  1. Many thanks Franco for confirming my own thoughts about industrial hemp. I know this thread is nearly 2 years old, but what really interests me about it is the fact that THC is still being added into to the equation - as if it is some sort of 'magic ingredient' that has to be included into 'medicine' to make it viable. I have read many research papers that talk about CBD being beneficial that don't even mention THC's synergistic relationship with CBD. Charlotte Figi was 5 years old when she was given/cured by CBD rich oil that contained only 'trace' amounts of THC. So, is THC really that necessary, as it just complicates matters 'legally'. SATIVEX is a prime example of the possession/legality aspect of Cannabinoid medicines. Being comprised of a 50/50 mix of CBD and THC it immediately comes under the controls of the authorities because of its THC content - CBD is legal to possess, yes, even here in the UK! [see attached file - third on list] Picture source: nature.com/nrn/journal/v14/n8/fig_tab/nrn3530_T1.html At the end of your post you mention that you are looking into this subject. Can you do everyone a favour and consider trying to produce a plant, or product, with 0% THC? Or is this asking too much, even of you guys? Achieving this would make high CBD+Cannabinoid medicines available to, pretty much, everyone worldwide. As I said before, I don't think THC is the 'magic ingredient' and personally wouldn't give a damn if the medicine that cured me contained no THC at all - if it worked.
  2. Hi Peeps. I have just found the forum after Googling CBD. I see that there is quite a lot of disscusion about the 'new' strains of plants that are high in Cannabidiol (CBD) content. I am particularly interested in this compound for use in the healing process and look forward to sharing my, and others, experiences with CBD - and other cannabinoids - in the future. Best wishes to all! B.

About us

Strain Hunters is a series of documentaries aimed at informing the general public about the quest for the preservation of the cannabis plant in the form of particularly vulnerable landraces originating in the poorest areas of the planet.

Cannabis, one of the most ancient plants known to man, used in every civilisation all over the world for medicinal and recreational purposes, is facing a very real threat of extinction. One day these plants could be helpful in developing better medications for the sick and the suffering. We feel it is our duty to preserve as many cannabis landraces in our genetic database, and by breeding them into other well-studied medicinal strains for the sole purpose of scientific research.
