I'm interested in learning everything there is to know about cannabis, especially the history of mankind's relationship with the plant. Also motorsport, I like motorsport, and skateboarding.

Hey mate Thanks for the warm welcome. I have got a few plants at the moment, just in a small cupboard grow, which is very disorganised at the moment due to recently having a few life changes and building a new grow set up. I have 3 Cannatonic clones which are about 2 weeks into flower, and I also decided to put their mother and my Tijuana mother(from Blimburn Seeds) in the flower area about a week ago too. I also had these 3 males in there which were from seed that I crossed last year, but when they revealed their sex I took them out of there and they're now just in my wardrobe under a 24w cfl to just keep them around until I decide what I'm going to do with them. I also have a bunch of clones in my little veg area that I took from the Cannatonic and Tijuana mothers before putting them into bud, which I plan on doing some breeding experiments with because even though I managed to safely import seeds into NZ once, I'm not sure exactly how safe it is and am not too keen to try my luck again, so I really need to reverse a clone and make myself some fem Cannatonic seeds to preserve what may be the only cbd genetics I have access to until we have legalisation in NZ. I really only risked importing seeds because my mother has an auto-immune disorder called Graves disease and from what I've learned about our cannabinoid receptors I'm sure a good mix of cbd/thc would be the most beneficial thing for her and when I imported the seeds (December 2015), that was the strain which seemed most likely to give me that balance. Even though I know some phenos don't have any cbd, I thought it was worth a shot. Regarding my favourite strains, personally I don't really know many other smokers, let alone dealers or growers so I don't have access to anything really, which is partly why I started growing my own. As far as I know in New Zealand we are so far behind the times and for the most part have such a basic weed culture that most people still just refer to different types of weed as "indoors" or "bushies"(outdoors). There's the odd person out there like me who follows and drools over what the rest of the developed world gets to indulge in strain-wise, but mostly when someone mentions a strain name in NZ it's the guy selling you the ounce trying to make an extra $50 off a name he's made up, or they'll just claim it's "white widow" or something, betting on you not knowing how to tell if he's lying, which most people (including me) couldn't. I really want to try so many GHS strains like all Arjan's Haze's, the Super Silver and Super Lemon Haze's, but I'm not sure about importing seeds again until we have some law reform here in NZ. Maybe I should move to Europe and try get a job with GHS or KiwiSeeds like that other guy who posted about that earlier.

Hey everyone, I'm just a dude from Aotearoa (New Zealand), here to share and learn growing practices and general herb culture with other minds in different parts of the globe, looking forward to hanging out with some like-minded people... choice.
About us
Strain Hunters is a series of documentaries aimed at informing the general public about the quest for the preservation of the cannabis plant in the form of particularly vulnerable landraces originating in the poorest areas of the planet.
Cannabis, one of the most ancient plants known to man, used in every civilisation all over the world for medicinal and recreational purposes, is facing a very real threat of extinction. One day these plants could be helpful in developing better medications for the sick and the suffering. We feel it is our duty to preserve as many cannabis landraces in our genetic database, and by breeding them into other well-studied medicinal strains for the sole purpose of scientific research.
