  1. You better hurry there before it's atomized by Donald Duck !
  2. My honest and deepest condolences to Franco's family & close friends, the GHSC staff and all who knew him personally. So sad he had to leave so young, leaving his family behind, which breaks my heart. R.I.P. Franco Fim Lars
  3. What happens in chat stays in chat
  4. I can contact ralle via Phone if you cant reach him...need about the same info for 2017. Let's combine our efforts...send me PM Cannabissapean and we can try to contact Ralle directly with in person meeting Fim
  5. Nice start !!! If you keep the same tidyness and effort throughout the grow till harvest you will be among those who harvest well You could place some plates with water, waterbucket, wet towels, etc... to the tent until humidity is in control.
  6. Good idea, till Xmas those buds will become an outstanding smoke only love & patience can deliver
  7. NICE Just smoked some Himalaya Gold this morning you won't regret that one !
  8. The hardest part is doing NOTHING....look and smell for 4-6 weeks !!! Bridge the time with some nice ice hash from trim !? That's how I do it mostly.
  9. Yumyum Well done mate !
  10. grow fridge

Welcome ..and a fridge grow sounds nice !!! *bookmarked Fim
  11. I dont like to guess ripeness..take a magnifying glass ( 60-80x )and check the trichomes' color Looks good, also had Auto Jack from Par.Seeds last year indoor...excellent auto...not much diff from oridinary strain's looks. The GHSC JH-A has a far btter taste tho, but looks not that nice
  12. Considering it's an Auto strain ... yes. I would judge by colour of the trichomes and general ripeness and feeling of the bud(s) and not by a mark in the calendar, especially not with Autos. I think some more fattening could take place so you get some yield
  13. gonna be tons of nice trim...make your thoughts about how to do ice water hash in bigger style.....200L barrel.....1kW driller....cold cold water...lil ice....and time There are nice videos of guys doing it with more than a small bag of trim....to get you an ideaof what you will encounter ....
  14. Keep them flowering and buy a solid timer and a Protector Relais ( electro magnetic ) to save the timer from burning the pins if you have an old style ballast. Some timers also wont accept the perm. current and heat flowing across it and MELT, seen all of that BS...only buy solid stuff and dont buy from price tag, this stuff will burn your house down !!!!! I have had so far: - multiple melted timers = I now use digital ballast with built-in timers only. - 2 melted and burning ventilators = take them out as soon as they squeek or make any kind of not-normal noise ( that 1 ventilator smoked the whole house ! If it had been a multi family home that would have been IT !!! For sake its been a lonely house somewhere far out and no one called the Firemen ! ) - melted Adjust-A-Wing connector box..: Dont trust AAW, retighten ALL their screws, always and everywhere TIGHT !! its 230V !! Take extra care, you wouldnt be the 1st grower found dead in his grow room or who burned his home down ! Almost been there too often, god damn !!
  15. And guys...such a setup cries for mites !! prepare early and have stuff at hand to fight it before it even starts
  16. 5 x 600 and only 8 plants ? You either intend to grow real big trees or you will be far better off with many more plants. 3kW must deliver somewhere around 2.75-3.0kg or you didnt do the job as good as it can be done. lets divide 3.000gr / 8 = 375gr. would need to be harvested each plant to make it worth the pain. Actually..if you take 5 rows each 5 plants makes 25. thats a lil over 100 each..far more likely to happen if you do a good job then 375. The grows with that many lights usually do 6x6, 6x7 or 7x7 in rows, 30L pots, 5-6 x 600w plus additional smaller bulbs if needed. Space needed somewhere 2.5x2.5m to 3x3m...around that. for 5-7 600's hps ( 660 overdrive actually ). You also need at least 6-8 fans, 40-50cm diameter to whirl air 24/7/365. later on, place some fans low down to blow around pots and prevent infestions and mold. Air air air, everywhere 24/7/365 the rule of thumb for ventilation is a MINIMUM of 400cbm per 600w bulb. You need at least 1600cbm air outtake to fight the heat and humidity, better go 2000cbm. Do not forget that your intake must be about 85% of your outtake capacity. A small inlet will never allow 1600-2000 to be sucked out, no matter what fan you have ! For 1600-2000cbm you need an intake no lesser than 50x50cm with a filter, the more filter you apply the bigger it needs to be. 1sqm inlet is no bad idea if you can do that. Or..if u got the money..buy a 1600 inlet and 2000 outlet fan, plus a control computer like ecotechnics' and set the values Air is the hardest to master, far harder then doing the lights, pots or any other. It usually involves heavy work in your scale, holes through walls and heavy 300mm ducting and last but not least a heavy jetstream that exists your place, maybe you cant smell it, but the jetstream of 2kcbm air is LOUD and also has some force to be taken care of. A silencer is not a bad deal if you have enough space to put one in...either self made or from shop.
