  1. Hi, I have 4 seeds of ladyburn 1974, I bought 5 but gave one to my friend. I will be growing them in my greenhouse. I sprouted them in plastic cups and transplanted them in 3.5 l smart pots. For about 10 days they were growing under my ordinary room lamp, which I use for reading, and now they are in my greenhouse. I don't have the equipment for indoor growing, but I will buy some when i have more money, that is why they were under 60w lamp. I know they need much more light, but that is all I could give them this moment. I will put some pictures I've taken recently.
  2. Hello guys, it's been a while since I updated my jurnal... I didn't post more pictures because I have real trouble taking pictures in greenhouse, it's really hot and moist in there, so I had some problems with the plants, because of the neighbours I can not put ventilators, and it was 38 C temperature these days here... But I told myself, I will do better next year, better preparations and better growing. I can tell you that the plants are twice the size now comparing to the posted pictures, they are really bushy and dense, and the tallest is about 1m60cm high! I guess they will flower in middle of august or beggining of septembre, so the have little less than two months to grow. I ordered powder feeding hybrids, it was released by customs, so I am expecting it to arrive every day, can't wait! On friday I go to holiday, so I won't be here for 10 days, but, when I come back, I promise I will put new pictures! Until then, goat boy out.
  3. As I promised, here are some new photos. Babies have really grown!!
  4. Hello again guys, I will be posting more photos soon, I will go to my plants in a few days, or maybe even tonight. I have a question though. For next year I would like to buy a growbox, but I don't know to setup it. I wanted to buy hydro-mars led panel/s, and secret jardin orca tent, and this part i understand, but I don't know how to setup fan and aluflex, waht parts do I really need? Growbox and led panel/s I understand, what other parts for growbox do I need, as I said, I am not planing to use MH/HPS lights and ballasts and reflectors. Please can someone answer? I will be posting new pictures soon, I hope they grew up, didn't see my babies for more than ten days.
  5. Hello guys, I took some more photos of plants, I hope you like them. I don't know when they will start flowering, I live on north hemisphere, I guess middle of august or beginning of september, so they have two-two and a half months of vegetative period. Here are the photos.
  6. Really nice plants! I have a question about topping. Is it necessary to do the topping, because, when I look at my plants they seem not to have the top that is really big and it doesn't seem to bother the rest of the plant, so I didn't do it. Did I go wrong? Your babies look really healthy! I hope they bring you good yield.
  7. Hello guys, today I went to my village again, and I have some new photos. It has been rainy couple of days, so it has been muddy in greenhouse, so photos are not perfect, but it was the best I could do. Here they are, babies have grown a bit, it has been 4 days since I took photos last time. I didn't do the topping, because the top of the plant is not to big. My grandmother put something on the soil to prevent insects, I don't know what it is. If you have suggestions, advice or any comment, please do. See ya, till next time, goatboy out.
  8. Cannabissapean thank you for your post, I will be doing topping next time I go to my village. I watched a video on youtube about everything you mentioned, learned a lot. thanx again. FIM, thank you for your post also, I think I will buy only Hybrid PF this year, for next, probably both. See ya, goatboy out.
  9. And here are the pics of them transplanted directly in the soil. It was quite a job I must confess, I thought it would be much easier to transpant them, you have to watch out not to damage their roots, and to prepare the site for transplanting. I watered them after they have been transplanted, and I HOPE they will be fine. Here are the photos. And I have a question. I am thinking of buying powder feeding for ladyburn, and I have a question. Do you use hybrid powder feeding only for flowering period and for vegetative stage you use powder feeding for mother plants, or you can use hybrid mix through all periods of growth? Hesi fertilizer is fine, but since ladyburn is greenhouse seed, I am seriously thinking of buying powder feeding. Goatboy out.
  10. Hi guys, today I went to village and some changes have been made. First I will upload pictures of plants from smartpots, and then I will upload pictures when I transplanted them directly in the soil. I guess they have been stressed a bit, but my grandmother assures me they will be ok. So, I am uploading the pictures, and if you have any comments and advice or suggestions, you are more than welcome. Also, sorry for the quality of pictures, I take photos with my phone, and greenhouse is small so there is no space for good photos. Next set of photos, if everything goes well with the plants, will be for about 14 days when I go to my village again. Until next time, goatboy out.
  11. Life doesn't imitate life, it imitates bad television.

  12. I am not afraid of death, I just don't want to be there when it happens.

  13. People on this forum are great. Only marijuana matters, everything else is not important. Welcome!
  14. Thanx for this amazing post! With you guys, I will become excellent grower. Next year, I will be using powder feeding, I read it gives great results!! Till next time, goatboy out
  15. Thanx Ganja XL for comments and advice, it is much appriciated. Last year I messed up my grow with Arjan's Haze 3, but this year it is already going better! I think it is not enought just to read about it, you have to start growing and to face the problems for real to learn how to grow. I guess every mistake is valuable, because after you have made a mistake, you learn how you should have done. I will be posting new pictures on the weekend maybe sooner, don't know yet. I called my grandmother 30 minutes ago, she says the plants are growing, there are no more grass and weed around them, it has been taken care of. See you soon
  16. Sex without love is meaningless experience, but as far as meaningless experiences go it's pretty damn good.

