hey folks - sorry that you not going gaz. Amsterdam looking super exciting and already people are puring into town. There great people about including tommy chong, Marc and Jody Emery and many others and a bucket load of extract artists from the US. I ll be around (the first time since 2006) and looking forward to meeting anyone from the forum. There some real cool things including a free boat between the Green house Harlemaar and GH Centrum and loads of vapour bags. I intend breaking the dabbing ban in the expo as the Greenhouse ice is dabbing beautifully. How can torches and rigs not be allowed in the expo if all i going to dab is solventless icesolator hash?? Anyway its one i forgot ask high times about but will. Its really nice to see so many participants putting so much into this cup.

In Africa outdoors growers really rate the exodus cheese , super lemon haze/lemon skunk. Especially good for in exspierienced growers. The exodus has performed incredibly interms of mold resistance giving an incredible flavor and making cheese one of South Africa's favorite strains. The ams also goes well here if in healthy soil - massive collar s if you let it get large. However it handles less well than the lemon and cheese in a rough environment if abused. Baba kush , jack h, Haiwain snow are also really popular time after time with out growers. However here there loads of sun here and so it's more comparable with Southern Europe but for northern and central your issue is sun. I would try exodus ,super lemon h, lemon skunk. Maybe some kushes (baba or afgoey). Also don't right of autos -I did at first - but people all over the world are loving them. I be seen growers achieve great results here in early spring on 11 hours of light!

Bambole - The product going in was kush grown from clone in the massive greenhouses - really high quality - the extraction system was the massive machine using ice and regular pollinator bags. The raw dried isolator lying in the room was like cream - you grabbed a bit and squished it into tofee in moments. We did not get to see the product pressed through other systems except in our own hands - but for sure you starting with really good quality resin to get this. Having said that the machine made something unreal - you see how it stretches in the movie......there have been concerns that systems results in some loss - especially if you where making small amounts but here it dosent. Whats critical is the size and quality of the meat grinder - and how its maintained. I believe thay went through a good number of grinders to find the best. But it seem s to be a crazy good way of pressing - something so soft and toffee comes out - and it s stays soft - even more than charas. We did not get to sample local landrace hash. Probably bcs we had massive amounts of the above and where smoking so much landrace bud. Very similar to charas produced in Jamaica - I wonder if the relative moisture in these areas helps make the product so soft. Charas in jaimaica is really really good.

The riot at the end of the movie We were in a total of two mini riots - the 1 st was within an hour and a half of arriving in bogota - but more about that one later (maybe). The second was in StMarta about half way in the trip - after violence between para military groups had prevented us from gaining access to fields the day before we were ecstatic to be able to get the green light to get into the fields (including the one where we could film in the doccie where we find Punta Roja). Later we left and went to a beach party where we found ourselves amongst some of the richest of colombia. It was a bit of a mind fuck coming from the friendly poor peasant farmers and we soon left and it became dark. The road back was rough unsealed but passed through some poorer ghettos. I fell asleep and woke to the car stopping violently - I was in the back so peered out the window and noticed what looked like an accident - it seemed arjan's suv had hit a motorbike. I plucked myself out looking for my shoes but noticed people carrying tyres and barricades and petrol. I left the shoes and ran around arjan's truck and was met by hundreds of eyes looking into mine for any sign of fear. I smiled and bcs i must have been quite an unusual sight (shoeless with grin) a hundred mouth grinned back at me. Elgato emerged from the crowd and explained that the areas power had been disconnected and that the village was blocking the road until the mayor came and reconnected them. They would let only us through because we where ganja growers .....and bcs we would take there message to the world.

Greetings all I to am waiting patiently but excitedly for the first part of this doccie = definitely the most crazy mind fucking trip we ever been on. We en counted an incredible weed scene - a heart breaking political and social situation and the wonderful and resilient peoples of Colombia. Yes there was danger and yes we went into the heart of it - but it was so worth it... Pics below 1) Travel is tricky - heading into the active combat zone with Arijan and Mr x. We utilised multiple car changes and low key vehicles to disguise our movements and cover our tracks. (2 and 3 ) Getting seen buy the wrong dude taking pics........

For the fourth year in a row we where lucky to have Jessika Violet running the stand - Jessika is a model and activist and warrior for the plant...... basically like uber stoner goddess with a heart of gold she also knows LOADS about growing and pot in canada. Her knowledge of the plant and the local growing conditions was really helpful in ensuring people linked up with the right seeds. If you wanna see more of jessika check out her facebook fan page JessiKa Violet (umm warning she s even more beautiful in person)

the crew Our success in canada was made possible buy our fantastic canadian greenhouse crew. Jessika, John and Laura went all out to make it happen smooth and ensure we reached the masses of happy people that crowded our stand. John did a mammoth job with seeds even on 4 edibles and loads of wax and bud

About us
Strain Hunters is a series of documentaries aimed at informing the general public about the quest for the preservation of the cannabis plant in the form of particularly vulnerable landraces originating in the poorest areas of the planet.
Cannabis, one of the most ancient plants known to man, used in every civilisation all over the world for medicinal and recreational purposes, is facing a very real threat of extinction. One day these plants could be helpful in developing better medications for the sick and the suffering. We feel it is our duty to preserve as many cannabis landraces in our genetic database, and by breeding them into other well-studied medicinal strains for the sole purpose of scientific research.
