  1. I am weaning off valium which was given to me by my doc because it is the protocol when getting off of ativan...which I was taking for about 6-7 yrs because of anxiety due to serious medical issues. I became aware of CBD oil and started taking these gel caps about 4 months ago along with the drug withdrawals. It was supposedly a NON Cannatonic that I was initially getting with high CBD and low THC because I do not like the stoned feeling. I just want something to help me with the w/d symptoms of painful muscle spasms, anxiety, heart pounding, etc that occur because of the valium. I am taking 8.5 mgs of valium now and it is cut by 1.2 mg a week. My issue is that the guy I have been getting the gel caps from just a few days ago gave me cannatonic and said 'it's the same thing as what you've been taking'. Nope. The cannatonic has lecitchin in it. The CBD/THC caps had olive oil. For some reason...and maybe this is not so uncommon....I feel nauseated, clammy. sweaty, heart pounding and generally crummy after taking this cannatonic. How can it be the same stuff? He says it is a 1:1 ratio. Whatever. The CBD/THC caps NEVER made me feel ill, just relaxed. Withdrawing from valium can cause muscle spasms and cramps, and I have fibromyalgia as well so don't need this extra stuff that makes me feel like I have the flu. It is giving me diarrhea as well. I took the cannatonic this morning and it is now evening and is finally wearing off...I feel ok now, no nausea, no sweating, no hypotension, not feeling tired. I took one of my regular CBD/THC caps a little while ago that I am running low on and felt better almost immediately. I would not have bought this last cannatonic but the guy said 'its the same stuff as the caps you've been taking'. He's getting it back this week. When he first started selling this stuff he gave me a bottle of stuff labeled cannatonic and said 'try it' but I didn't and stuck to my regular capsules I was getting from him. I took the cannatonic to a herbalist/pharmacist person who said it could make me nauseated so take just a little. I took 1/4 teaspoon and am now totally turned off of this cannatonic stuff. I hope someone gets back to me on this. If I had the flu, I wouldn't feel good up untill I take some cannatonic! Flu does not come and go. This has been getting worse as the cannatonic built up in my system...the first day was ok and that was Wednesday. Is there some way I can be sure I am getting high CBD and low THC quality capsules? I cannot make my own oil, and it is not legal where I live. But there is NO way I could have gotten this far getting off valium without the wonderful low THC and high CBD capsules (not cannatonic!) that I've been taking for at least 4 months now. Any help, advice is very appreciated. My husband smokes and has for years but I cannot smoke it- makes me cough too much. Vaporizers not as good as the caps. Thanks and glad I found this forum. Some of the messages are old so I hope this site is still up and working. I think it is ridiculous to have to do cloak and dagger stuff to get medicine that works to help get me off big pharma drugs. THEY are the criminals.
  2. Newbie to this whole thing - so hello to all! Hope to see you on the forums. I have a lot of questions! suzanne

About us

Strain Hunters is a series of documentaries aimed at informing the general public about the quest for the preservation of the cannabis plant in the form of particularly vulnerable landraces originating in the poorest areas of the planet.

Cannabis, one of the most ancient plants known to man, used in every civilisation all over the world for medicinal and recreational purposes, is facing a very real threat of extinction. One day these plants could be helpful in developing better medications for the sick and the suffering. We feel it is our duty to preserve as many cannabis landraces in our genetic database, and by breeding them into other well-studied medicinal strains for the sole purpose of scientific research.
