Thanks for all your comments. When I start a new grow I will post it here guys.

I tried a small sample of the OHS, and while not even properly cured yet, I don't normally get the full effects of my buds till at least 5 weeks have passed but the effects of the OHS can be summed up in the pic below

Hi Ghost, thanks for stopping by. Yes nothing beats the satisfaction of smoking your own dank that you grew yourself and the OHS and purple kush came out really well, just wish there was more of it is all LOL.. The purple kush is really frosty as hell, break it open and its tons of crystals inside the bud. Going to let them cure now for around five weeks before smoking any as from experience I have found that this is the magical moment when something happens to the buds and peak potency kicks in, I think some say this is the moment the buds get de-carboxylated. I need to rethink and redesign my entire grow though. Considering I was using 580w of mixed Led and Hps lighting in a 3ft x 2ft space I was counting on harvesting a bit more than I got.

Ok time for the final update. After hanging for 5 days to dry and another five days in paper bags after trimming the final results are in. Have to admit Im a bit disappointed with the results as the freaky OHS cut down on my yield but I will have to redesign my grow in future, probably get myself a proper grow tent. Anyway the Purple kushes together weighed in at 94.7 grams dry and the normal OHS came in at 38.5 grams dry, I didn't bother weighing the other OHS as hardly anything to weigh and its all going in my trim. The first pic is of the OHS in a jar and the pic of the 2 jars is of the purple kushes.

Decided to take them down today at day 55. Trichs on the purple kushes were mostly cloudy with some amber. Besides that I noticed signs of mould developing on one of the purple kushes yesterday and had to take off a cola and salvage what I could, hehe. Will post some final weights when they are all dry. Hope you have all enjoyed the grow.

Hi Dust ! Thanks for the compliment, looks like we are in the home stretch now. Not a lot to update at the moment but I have made a few minor changes today at day 50 of flower. I have taken out the LEDs and whacked the HPS up to 600w for the last 2 weeks or so of flower and keep my fingers crossed the heat isn't too great. Gave them the last feed today too so its going to be nothing but plain water from now.

Good news people ! The good folks over at Dutch Passion have very kindly offered me a free 3 pack of seeds to compensate for the disappointment of this genetically mutated OHS which is pretty decent of them. Day 45 of flower and things are still progressing. Leaves are gradually starting to yellow now and hopefully in the next couple of weeks the buds should start packing on some weight.

I just finished updating my thread on the 420magazine forum and thought I better update here too. Now exactly six weeks into flower and hopefully another 2 to 3 weeks to go. Buds haven't started swelling yet as it is still mostly all white hairs although some are starting to brown off now. Have given up on the one OHS but I wont pull it as I thought I might as well make some hash oil out of it (its about all its good for). I bought a five pack of the OHS and germinated these two. I really hope the remaining three beans don't turn out like this one. The above pic shows the purple kushes and the dodgy OHS from the side.

I just had a close look at the taller of the two orange hill specials and I have to say I am pretty disappointed in its development so far. Its miles behind the other OHS in bud formation/development. Although it looks quite thick and dense in the pics (side view) this is because its so leafy and not down to bud formation. I thought Dutch Passion said this strain has been stabilised over 6 generations ? Guess I lucked out on that one. So far all its showing are these tiny stubby pistils and not very many of them at that compared to the other OHS, and at nearly 40 days of flowering too. Im in two minds to pull it to make more space for the others.

I can now see some purpling beginning to take place on one of the purple kushes and its also beginning to get resiny just about halfway through flowering. I managed to take some pics with the lights off.
-
Hey ! I see purple leaflets starting to show on the purple kush. Lovely jubbly

Hi everybody, time for a quick update. Not a lot happening at the moment. Bud formation is ongoing and not really much to see. The fun starts after week 6 or so when the buds have actually formed and are starting to fatten up. At the moment you just see tons of white hairs everywhere. Will next update when they have developed a bit more.

some more pics for day 29 of flowering.

Day 26 and my babies are coming along nicely, bud formation is coming along nicely. One of the OHS it seems is a predominantly sativa pheno judging by how its flowering, I can see short little pistils starting to form on it now, hope she doesn't take too long to finish but she could also hopefully be a big yielder should be interesting to see how it develops, compared to the other OHS which is already developing tight bunches of pistils and forming bud structures.

Not much to update, plants are still developing ok, although a bit concerned about one of the OHS as it seems to be lagging a bit behind the other one in pistil formation. Will keep an eye on it for now it seems healthy and lush enough. I have grown what turned out to be two duds before in my time, one a freebee Afghani that never developed any buds and one a World of seeds Space that again never flowered anything even after 8 weeks, so I hope this doesn't turn out that way as well, still Dutch Passion has pretty good genetics so I shall have to wait and see. Now on day 24 of flower.
About us
Strain Hunters is a series of documentaries aimed at informing the general public about the quest for the preservation of the cannabis plant in the form of particularly vulnerable landraces originating in the poorest areas of the planet.
Cannabis, one of the most ancient plants known to man, used in every civilisation all over the world for medicinal and recreational purposes, is facing a very real threat of extinction. One day these plants could be helpful in developing better medications for the sick and the suffering. We feel it is our duty to preserve as many cannabis landraces in our genetic database, and by breeding them into other well-studied medicinal strains for the sole purpose of scientific research.
