  1. when you want a male they dont come lol is it possible that i stressed a female to be full blown male? would the selfing rules still apply?
  2. no it was a male and female.. but the male came from "feminized" seed and he was no hermi for sure.. it just seems so strange that there hasn't been one male.. Ive been hopping for a male but none yet.. I may have to self one of my girls if this keeps up..
  3. ok so a while back I did a cross breed when one of my nirvana bubbleicous feminized autoflower seeds wound up being a male.. the cross produced 100 mature seeds so far over 20 have gone in the ground and all have produced females and no hermys.. is it possible that all my seeds could end up female? or have I just been lucky so far? its just odd and it got me thinking..
  4. I'm planning on pulling out the ones to be pollinated I'll let them rest for a day then soak them and put them back
  5. Im Reading that i can do it now with just the pistols i dont need the bud. Im going to pollinate the whole plant so should i just us a paint brush and tap it over the pistols?if i do that they should have a full 4 weeks to develop the seeds and ill just let those girls go longer if i feel like they arent matured enough im not trying to get bud from them just seeds.. sound about rite?
  6. Ive decided to try to pollinate 3 of my ladies with it. Im going to pollinate the female bubblicous, one of the shorter pheno hybrids and one of the taller phenos. when should i polinate them? at the pace they are going i most likely only have about 4 weeks of flowering left. but the buds are very tiny at the moment.
  7. Well I didn't save a Ton of it and I knew it should be dark. Use whats available
  8. So a little while back I had a Male Nirvana Bubblicous I pollinated a Female GHS Green o'matic. But there was way more pollen then I needed and I decided to try to save some. I don't know whether it is still viable or not. Only time will tell I will be trying to use it in the coming weeks. Ill Post an update on here if it worked. So This is what i did. First I collected the pollen with a piece of white paper and a small paint brush. Tapping the male flowers lightly while having the paper under the flowers. Also brushing it off the leaves under the flowers and onto the paper. Next I made a few small envelopes out of paper and tape (using as little tape as possible so the envelope can breath) Labeled the envelops Put pollen into the envelops and close them. I made multiple envelopes so I do not have to disturb all the pollen just to get a little bit. I put the envelops in a dark canister (film canister) I put the canister in the refrigerator for 3 days and then moved it to the freezer. Before using it I will transfer from the freezer to the refrigerator for a couple days before letting it come to room temp before use. This was at the end of April. Was this a good method? I will know in a month or so if it worked. But even still I'm not sure how long it should be viable frozen

  12. Hey all.. so this isn't a full journal as I found the site after popping the beans in the dirt. So here is a little background: There are currently 9 (stated 10 lost one to damping off x8) of the hybrid and 1 Green o'matic and 1 Bubblicous Germinated in Burpee Self Watering Seed Starter ( Will Probably stick them directly in the planter next time) They went in the seed starter on July 4th ended up with all girls They are in 1 gal pots with Fox Farms Ocean forest in the bottom 2/3 of the pot and organic seed starting soil in the top 1/3 They are under 1 150w Procyon LED and 2 T5 CFL fixtures 20/4 Today started watering x4 and x5 with 15ml per gallon Botanicare Sweet Berry (want to see the difference with ans without) It looks like they are starting to show two different Phenotypes but will keep an eye on that. Some how missed a shot of #6 but here are the ladies as of today day 30
  13. the documentary is awesome.. it shows you how plants(not just cannabis)make us and other animals work for them

About us

Strain Hunters is a series of documentaries aimed at informing the general public about the quest for the preservation of the cannabis plant in the form of particularly vulnerable landraces originating in the poorest areas of the planet.

Cannabis, one of the most ancient plants known to man, used in every civilisation all over the world for medicinal and recreational purposes, is facing a very real threat of extinction. One day these plants could be helpful in developing better medications for the sick and the suffering. We feel it is our duty to preserve as many cannabis landraces in our genetic database, and by breeding them into other well-studied medicinal strains for the sole purpose of scientific research.
