Just wanted to know what is the best mix of cocco and perlite. They get watered from the bottom if that helps so they have to wick it up. They are in 10ltr pots in a tray and i am busy with work so doing this side grow the lazy way.

A couple of pics of one of the white lemons i had to cull, 9 weeks done and still a bit white but need meds and still have a few left to go a bit longer. Great taste and flavour and a real hard hitter!!!! 250 watt then 400 for the last 4 weeks flower so not a bad take and these are from seed so no more smoko for now as i had a bad go with the clones and they got massacred lol. Thank you franco for the experience and please give us a go at your next cup. Will sure document.

Just wanted to ask as i have a few kcbrains autos that are starting to bud up and one of them is a male. If i leave them together will they make auto seeds since all the plants are auto? Also I have some nice big bang in my tent and am thinking of breeding with the auto for a bit of fun, will half of the seeds be auto as well?? Just not sure how it works guys any help is appreciated.

Hi guys I decided to do it by the rules on this grow and see what the difference is compared to when i grow in coir/perlite. I am doing this in an auto pot system with straight perlite and in the past i havent had a problem but after watching the grow vids for Big Bang it said ph at 5.5.. Are they serious? I have stunted plants with nute probs etc and i think it is because of this. I usually do it at 6.5 average with no probs but i am doing what franco said... I am now going to bud mixture while still in vege in case of bad nutes.. Any feedback would help as i am just about to go back to 6.5 and totally scrap the grow and waste more money on GHS... Dont worry about how floppy they are i just gave them a good flush... Cheers

Hi guys i have 2 big bang under a 400 hps in a tent and i have been having it on 12/12 for 2.5 weeks and it still isnt showing sign of turning to flower? IS this normal? Yeh it is heaps bushier but no flower development? What to do guys? I have no light leaks and all is good vegetively. Yes before comment they dried out a bit on top for a sec last night when my pump failed lol.

Hi guys just writing to ask if you know what is wrong with my clones. They are big bang and have been great for a week then all of a sudden they have started yellowing off. They are not showing roots yet. Is it just they need a light feed??? Cant do another set of clones as the bang is in to flower too much...

they seem to be going well. I have a mates property up the aussie bush that he has just dug out with a back hoe and filled with farming soil so hopefully i will get good 10 ft bangers

Wow thank you zub0 very interesting, not quite the answer but it puts me on the right track lol. just wanted to have some fun with male pollen.

just sprayed them with 50/50 nutes / water. Will keep you informed.. Thank you mate.

YEh guys i thought about taking another 1/2 hr off and all is good now. They did stretch a fair bit but wow the buds are comming on nice. After having some trouble they should produce ok now. Thanx for your help guys and will continue to show, I think i am just a bit rusty after not growing for a while...
-
Yeh dust it has stretched, almost straight up with no side branching compared to what it had. will take a pic later tonight and give you a look. It looks strange as it is going straight up instead of out like others. If they dont do much i will know to try somethig different. YAY 200 POSTS!!!

Oh and it has preflowered it is 18 inches high!!! Did they change the genetics? O is it a bummer? Love the company but now i am fucked for another 3 months.. Money over meds hope herbie hasnt got old stock
-
All up 8 -10 weeks? So greenhouse plants have a regime for flowering??? Any other strain all has been good but now i am going to be out of meds for another 10 weeks.. hmm
-
Does anyone know if attitude sell to australia? I normally go through herbies for freebies but thought i might try something different.

Also for vege, working heaps better. The buckets have heaps of drilled holes in the bottom and are exactly the same size as the hyro pack containers that they came with but a little higher but still cool and cheaper.
-
I think it was the grow nutes as they were a budget brand but i bought some Rock Ignight and they are doing heaps better buti upped the ph to around 6.2.. Had a bit of burn as the water ran low as we have 35 deg days here atm

Um just came across these in my hideyhole from yrs ago..... I think it is an excellent score from when i was a mod on the medseed project with other mods such as marco renda and shantibaba. My question is what is the best way to try and germ old seeds.... these things are 10 yrs lol so prob no chance in hell but i wanna try... Change of staples on two side but i think i halved the 10 pack to someone else but cant exactly remember... Damn small seeds though.

