  1. Hi Everyone As promised i got a bit of time today to do i DIY on the individual scrog pots i make. I will not go into measurements as they can be adjusted to suit anyones needs , i personally have 420 x 420 screens lol They say necessity is the mother of all good ideas , i am limited for height were i flower and limited in working area so i always though i would not be able to scrog as i need to move my pots around . i also grow perpetually and like to grow many different strains. All of these things were a roadblock in my quest to scrog . I had to come up with a design that was cheap easy to make , durable and could be moved around. Wood was out as it attacks mould and fungi unless really well sealed. I also didnt like the idea of a steel mesh as it wouldnt last and may rust. I started to play around with pvc pipe and this is where i got to i hope you guys enjoy Tools Needed: Drill 4mm Drill Bit 20m 2.5mm Lacing Twine Saw 20mm straight pvc joints pvc pipe bender screws 2 x 20mm lengths pvc pipe measuring tape if you do not have a pipe bender you can substitute the bends with store bought 90 degree elbows I like to use this type of screw as it works well Step 1: -Cut the desired length of pipe eg. if i want a 420 x 420 screen you would want to cut the length to 1.8m -mark the middle and make your first bend Step 2: -Mark the desired length for next bend eg for me i want it 420mm , i would measure 400mm taking into account the extra 20mm from the width of the pipe -Make the bend Step 3: By this point your pipe should be looking like this -Repeat step 2 to create your next bend Step 4: Your pipe should now be looking like this -Once again repeat step 2 to create the last bend Step 5: Your pipe should now be looking like this -Cut pipe down to correct size and use a coupler to connect the 2 sides Step 6: -Mark a piece of wood to create a template to make the holes -Place the frame on the template and mark the holes Step 7: -Drill Holes Step 8: -Thread the twine through the holes don't cut the twine, start by threading through on one end and just unroll as you need , we will cut at the end to not waste any -the twine must be in an under over configuration as it holds together better -Tighten up the screen and tie off Step 9: I keep all my screens at the same height but pot height differs so my leg sizes differ -measure and cut legs -squash the ends of the pipe in a vice or heat up and flatten Step 10: -Screw legs onto frame Step 11 -Fasten frame to pot DONE Hope you guys enjoyed it and if i can make one persons life easier i am happy Cheers Reaf
  2. High Everyone I thought i would share my outdoor love with everyone that would like to stop by and have a look. My outdoor garden is divided into 2 section . My prime growing section is a fenced off section of 12m2 , this space was dug out and refilled with my own mix of living soil , 4 tons worth. These are my best outdoor ladies My other outdoor section i like to call the wild side , this is basicly the rest of the garden lol. The dogs can get to these plants and i let nature just do there thing with them. I have 3 big dogs that love to eat the outdoor ladies but dont do much damage , i call it dog stress training. I to this day can not train a swazi landrace as well as my 80kg boerboel lol. On the wild side of my outdoor i am just really running swazi landrace . I call it a landrace as i have been growing it since 1998 , the original beans were found in swaziland in a packet of the sickest rooibaard i have ever seen. Due to recent bad weather and flooding in my area my summer outdoor started later than i would have liked this year. This did put me in a position to test bodhi beans outdoor. I am testing 3 strains: Blue Dream x temple (temple = super silver haze x williams wonder) Tiger Temple (tiger= alpachia x green crack) Temple Lights ( 97 northern lights x Temple) Having a few issues getting pics up as i like to link it from photobucket and give captions on them, i will right but here are some pics of my garden and some of last years outdoor. From now on i will just post updated pics and no old ones in this log I hope u enjoyed the show for now , i will update as i go along

  13. Hi Is that ph level when it first comes out the tap or once its stood for 24h? You must never feed organic soil wager that has just come out the tap as it contains high amount of chlorine and will hurt the bacteria and fungi in the soil. This is my own personal view , other may not agree. I do not ajust my waters ph once settles it comes out at about 7. I feel that consistency is better that trying to always ajust the water. My soil has ph buffers in so the soil always stays a constant 6.5 ph. cheers Reaf
  14. High Everyone I have put up my outdoor playground already and that is where my love for the naturally grown cannabis plant lies but no one can dispute that indoor growing is where we can really get to play and manipulate this diverse plant to amazing levels. In this log i will log the life of 2 plants in my grow and what better ladies to start with on the strain hunters forums than with 1 flowerbomb kush and 1 white strawberry skunk. I have grown a few different ways but atm i am in scrog mode I am running a perpetual scrog , i always loved the idea of scrog but never really thought i could do it as i run many strains in a perpetual cycle , It then dawned on me to do a multi pot scrog. That way i could grow perpetually with multiple strains , move my ladies and still do a scrog Just a few specs of what i run: In my flower cab i run 600w hps , veg is 250w MH ( want to add another 250w MH but the sun is supplementing me for now) , Clone bubbler is 18w and the seedling and clone resting area is 120w induction and a 45w cfl. My scrog nets are 420mm x 420mm .i am maybe going to borrow a 270w led panel to try for flower but will see if this pans out. I make all my own living soils , i never finish my soil as i like to seed the new batch of soil with the old thereby preserving my soil life . To start with i would like to show you how i start my clones almost horizontally. As you can see from the first pic to the last pic how quickly it bushs out and by the time it reaches the screen it won't take long to full Next i would like to just show some of my scrog i got going atm Before the net went on Now on to the main long event , pull up a chair roll a few fatties and enjoy the show as it follows the life of FBK and WSS through my grow. They will be topped and trained into mother plants then the clones will be scrogged. Some might say you shouldn't or can't scrog certain plants but follow me and i will show that any lady can be scrogged . As we go along i will entertain you with some of the other scroggs i have going but i would like to focus on the GHS ladies. 3 days from germination Day 5 WSS FBK Thanks for stopping by and reading my ramblings Reaf PS updates to follow
  15. Hi I am not to sure why she did it , I repotted her into a bigger pot and it stopped. She has to be one of the easiest plants I have grown , easy to clone and just a very vigorous grower. Cheers Reaf
  16. Did u leave them to germinate for 2 weeks or were they in a medium for 2 weeks? If in a medium , what medium? Cheers Reaf

About us

Strain Hunters is a series of documentaries aimed at informing the general public about the quest for the preservation of the cannabis plant in the form of particularly vulnerable landraces originating in the poorest areas of the planet.

Cannabis, one of the most ancient plants known to man, used in every civilisation all over the world for medicinal and recreational purposes, is facing a very real threat of extinction. One day these plants could be helpful in developing better medications for the sick and the suffering. We feel it is our duty to preserve as many cannabis landraces in our genetic database, and by breeding them into other well-studied medicinal strains for the sole purpose of scientific research.
