  1. Totally agree with you on this, but if you're unable to keep any food down and not getting the nutrients your baby desperately needs, I believe using cannabis is the best remedy out there. If your wife is puking her brains out all day, every day, would you give her some of your home grown herb or get some nice chemicals at your local pharmacist? Anyways, I've been reading a lot more on this subject, but the research is often so outdated it's not relevant anymore. Also, many researches show some serious flaws when they attempt to rule out other variables. Not to mention that many of the researchers already have a strong opinion about the use of marijuana before starting their research, or are afraid for their reputation, which makes for biased results. Because it's very difficult to study the effects on human subjects because of the many variables, let's take a look at the effects of THC on animals (from http://www.mothering...uring-pregnancy, brief and interesting article): And for the history fans, a 30-page research about the use of cannabis in obstetrics and gynecology through history: http://www.cannabis-...002-03-04-1.pdf I hope more research will be done on this subject, or maybe one day do it myself
  2. Useful info here! Gonna harvest tomorrow From Franco's tricks and tips: I'm going cow hunting in the city!
  3. Great idea Dust!
  4. Hello everyone All of my female smoker friends quit smoking when they found out they were pregnant. During one of my (way too) many daydreaming sessions I wondered why. Marijuana is such a great plant, what harm can it do to your baby? A very nice lady, Dr. Melanie Dreher, had the same thoughts decades ago and did a quite extensive research about the use of marijuana during pregnancy. She studied almost fifty Jamaican pregnant women, smoking and non-smoking, and compared the exposed and non-exposed kids at 3 days, one year, and five years of age. Here's an excerpt of her research, published in the American Journal of Pediatrics in 1994 (http://www.druglibra.../can-babies.htm): At age five, no differences were found between kids of smokers and non-smokers. Experiences, opinions? I know this isn't everybody's cup of tea but I felt the need to share
  5. Welcome and good luck discovering the forum
  6. Haha, I should've reduced the question to "What do you do to save money that happens to be eco-friendly too". Anyway, thanks for the replies. I'm definitely going to consider 12/12. Rain water isn't an option unfortunately, big dirty dry city
  7. Hello Hunters! Since I started growing, I've become very aware of the considerable amounts of electricity and water that are needed, especially with indoor grows. Because I've always been a green girl I'd like to reduce all of this to a minimum. So, my question is, what do you guys do to grow eco-friendly, without giving in on yields and quality? - Where does your electricity come from? (Solar panels, eco-friendly electricity company, ...?) - Light cycle, strength of lights, can you have too much light? - Use of timers on fans, humidifiers, heaters, airco, …? - Water management, do you know how much water you use, R/O systems, ...? - Use of organic fertilizers? - Do you reuse your grow medium? - Anything else? Go go go! Peace
  8. Awesome pictures! The purple's so pretty!
  9. Dust is back Yesterday an experienced grower came over to visit and said I was doing great and just need to relax haha. The flush seems to have worked, I'll post a few pictures next week!
  10. Congratulations on the cups Funny pics and videos, looks like you had a lot of fun! Dabs everywhere hahaha!
  11. If you want to live in the centre, sharing a flat is always a great idea. A few websites: http://www.easyflatshare.com/ http://www.easykamer.nl/?l=1 http://woondetective.nl/ http://kamernet.nl/ http://huizen.trovit.nl/ (this one is in Dutch) Some useful words: Kamer - room Te huur - for rent Te koop - for sale Good luck
  12. KuBellara, are you looking for a furnished appartment or are you bringing/buying furniture? For how long will you stay in A'dam?
  13. Your room is huuuuge! Looking good! Good luck
  14. Hm, thinking back I might have used too much PH down in one of the buckets at the last watering. Gave the twins a good flush this afternoon. Definitely need to buy a decent PH meter asap. I'll keep updating this topic Thanks Tokage!

About us

Strain Hunters is a series of documentaries aimed at informing the general public about the quest for the preservation of the cannabis plant in the form of particularly vulnerable landraces originating in the poorest areas of the planet.

Cannabis, one of the most ancient plants known to man, used in every civilisation all over the world for medicinal and recreational purposes, is facing a very real threat of extinction. One day these plants could be helpful in developing better medications for the sick and the suffering. We feel it is our duty to preserve as many cannabis landraces in our genetic database, and by breeding them into other well-studied medicinal strains for the sole purpose of scientific research.
