  1. h202?........wait until that pot is dry, pot it up and before watering gauge the weight of the pot, water in well, then only water again when the pot is almost dry or back to that inital weight wen you can gauge it, which will be soon enough.... with a 10ltr pot that should be every 3-4 days or 2-3 days depending on temp/humidty/air flow. Epsom Salts should only! be added when you see signs of a mag def, and there are no clear signs of that yet, simply looks hungry to me, how about keeping this forum one place where people dont just fire random ideas at people who are still in the process of learning to grow. I grow in a common mp compost since day 1 and have yet to check my ph, and not once have I had a ph related problem. Any decent will compost will buffer your ph Fuzzy is right, its simply hungry
  2. roger that, wasnt sure as I said so posted somewhere I knew it would help , someone really should pin this in the correct section though, it WILL prove invaluable around here
  3. I think this is a good place to post this, heads up for anyone who hasnt come across them yet , not even sure if Im allowed to post links here? apologies if not but it should be a sticky ! ;o) http://www.greenshorticulture.co.uk/Organics-36/Plant-Magic-490/ check out that essence people , its worth its weight in gold!
  4. how do you want to grow? what medium? hydro or soil? in my experience no matter how much you think you know , you know jack until you get that first one under your belt. I would advise you to start in soil , much more forgiving that hydro etc as you have that medium to act as a buffer, less ph and ec problems to worry about, but hey thats only my opinion. I use biobizz grow/bloom but you could also use their fishmix ALONE for the whole grow if cost is a factor( their fishmix is also fantastic as a foliar feed! plants LOVE IT! ). Lighting is up to you but I would also adivse something like a 250w hps at least to get decent flowering and density to your grow and they cost no more than going the cfl route if you had considered that , at that wattage ofc. And then you have extraction, depending on the size of your room youll want something tht either blows/sucks a sufficient amount of air to keep those girls happy and a oscillating fan to keep adequate circulation going inside. Grab some pots, from small 3 inch pots up to 6/11 ltr which will be big enough to cope with most initial grows. A decent compost and a decent 2 part feed( as I said biobizz are great and organic I believe) some seeds and of you go, keep temps 25-28 daytime and no lower than 18 at night, keep reading from decent sources! and remember, usually less is more ;o) oh a range of products I would fully recommend are Plant Magic, full range of products are excellent but especially their granules and THE ESSENCE STARTER KIT! imho a must for anyone and will keep your plants clean and healthy well into flowering! if you dont know about these products already then it wont be long until you do.
  5. curing as we speak bro, wont get tucked in for at least another week/2
  6. I expected this to be the first one down of the 3 seeds I popped from a mix pack, and boy I was not wrong. From the beginning this took of, I fimmed at 3 weeks(above 5th node) and vegged for one more giving me 14 nice heads Final pot up was into a 11 ltr (Westlands MP+)and after another week started feeds of biobizz fishmix/g+b, the plant doubled easily in flowering so be warned there is a little bit of stretch but after 2-3 week it calms down and starts budding nicely. Its a feeder, showing no signs of over feeding at any point no matter what I gave her (drank 3.5 ltr each watering, watered every 3-4 days, peak nutrient supply at 6/7 weeks 2mg grow and 4 mg bloom per litre), a small touch of mag def at 3 weeks into flower which was sorted with a one off misting with epsoms .After 9 weeks she was ready but took her 10 (25%amber 75%cloudy),there also seems to be some purple pheno in here with a nice redening to some of bud leaf late in flower...anyway in essence an very easy plant to grow, from what I see would be very forgiving on the new grower, responds well to topping/fimming though she does need support/yo-yo's for the final weeks flowering! Final product is some nice weed, very earthy, musky with undertones of catpiss or ammonia, good leaf/bud ratio and a lovely smoke, great first thing in the morning . Final weight is 2.2oz (after 8 days drying)
  7. thanks guys, exactly the info I was after
  8. and I've just noticed the strain info section, if some nice admin could pls move my message there I would be grateful ;o)
  9. Hey all, having just come into week 7 I am concerned about timings, I have one TW , one Cheese and one LS coming to fruition and am unsure as to the spectrum of trichs on all 3. With my previous ( yes only one) I harvested when there were still a few clear trichs visible ( I prefer more in the head high) , so with these 3 can I expect to see amber trichs a norm or will it be a sign of slightly overd ripe on all 3?
  10. fair play , my bad , those flowers are looking fine
  11. notice the little nute burn there?
  12. as the title says, just saying hi to all, good luck with the site guys

About us

Strain Hunters is a series of documentaries aimed at informing the general public about the quest for the preservation of the cannabis plant in the form of particularly vulnerable landraces originating in the poorest areas of the planet.

Cannabis, one of the most ancient plants known to man, used in every civilisation all over the world for medicinal and recreational purposes, is facing a very real threat of extinction. One day these plants could be helpful in developing better medications for the sick and the suffering. We feel it is our duty to preserve as many cannabis landraces in our genetic database, and by breeding them into other well-studied medicinal strains for the sole purpose of scientific research.
