  1. yeah no strain in the philippines, but the baguio gold is an excellent smoke.
  2. true. no such thing as philippines strain as it was imported apparently vietnam. but that baguio gold is just too good.
  3. ive never been to those guerilla fields. they are rather far from where i am. i am however very familiar with the product....
  4. there is the SAGADA gold and there is Baguio Gold. both sativas. I have tasted Baguio gold bud (which had me talking in slow motion) and sagada Hash (very fragrant sativa hash, hand rubbed). Baguio gold is still my preferred choice. but mind you i think the cannabis plant was brought here from Thailand if im not mistaken. down central Philippines is CEBU. there are guerilla farmers there in the small farming town of Balamban. this is where most of central Philippines gets most of the weed. Philippine weed is Mostly Sativas.
  5. greetings strainhunters. im mark from the Philippines. im an avid follower of your strainhunters series. i was wondering if you have tried any of the weed from the northern mountain regions of the Philippines. the Sagada Area and Baguio. i live in a different province so i do not have access but i have tried the elusive Baguio Gold, the "best" cannabis in the Philippines. but it is so hard to find where im from. but i can say it was the best smoke ive had(considering all i smoke are local outdoor grown). Much respect for what you guys do. mark

About us

Strain Hunters is a series of documentaries aimed at informing the general public about the quest for the preservation of the cannabis plant in the form of particularly vulnerable landraces originating in the poorest areas of the planet.

Cannabis, one of the most ancient plants known to man, used in every civilisation all over the world for medicinal and recreational purposes, is facing a very real threat of extinction. One day these plants could be helpful in developing better medications for the sick and the suffering. We feel it is our duty to preserve as many cannabis landraces in our genetic database, and by breeding them into other well-studied medicinal strains for the sole purpose of scientific research.
