurial perspective, it's bad to invite the state to tax your future business. Be careful what you ask for people, or else you might end up paying 1000% markups for your cannabis in the future.

About us

Strain Hunters is a series of documentaries aimed at informing the general public about the quest for the preservation of the cannabis plant in the form of particularly vulnerable landraces originating in the poorest areas of the planet.

Cannabis, one of the most ancient plants known to man, used in every civilisation all over the world for medicinal and recreational purposes, is facing a very real threat of extinction. One day these plants could be helpful in developing better medications for the sick and the suffering. We feel it is our duty to preserve as many cannabis landraces in our genetic database, and by breeding them into other well-studied medicinal strains for the sole purpose of scientific research.