  17. Very nice indeed ! Keep the bud porn coming
  18. Hey G22, from what many in this forum say including me with 1st hand experience, dont do the Kalashnikova. It's a bad strain from most experiences. There is one nice phenoe ( in video ) and MOST others are just BAD. I had 3 survivors from 5 and all went hermie, including funny looks and freak of nature like experience. I seldomly do say DONT do that strain, but think twice about this one or come to SH Forum chat into our chatrrom and ask for experience and advice. I just monitored a 9 strain grow, all GHSC, all were real nice but the Kalashnikova. 1 was an Auto, JH-Auto, and cannot be compared, so 7 others to compare. My personal tip, if you look for a plant with a smile, try Bubba Kush. It has the best overall budsize and is on the faster lane, compared to the other 7 strains in there from GHSC. But tbh, all 7 others turned out nice too, the Pure Kush is also very extraordinary but may need a more experienced grower and support as it grows very tall and may not carry the buds alone. The buds are virtually without leaves. They look best from appearance "on the plant" imo. MoneyMaker is a mixed phenoe strain, they are very not alike and some are just not very usable, not a seed only strain but clones if you catch the good phenoe. Exodus Cheese and Jack Here are very alike, solid strains with tons of info about them already. Nothing exceptional but solid and always welcome. I would do any one again but the Kalashnikova. Fim
  19. Just came to my mind while looking at your plants again and again and again..:) The sun is real intense where you are located, covering the soil around the plants with hey and loose dry dirt will help prevent drying out the soil and baking it hard so it wont intake water directly when it comes but runs away. Just a minor thing that I did to mine to prevent baking the soil. The HimG I have grown myself just recently and I tell you, this plant goes HIGH and WIDE and has nice, mostly cone shaped buds Havent smoked them yet...in a couple weeks I can tell you how they taste Otherwise...excellent man !!
  20. Exploding Keep it Ultra-Green hehe !!!
  21. The Sun's OUT !!! yeah finally it's movin' towards the right direction
  22. I never bamboo anything Looks awesome the way it is !
  23. Nice Nuggets Wanna invite me for fries & nuggets ??? Keep it clean & green, good job !
  24. Ohhh Auto Jack Herer from GHSC ?? I just took some down of those ID. Nice smoke, nice smell and tase but bag appearance lacks fsar behind its smoking qualities. Also trimming is kinda painfull cause the buds has many leaves. Not bad but not a keeper. I had at least 4 different main phenos, The taller ones producing up to over 100gr dry bud indoors. It heavily depends what phenoes you get, some of them are tall and tiny buds and need 13-14 weeks, even under very intense hps and etc... The smaller ones generally peak in week 10-11. I could not manage the given times of the catalog but was 1-2 weeks over with the fastest ones, and weeks to come for the slower ones. count week 10-14 as your harvesting weeks, depending on phenoes and trichome colors. It's also a nice ice hash strain, mild to smoke, not too intense so you can still pretty much do all you want. Very social strain but the plant itself needs and overhaul, less leafes and less phenoes that are not not ID qualified.
  25. They have been fertilized gently already to stabilize the N. Basically I want to avoid most of the salts OD, mostly using Bat Guano , EWC, Compost & DolLime ( same is ID actually, where I also add Enzymes ) Only when they grow so strong that this Bio stuff cant keep up we add salts in small amounts. Since we have heavy rain for over a month now, it is OK for them to have been some-kinda N-washed for now. They still grow like mad and have no other defs.. Ours is in the wilderness and not in a garden btw. When the sun comes and the rain gets modest they will turn nice & green...that's the plan

About us

Strain Hunters is a series of documentaries aimed at informing the general public about the quest for the preservation of the cannabis plant in the form of particularly vulnerable landraces originating in the poorest areas of the planet.

Cannabis, one of the most ancient plants known to man, used in every civilisation all over the world for medicinal and recreational purposes, is facing a very real threat of extinction. One day these plants could be helpful in developing better medications for the sick and the suffering. We feel it is our duty to preserve as many cannabis landraces in our genetic database, and by breeding them into other well-studied medicinal strains for the sole purpose of scientific research.
