  1. so i was trying to breed some hashplant genetics with some green crackXgranddaddy purps (pink green crack ) the name was gunna be "purple hindu crack" due to the hashplant hindu kush , the purple , and the green crack , problem being all of my non feminised seeds came out females so im not going to be breeding anything ahahhahahahah but its kinda a good thing ?! most people pray to have 100% females , for me it kinda kyboshed my plans , so im going to try again in the spring , to wip up a dank genetic cocktail , i like the idea of where i was going with this , as green crack is my #1 sativa , and hindu kush is the best on your ass indica , , i thought they would make an amazing , combo , but im out of seeds , and finding pink green crack was a streak of luck as it was bag seeds that was like AAA haze , but somehow a few buds got pollinated so out of an OZ of herbs i got 6 seeds , im starting to plan for next year tho so lets talk about other theoretical hybrid combinations
  2. just suggesting it here in canada , more specifically BC there is tons of work going on in everything cannabis , we dont have any sort of landrace genetics , but there are growers who have bred their own genetics for years , your biggest problem would be finding the right people to take you behind the scenes into the underground , we have an underground market and an above ground market here , the above ground is turning more and more corporate , but there are people keeping the roots alive , BC bud is pretty well known around the world , due to our climate , mostly hybrids are grown here , alot of autoflowering varieties due to the cold winter , and the need to crop out earlier , there is alot of outdoor growing done , but also alot of indoor , visit saltspring island ( the golf islands in general ), and maybe do a trip east , saltspring , is a small island of maybe 2-5000 people , is was a hidout for draft dodgers , and a healing island for the native americans ,
  3. what can i say , cannabis saved my life , inshallah excited to join the community and hopefully share ,learn , and grow;) picture is of my first plant , genetics unknown , I have a freind who won a cannabis cup , back in the early 2000s , i can blame/thank him , for getting me interested in the world of cannabis breeding iv also helped out in a few grow spaces , and smoked with some of the founding fathers of the vancouver scene

About us

Strain Hunters is a series of documentaries aimed at informing the general public about the quest for the preservation of the cannabis plant in the form of particularly vulnerable landraces originating in the poorest areas of the planet.

Cannabis, one of the most ancient plants known to man, used in every civilisation all over the world for medicinal and recreational purposes, is facing a very real threat of extinction. One day these plants could be helpful in developing better medications for the sick and the suffering. We feel it is our duty to preserve as many cannabis landraces in our genetic database, and by breeding them into other well-studied medicinal strains for the sole purpose of scientific research.