Hi guys i dont know how much of a journal this will be but will update at least once a week. I was graciously given 10 white lemon seed from the god Franco back in March 2011. I did an outdoor grow that a beginner can do with little time left of the season and it turned out very cool .... almost an auto grow. http://www.strainhun...-updated-24311/ This time i am back with more seed left from that time ( no money for new ones lol). 2 plants under a small 250 watt hps veged for 5 weeks and now in flower for a week and a bit. I am using cocco and perlite with ROCK nutrients. Here is my first pic of the difference between the two and just tipped today. Sativa V's Indica. The second is the diff in stretch Sativa is alot taller with bigger nodes. The last is the Indica, going to be nice and bushy.... Gonna be fun and yes the nute burn was from working a 50 hr night shift week lol. If any mods read this tell me when a new cup is on as would love to try new strains.

Hi guys, Just wanted some answers to two questions. It is almost the middle of winter here in oz and i am on the east coast near the beach and we dont get frosts. It can get down to 8 deg c or so at night or about your 50 f. If i germ autos indoors can i take them out and use the sun as they have no photoperiod? Also the other question is if i buy 10 reg seeds and get half males and if i pick the most robust one if it pollinates the girls will they also be autos? that way i can stagger plant every two weeks or so for a small perpetual grow in my yard from the new seed and just les as i will have heaps of seed..... I am a bit stoned so i hope you guys understand me lol. Just dont want to wait till the end of summer in 9 months lol... And i wont buy fem autos as i dont have funds just to have one go and not get a clone etc... cheers guys please help

Hi guys i have grown white lemon from Franco in my yard during the change from summer to winter. I have been absent for a yr or so due to illness but I AM BACK AND FEELING GOOD!!! I just checked my fridge and found 6 seeds left from when franco gave them to me heaps ago at the start of the testing. I n that attempt i wanted to show that you can grow good pot and have no experience. ( ) Yes i do have experience but alot dont and i just think the newbies might have seen the post interesting. Now I have 6 sprouted and ready for vege and this one is an indoor grow for the newbie with the basics to make the hyro cheap and worth it over soil. But!!! Is this strain still a testing event!!!!

These are my chillis that i am into atm... I love the superhots. Love gardening as well, any kind of vegetables and even some flowers.

Hey guys is this normal or am i a lucky SOB? These Rhino from my flavour wheel are oozing resin already.. Tell the truth as i havent seen this before.
-
They are great Pete. They get really frost really quickly and the smell is manageable. It is a very potent strain and if you have good ventilation it stays very compact with small node spaces. The taste is great and it hits you in the back of the head with a lump of wood feel lol.

Just wanted to say wow.... It's great to be back

Ok guys here goes, First up i have designed this grow in a way that a newbie who just recieved a bunch of seeds and winter is comming and cant wait till next season to plant a couple of seeds. I will be using very basic materieals to show that any newbie can do this kind of thing. Ok a month or so ago I popped some white lemon into some cocco pots and germed them up. I have had them placed outside from day one and 3 out of 5 popped. I have been growing them in cocco coir and now i am just about to transplant them into their final pots. They will be grown using normal potting mix with mixtures of broken down horse sheet and some coir to help retain a bit of moisture. They will not be going into huge containers just normal 2 ltr garden pots. I dont want them too big as it is autmn here and the window is closing on the growing season. Ok 3-4 weeks have gone by and now to show you the pics of the ladies before transplant. I have included a picture from out the back of my NL special that was crossed with a male NL special. As you can see by the size of the bud (only 15 inch plant) it is what i am hoping to achieve with the White Lemon. I will update this for next week after i transplant.
About us
Strain Hunters is a series of documentaries aimed at informing the general public about the quest for the preservation of the cannabis plant in the form of particularly vulnerable landraces originating in the poorest areas of the planet.
Cannabis, one of the most ancient plants known to man, used in every civilisation all over the world for medicinal and recreational purposes, is facing a very real threat of extinction. One day these plants could be helpful in developing better medications for the sick and the suffering. We feel it is our duty to preserve as many cannabis landraces in our genetic database, and by breeding them into other well-studied medicinal strains for the sole purpose of scientific research.
