  1. anyone want to reply please?
  2. hello guys thank you for the reply! to answer your question dust im located in the southern hemisphere (Australia). There hasn't been any extreme weather changes since veg to pre flowering. Also to answer your questions Cannabisspean there is no artificial lighting close by. I haven't tested any factors as in soil ph. Everything seemed to be going really well until around 4 week of bloom. Pistils were looking nice and white and were popping up where they should then all of a sudden they were browning up very early and the calyx weren't really swelling much either. You say they could be going back to veg stage? Is it possible to still get any smoke at all from these girls or am I better off ripping them out or should I wait and see what happens?
  3. Here is a lower branch I cut off and trimmed down so you get a better view of what's going on.
  4. Here is some more pictures. some are poor quality.
  5. I planted these from seed outdoors from what I can remember in early/mid august. so in theory I should harvest in January or Feb? Damn I was really hoping to get some good bud production out of these.
  6. most/ all pistils have browned up and from what I can tell have stopped in production all together. they are both grown completely outdoors besides a month or two in a make shift greenhouse I made, however have been out in the open sun completely. my pots are 12 Litre pots so I would have thought that there is plenty of room for root space and production. There are calyx productions at each node but there isn't all that may to each section and it seems as if they arnt swelling too much either. I will upload a full pic of each girl, they are otherwise very healthy minus the browning pistils and low calyx production.
  7. all is sweet besides the browing of the pistils? no defects in leaf or blade production. I searched the web for hrs and cant seem to find any info. its like its maturing without the bud production and calyx swelling?
  8. here are some updated pics guys also check out my forum post I put up aswell there are more pics and info there too and as you can see there isn't much of a bud site forming at the nodes, only pistils that are turning brown and have, what I can tell stop producing?
  9. Hello fellow growers! So I have a few questions that I hope people can help me out with? I have 2 females growing outdoors (not too sure what week they are at). I have noticed that 90% of the pistils on one of my girls are tying brown and dying. On my other girl there is hardly any pistils or calyx forming and what pistils are on her are also dying. Calyx on my girl that is more mature don't seem to be swelling much either. I have searched all over them both and there are no signs of male genetics i.e. balls of sacks. I did have 1 male that I spotted very early in veg and destroyed when all 3 were at the same stage of veg. From the pictures I upload I'm hoping someone could please give me a bit of insight into what's going on here. Are or have they been pollinated? Will I still get bud production? Will I get seeds? could they be hermaphrodites? Thank you to anyone that reply's or can give me a heads up with what's going on. CHEERS!
  10. thanks for the replies everyone. my pre flower stage is almost ending with one girl and she's starting to form heads! The other girl is growing a little slower and smells beautiful. they are both unknown strains that I got from bag seed. one smells almost like a mint/ peppercorn and the other is almost like a grape/bubble gum.
  11. Ive been checking up on my girls over the last two days that i put them out of the green house to completely outside. I may have thought my green house was getting too hot, but as far as i can tell placing them outside hasnt made much of a difference. The pistils on my tops are white with a few getting to that amber stage, as are the lowest and in the middle of the plants. I would say maybe around 20 percent of what pistils are out are starting to turn or are already brown. Maybe genetics, them for both plants to do so, so early into flower somethings not right. I water 1-2 times a week, depending on how dry my soil is. The rest of the plants are looking fine. A nice dark green and good size fan leaves. I also use 5ml to every litre of budrite part A and part B when watering. Anyone have the same troubles with their pistils? Also when pistils do turn brown and curl up will new pistils grow back? Will i still see my girls produce buds as expected? Thanks guys.
  12. Hello guys. im just wondering if anyone can give me a better understanding to as my on both my female plants the bottom an middle pistils of my plants are browning up already? The rest of my plants are looking fine, nice green, big healthy leaves too. I read that it could be due to heat ( ive got them in a small greenhouse I made) ive recently put them outside to recive direct sun and breeze. The other reason for the pistils turning brown so early could be due to pollunation? I did discover 1 plant I had to be a male. It showed its true sex 4 days ago. I discovered the green bannanas, but im 100% sure I pulled it out in time before the pollen sacks split. Any insight woyld be great. Ive recently tried my first LTS tie down on both my girls too, so fingers crossed all gos well!
  13. Hey guys thaks for the reply. So whats your take on the pistils already browning up 3 weeks into flower? Ive recently tryed my first LTS tie down too. So thumbs up, it all works out.
  14. Hey guys my plant that I topped in the pic where I wanted to know the sex ended up being a male!! Damn it. Was really looking good too. It obly started to show its true sex 4 days ago. I noticed the little green bannanas. Pulled it before they had a chance to pop. Luckely I only found two sets and they were in erly stage. Also my two other plants I have are growing nicely. They both aee females with nice pistils. But over the lasr week ive noticed that towards the middle and bottoms of both pants the pistils are already brown up. Iread that its either due to heat ( too hot, ive got them in a greenhouse I made) or the other reason for the pistils browning is because of pollen from a male? Im 100% sure I got to the male well before its pollen sacks opened. Im going to post pics up to show you how there going. Cheers guys.

About us

Strain Hunters is a series of documentaries aimed at informing the general public about the quest for the preservation of the cannabis plant in the form of particularly vulnerable landraces originating in the poorest areas of the planet.

Cannabis, one of the most ancient plants known to man, used in every civilisation all over the world for medicinal and recreational purposes, is facing a very real threat of extinction. One day these plants could be helpful in developing better medications for the sick and the suffering. We feel it is our duty to preserve as many cannabis landraces in our genetic database, and by breeding them into other well-studied medicinal strains for the sole purpose of scientific research.
