Hey man! Yeh I wasn't too sure about reveging her but I looked at some pics and read flowers to the peoples thread on it and thought id try anyway. She is on 24hrs under a 130 CFL. No big deal if it doesn't come to fruition as I have a few more seeds of this one. Have already started a Great White Shark and a Kerala X Skunk in the cabinet and they should have a good head start before going outdoors in the summer. Cant wait to try and grow a couple of trees!! Take care mate. Ozi

Hi guys, Sorry for late reply been very busy. I received my loupe last week and had a close look at her and the trychs were definitely cloudy with at least 20% being amber so she was cut down but I left a few of the lower popcorn buds on to try and regenerate her. Obviously I have never done this before as this is the very first plant I have grown so some advice would be great!! I have just trimmed up some of the plant and am quite happy with the results so far. The buds are very solid and smell good enough to eat! Will have a cheeky little taste tonight then I will not try it again for another few weeks while it cures properly. Hope you enjoy the pics. Cheers Ozi

Hi guys, Day 40 of the flower period, We have had perfectly sunny days around the 23C-28C all week so she has been spending the days outside basking in the sun. My 30X and 60X loupe will be here early next week so I can keep a look out for any changes in the trychs and I bought myself a new PH meter during the week, so I did a little test with before and after PH test using worm juice. I set the PH to 6 added worm juice 50mls per litre and tested again and the ph was 8.2!! But she is still filling up nicely and the buds are very solid when squeezed, so she seems to be recovering. Thanks to you all for your input it is greatly appreciated!! Here are a few pics taken only minutes ago. Thanks again guys, Couldn't do it without you!! When do you guys end it? when the trychs are cloudy or wait for some amber to show? Cheers Ozi

Hi SS, Thanks for helping out. I really appreciate you guys taking the time to post. It is a 8-9week flower time it says. And she has been on 12/12 for only 36 days. I would love to try and reveg it but I have absolutely no idea how to make that happen. I will have a look around later today to see what I can find on the subject. Thanks again for your input, cant thank you guys enough. Cheers Ozi

Hi Mr G, Thanks again for stopping by. My meter was playing up so I bought a PH test kit instead. I was getting the PH to the 5.8 then adding the worm tea and feeding her without checking the PH again, And before I realised what a rookie I was being it was too late. Most of the leaf tips broke off as they were black and crispy. I feel terrible and I want to kick myself in the groin 10 times as she has become like a member of the family over the last 2months and I have done my best to care for her, She even has a name, Mary (of course) and now she seems sad and a little ugly. So I should keep with the original plan and harvest at the end of week 8?? Because in 2 weeks it will be the start of week 8? Your help is very much appreciated mate, hence the reason I joined this forum instead of others, Everyone is friendly and there is no rude, ignorant or condescending remarks, And I love the fact that you guys that have been doing this extremely well for many seasons with large set-ups don't mind helping out a little grower like me with my tiny set-up. Cheers Ozi

I had the pleasure of meeting and chatting with John on the weekend, And this man knows his stuff. I learnt more in an hour with him then I have in countless hours on the internet and youtube. I also got some samples of his Liberty Haze, Pineapple Chunk and Crème Caramel Auto. My car smelt beautiful on the way home and beats the new car smell I had on the way there! The LH and PC are both a fantastic high! I found them very social, I was laughing and talking alot and they both helped with some pain relief and tasted great. I was cooking a recipe I found on the internet after trying th LH and it made things very interesting!! All in all both were thoroughly enjoyable and exactly the type of high I enjoy. I will be trying Crème Caramel tonight and I will update tomorrow. Thanks again John. See you in a few weeks.

Hi everyone, So its the start of week 6 flower at 12/12. 400W HPS. She has been spending the days outside for most of the week as it has been beautiful sunny days at around the 23C mark, Even managed a day at 29C for the second last day of winter! I apologise for the photos as I made a massive mistake at the start of the week by not testing the water after adding the worm tea! It brought the PH up and around the 8 mark and I fed her this a few times and she is not looking good at all. I flushed her two days ago and she will only get water at a PH of 6 from now until the end. Can she recover from this? Or do I cut my losses and pull her out ?? Big shout out to Flowers To The People who I had the pleasure of meeting on the weekend. His Liberty Haze and Pineapple Chunk is some of the most enjoyable smoke I have ever had. Looking forward to trying his Crème Caramel tonight. Anyway guys my sincere apologies for what you are about to see in the pictures, It is a bit of a tragedy im afraid. And im at a loss of what I should do from here. How much will this effect the buds?? Comments and any helpful advice would be greatly appreciated as always. Cheers ozi.

Hi John, Thanks very much for the kind words, Feels like im 5years old just got another gold star at school, and nobody else did today! I have actually surprised myself to be honest! I feed her about 500mls every 18hrs or so. I just wait till the top soil is dry. My PH meter was reading wrong and she was getting her drink at around the 7-7.5 PH mark, It was either that or she didn't like the worm juice. Being new to this im not sure. Thanks for your advice mate, Best wishes with your current grow! Ozi

Man, That set up looks awesome! Wish I had the room and knowledge to do something like that! Just wondering what would be the expected yield from something like this? I would be stoked to have something like that! Take care and good luck with it all. Ozi

Yeh mate I think it was my PH meter, Calibrated it with my pool PH kit and im hoping it wont stuff up again! Was reading lower then it was supposed to be. Its day 33 of flower and I have taken her out for the day as its a lovely and sunny 23c here. I think things are going well but then again its my first time but I was not expecting so many buds to be growing and will probably double my expectations of yield from her. Here are a few pics taken today and the little one is the Kerala X Krush I was given. Don't know too much about her but I am keen to see how she goes! She will be under the 130W light for another 6weeks or so then she will spend the full summer outside. I have put in a pic of the light aswell. She will be LST'd and tipped just like this one was but I think she will get quite large getting the full summer outside, so need to keep her low and long. The seed was germinated in a shot glass of water in the dark then after a 4 days the tap root was 5mm, then she went into a pre soaked rock wool cube and back in the dark for 2 days and a few days later here she is. Any comments as always are much appreciated. Take care Ozi.

Hey guys, Quick update, Its the start of week 5 at 12/12 and things are starting to fill up. Still have some nute burn going on, But I have only been feeding her a mixture of 1 part worm juice to 20 parts water, ph=5.8 unless my meter is playing up! Any other ideas what might be going on? I will give her a few days without any worm tea thrown in to the water and hopefully she gets better. Some of the white hairs are turning browny orange type of colour. Anyways have a look at the pics and as always your advice is greatly appreciated!! Thanks very much, Ozi

About us
Strain Hunters is a series of documentaries aimed at informing the general public about the quest for the preservation of the cannabis plant in the form of particularly vulnerable landraces originating in the poorest areas of the planet.
Cannabis, one of the most ancient plants known to man, used in every civilisation all over the world for medicinal and recreational purposes, is facing a very real threat of extinction. One day these plants could be helpful in developing better medications for the sick and the suffering. We feel it is our duty to preserve as many cannabis landraces in our genetic database, and by breeding them into other well-studied medicinal strains for the sole purpose of scientific research.