  17. Thank you FIM for your post very much!! Every suggestion and advice is much appriciated, especially when you are a beginner grower like myself. In some of the previous posts, I said that I told my grandmother to water the plants every day!?! I myself realized that it wasn't a good idea. Then I read something on the internet that roots need oxygen, so I watered the plants with pure water on Sunday, and told my grandmother not to water them for 7 days, so they can get enough oxygen. I am thinking of watering them twice a week. I am learning still, and I guess I made a beginner's mistake of overwatering and overfeeding. I will change that. On 1st June I will be transplanting them directly in the soil, so no big smartpots this year, maybe next year!? I have to prepare myself with equipment. I guess they will go into flowering in middle of august, maybe before!?! Nevertheless, I am looking forward... If I have realized something in life, it's that growing cannabis plants, is better than sex, and every other knowable pleasure known to mankind. When I grow my babies, I feel like I am in heaven.
  18. I don't know what started eating them. My grandmother said that they were fine last time she watered them. Insects didn't touch tomatos! Even insects have good taste I was worried yesterday, but I guess they will grow fine. Today I got a call from police, because I ordered cannabis oil from the Netherlands for my sick uncle. A.C.A.B. That is all I have to say. All cops are bastards!! I hope it will be nothing serious. Till next time.
  19. Hello all. I just got back from my village, and as I promised, I will be uploading some new photos. I have to say, I am pretty disturbed and depressed, because I saw some insects ate some leaves from the plants. If anyone has some suggestion how to deal with them, please say it. Plants have grown a bit since I took the photos last time. So here are the pictures.
  20. Hello Ganja XL, thank you fro posting. I am pretty sure that there is no clay in the soil I am using, but the problem might be overfeeding. As I said, during the week I am in my town, so my grandmother feeds them, and I told her to feed them every day!? Maybe I made the mistake. I am thinking of watering them every other day, and to feed them every other watering, maybe they will be better. Tomorrow I will go to my village, so I will make some more photos, and I will be posting again. Concerning the perlites, I was thinking of that, but in my country we don't have hydro stores, only option is to buy through paypal... You said it nicely, I just grow and see what happens I don't have the tools to measure Ph and Ec, but when I have some money, I will buy some measurement toold for sure. Last year, I grew Arjan's Haze 3, I had 10 seeds, but my grandmother through away 9 of them and planted just one in our greenhouse. She told me about one planted seed in september last year, so I started feeding her only then, and in the end I harvested only 165g. She was 220cm tall. This year my grandmother is more soft, so I hope she doesn't cut my babies As I said, I will be posting new pictures tomorrow. See ya all, bye
  21. Thank you for your replies. It does seem that the smallest one has something on her leaves. I don't know what is it, but she was smaller from the beginning than her sisters. They are fed with Hesi fertilizers TNT Complex, Power Zyme and Hesi Vit, do you have any suggestions to make her feel better? I did remove the weed from the smartpots, and I did put some more earth in pots. I thought to plant them outside the greenhouse on 1st June, but for security reasons, I will probably plant them directly in the ground inside the greenhouse.
  22. Hello, I want to salute you all, and I hope we can become friends. I am a beginner grower, and I found a lot of nice information on this forum. Keep up the good work.
  23. Hi all, I went to my village yesterday and I took some new photos, so here they are. It has been sunny over here, and babies are safe and sound in my greenhouse. They have everything they need. If anyone has some advice or suggestion, I am happy to hear it. Until next time.
  24. Hello Gordon, thank you for answering my post, it is really kind of you . Now, I will answer the questions you asked. Concerning the soil, it is the soil from my property in my village. The soil that I put in smartpots, was taken near a pigsty, where my grandparents have two pigs. My grandmother chose it, because she has experience with agriculture, and I take her advice. We sieved the earth, and put it in smartpots. Earth in my village and on my property is generally good, because my grandparents have a garden there, and have several greenhouses with tomatoes, cucumbers and other cultures, so the earth was no problem. Concerning the climate, in my country there is a mixture of continental and mediterranian climate, we have cold winters and very hot summers with drought. That is why greenhouses are good because you can control the climate and because of irrigation. Concerning the weeds in smartpots, I saw it myself, and will do something about it. My problem is I live in a town, and my babies are in my village, so I go there on weekends, and my grandmother takes care of them during the week. She is a very good grandmother , I couldn't have had a better one! I will do something about the earth in smartpots, maybe put some extra earth in, to shut the holes. I use Hesi fertilizer, momentarily Hesi TNT Complex, Hesi Power Zyme, and Hesi Vit. I told my grandmother to water them every day when there is heavy sun, and not to water when it rains. I will let the grow in smartpots for another 20 days, and then, I will be transplanting them directly in the earth. I will be doing that around 1st June. I will be posting new pictures when I go to my villager next time, it will be maybe in 10 days. I hope you like my plants. Thank you again for your post, it really means a lot to me. See ya

About us

Strain Hunters is a series of documentaries aimed at informing the general public about the quest for the preservation of the cannabis plant in the form of particularly vulnerable landraces originating in the poorest areas of the planet.

Cannabis, one of the most ancient plants known to man, used in every civilisation all over the world for medicinal and recreational purposes, is facing a very real threat of extinction. One day these plants could be helpful in developing better medications for the sick and the suffering. We feel it is our duty to preserve as many cannabis landraces in our genetic database, and by breeding them into other well-studied medicinal strains for the sole purpose of scientific research.
