And this is the feminised Amnesia which bounced back from the brink of death. Last week she was only one set of dying leaves. Look at the little legend now! Thanks for the love, guys. I'll keep the updates coming. Game on!

Well, freak nightly frosts and low temps (2 deg.c.) was nearly the death of a feminised Amnesia seedling growing alongside the Pineapple Chunk. In response, I have been leaving them both outdoors during the day (daytimes have been awesome - today has been a sunny 28 deg.c. and nice and breezy!) and finishing their 18 hours of light under 4x20 watt CFC bulbs (on a 6hr sleep via the timer.) The Amnesia has picked up from the brink of death (you can see the damaged leaves on the first set above the cody's) and looking nice and perky. The Pineapple Chunk is loving the sun and both plants aren't upset about the daytime/indoor regime. Fingers crossed until the nights improve...

Cheers Dust! Looks like I might be lucky with this one after all!

Since I was here last, she has continued to veg at a fast rate. I trimmed off a couple of the larger shade leaves that were blocking off the rest of the plant last week. This week, I have transplanted her into a larger pot (more potting/blood+bone/soil mix) which she responded well to. Today, I have tied down the two top colas to the rim of the pot. The two lower branches have been LST'd to grow further out - everything is nice and uniform for some latereral growth. There is still more pistol development, but it doesn't have seemed to stop stem and leaf growth. The change from outdoor to indoor on a nightly basis hasn't upset her one bit! I'll be sure to continue updates on this little mutant. Note - there is still only 3-leaf development since the topping. They remind me of the old adidas symbol!

Thanks shamanstrain - good to know! Personally, I think I'll be leaving autos alone for a while and stick to getting my basics down pat with regular strains. As for the light schedule, here in Australia at the mo, we're in mid Spring and getting around 13 hours of good sunlight at a fairly dry 27 degrees c. I'm having to bring her in at night though and put her in the darkroom as we are still getting freak nightly frosts here with temps as low as 2 deg.c. - ahhh, the joys of the outback!

G'day growers and tokers! Thought I'd throw my hat in the ring and start my first grow journal on a sexy little feminised pineapple chunk seedling. I'm planning to do an organic soil-based grow. At the moment, she is in a soil/potting mix/blood and bone mix and while I was germinating under 5x20w CFLs, a little legal matter forced me to place this little sucker under daylight barely a week ago. Once the drama blows over, I'll have her under 600w HPS/MH and mainlined alongside a feminised Amnesia and 2x Critical Rapido. As the dust settles and my light setup is sorted out, I'll tee up some more pics as the show progresses. Thought I'd throw in a pic of my Big Bang auto which was also forced outdoors last week - nearly time to get my harvest on with this little tart... GAME ON!

GthaDevil started following Autoflower opinion...

I've got 2x Big Bang Autoflower on the grow at the moment, (were under indoor/CFLs but moved this week outside due to legal probs) and one is looking all good and about 2/3 weeks away from harvest (Hazzah!!!) but the second had to be topped about 3 weeks ago as the crown on the auto formed too early and was prohibiting all veg growth (and therefore giving me no space to grow nice healthy nugs!). Just out of curiosity - the topped Big Bang looks to have gone back into veg and grow out the two new colas - I didn't think this happened to autoflower as I thought they flowered/matured at the same rate of time regardless. Is this second plant going to develop/veg more before flowering, or will it simply mature with little to no bud on it? I was hoping to get a bit more veg out of her to get a bigger yield later on in the piece... fingers crossed! This is my first grow with autos and I was just curious as to this development. Cheers all!

A big bud-filled G'day to everyone here! I have just started growing this year after decades of buying my medicine, and loving the knowledge and good vibes that the online weed community seem to have. I also have joined the Australian H.E.M.P. (Help End Marijuana Prohibition) Party to further the ideals and knowledge surrounding Mary-Jane and the people out there fighting for legalisation of the herb. Looking forward to laughing with and annoying you all!
About us
Strain Hunters is a series of documentaries aimed at informing the general public about the quest for the preservation of the cannabis plant in the form of particularly vulnerable landraces originating in the poorest areas of the planet.
Cannabis, one of the most ancient plants known to man, used in every civilisation all over the world for medicinal and recreational purposes, is facing a very real threat of extinction. One day these plants could be helpful in developing better medications for the sick and the suffering. We feel it is our duty to preserve as many cannabis landraces in our genetic database, and by breeding them into other well-studied medicinal strains for the sole purpose of scientific research.
