Hello man, well for sure the plant has something going wrong but doesnt look like she will die shortly neither. taking away the leaves was a mistake, but its done. If the leaves were all yellow when you took them off your plant probably has some problem to eat correctly, from the color of your trunk that is purplish, if you are not having super cold nights where the plant is, it can mean two things, you have a PH problem in your soil or watering water, or the plant is really missing food. Do you control PH a little and do you give her food? and try to make a nice pic of the soil to see if its not too compacted.
