  1. Hey Tokage! Yes! The middle photo may not make it although it is looking a bit better. I will update soon. I will be running metal halide and Veg food for 10 days then convert to HPS 600W with Bloom formula. Afer 4 weeks I will start adding Bloom superboost for 2 weeks, then start my flush.
  2. your right krakoshia, they def do not like that heat. As well as stunting them Too much heat you invite colonies of bugs to stand a lot better chance at multiplying beyond your control. I think you may be going through a lot of ice. Do you have a hole at the top of your room to allow that heat to escape? or does it get that hot with the door open? I have a little room for my moms. Its enclosed and only 3x3x6. I am running a little 175W hps in it and it was getting too hot as well. I cut holes in the bottom and layed some lay flat on the inside of the hole to prevent light from coming in and out but the air could still come in without the flap sealing. I then made a small hole in the top and put 2 feet of 4" exhaust tubing through it. I have a fan blowing at the light and forcing the heat off the plants. Above the light, I have a fan pointed directly strait up at the hole. The heat that comes out warms my bathroom and keeps the plants at a good temp. Best of luck
  3. Its now Feb 15th. I took a couple of photos of the doc babies and have transferred the non trileaf to a larger pot now. I would have done the trileaf as well but it appears I have ran out of soil for the moment >.< The photo isnt clear enough but the trileaf is showing signs of patches of discoloration. The other one is looking great. I will however continue to keep the trileaf going. For now....... The last pic is their current home between an assortment of ladies currently in veg under 600W Metal Halide. The light is approx 2.5 feet above them and temp is fine.
  4. Now that is one big helping of eye candy right there. Hope you don't mind if I use that for my background Cheers to a great job!
  5. Dont be confused however my friend if the leaves start drooping during veg cycle after 15-16 hours of the lights on. Its nothing to be alarmed about. Wait until 2 hours after the lights come on the next day to make your diagnosis.
  6. If I could recommend 1 thing for you friend to lower your heat big time and then be able to lower your light is this. Your enclosed light is creating a lot of heat. If it were me. I would cut one 4" hole on one side and one 3" hole on the other. Attach an inline small muffin fan to the outside of the 4" hole and run an exhaust out the room. It would allow you to drop your light a few feet. Thats me though. Good luck and welcome !
  7. Looks Good! I hope you have a lot better luck with trainwreck than I did. Mine were good until about 3 inches in hieght, small shot of starter fert keeled em all. The sharks exploded after it but the wreck, got wrecked. I still have 1 seed that I may start shortly. It looks as though your off to a great start tho. Lil suckers already look strong and thick.
  8. Looking good! Can't wait to see how those lil babies turn out. You do too good of a job your gonna make me want to switch back to water cultures Update soon!
  9. The last photo is the current doctor mom but is now just going to be flowered off. There was an issue with the cuttings in that when they came to flower, male pollen flowers were all over the lower branches. This one will be flowered off outside the room carefully to make way for the new seeds.
  10. The trileaf is a doctor but we'll see how she does as she grows up a bit.
  11. Allright Then. I got the pics on the PC so I'll do a full update. Intake-4 inch inline plasti-fan (works great) - Value $129 Exhaust-4 inch inline plasti-fan(works great) - Value $129 Stinky - Free (value $160) Rotating fan for air movement - $40 Room = apprx 4x7x7, designed with 2x2's and lines with Layflat. Support bracket is 2x4 - Approx value $80 Light = currently 1 600W metal halide during veg, adding 2nd light later on Value $420 Food = DNF veg + Peroxide (no additives yet due to funds) - Value $24 PH = veg - 5.8 6.2 Value - $10 EC= 600-700 Soil = Pro Mix HP Value - $30 Love= talking to the girls- Value pricele$$ Total Investment - Approx $865 + tax Damn that adds up fast..... Once I switch the light to 12's to flower the room, the babies will be moved into something I havnt really figured out yet The pics are from current to what they are now. They have some heavy competition to go against but I like what I see already with the previous seed. The current mom of the doctor will be being flowered out shortly due to too many male pollen sacks on it. it will be closely monitored and flowered outside the main grow area. The 2 seeds were soaked in strait water over 24 hours but were cracked in less than 18 hours and removed. Once they cracked, they werre placed in a wet medium of pro mix HP and put under a 175 watt hps light. Once they popped out of the soil they went under 300 watt metal halide for a day. the light got boosted to 450 watt 2 days later, then raised to 600w withjion the next 2 days. The reason for this was to allow the clones I had under them to adapt as well. Currently the plants are in almost 2 weeks of new life. They are healthy but 1 looks to be a mutant but thats no reason to end its life yet. We'll see what happens. As you can see from image 16, they have a bit of competition #19 , seems to be a bit of a mutant , we'll see if its the ugly duckling The last image is the origonal doctor that is being replaced with this new trial batch
  12. @ Dust Yes, just strait amber (Honey) oil was applied to the cancerous region. The oil itself however was not made with ISO-Propyl or butane. The alcohol had to be ordered in and I'm not 100% sure but pretty sure it was ethyl / ethanol alcohol (grain) in its strongest form (95%) that was used.
  13. The following are images that were taken by a friend of mine. The skin cancer was diagnosed after 3 different doctors advised her it was just a skin rash. After visiting a dermotologist, he took one look and advised it was skin cancer. Pretty sad that it took that many diagnosis in itself. She was given a prescription of Chemo-Cream and advised to use it. As you can see, the chemo cream didnt help. The wound started to be more irritating, expanded and got pussier. (more infected looking). After being shown what the cannabis could do, she attempted it. She is not a smoker / user but was willing to try it at this point. A donation of product was given and from it, her medical Amber Oil was produced. As you can see, it speaks for itself. After 3 weeks, the supply was exhausted and now waiting on more just a bit more to continue treatment.
  14. Thx all ! I'll have updates shortly. I have been taking pics with my old celly but dont have the usb. Once I round one up or find it, I'll update pics and info. Up to date. I have soaked the seeds in strait water and after 18 hours the 2 of them split open. I put them strit into the cups under the lights. Prior to putting the seeds into the cups, I filled them with Promix HP (High Porosity) and dampened the soil. After placing the seeds into their new homes, I gave a light drink of strait water still. They have now sprouted and have shed thier seed casing without any help from me They are adapting to the 175 Watt HPS bulb and enjoying their new home!!!

About us

Strain Hunters is a series of documentaries aimed at informing the general public about the quest for the preservation of the cannabis plant in the form of particularly vulnerable landraces originating in the poorest areas of the planet.

Cannabis, one of the most ancient plants known to man, used in every civilisation all over the world for medicinal and recreational purposes, is facing a very real threat of extinction. One day these plants could be helpful in developing better medications for the sick and the suffering. We feel it is our duty to preserve as many cannabis landraces in our genetic database, and by breeding them into other well-studied medicinal strains for the sole purpose of scientific research.
