  1. Hopes to cleans them of coco & perlite dust, pest bodies & shits, hair, general bits & pieces. Trichomes are still attached which was my main worry.
  2. Ice Cream harvested today. I also bud-washed the plant with a cup of lemon juice and a cup of baking soda mixed in luke warm water (24l), and then rinsed off in luke warm water (24l) & hung out to drip dry in the HPS tent with the light on and fans on them. Trichomes are still attached (Woohoo!), and nice and shiny. Happy Washing & Rinsing!
  3. @mungbean79 never give up until their crispy dead all over. Look at my two - they should be dead and buried. This 'weed' is a tenacious little plant. I'll get around to teas one day. Happy Growing (I've just washed Ice Cream in lemon & baking soda [and rinsed] - scary as f'!)
  4. 5c! That's going to grab their attention and get your heart racing Liking your soil amendments as well, it's like a witches brew. Girls look great.
  5. Highlander looking wonderful @LedCherryBerry, thick foundation stalk and nice canopy. I thought I'd responded yesterday but must have just dreamt that. Leafy (and other resources) says WR does not stretch very much (compared to other strains), so you should be ok high wise. I guess we'll all find out Happy Growing!
  6. I think that's a good call. Looking at the reviews of White Indica, she has a short flowering time, so you do want her nice and big and well trained in veg so that when she flips into flower and stretches she has the right structure to flower on and the vertical stems are a decent distance apart so when their colas fatten up, they're not disturbing each other. I always think of a Jewish menorah when trying to build a plant structure. Happy Growing!
  7. Hi @lifehacker, 20l is big enough for that tent I think. When I see leafs going over the side of the pot, I have a yearning to re-pot , but that's just me. Maybe give her one more week of veg with LSTing, then switch to 12/12 (transition) on Day 50 of veg. Transition could be up to a couple of weeks before she starts showing flowers/sex. My last lot took 18 days. Some strains show flower after only a few days in Transition. Happy Growing!
  8. She's looking lovely @lifehacker. Very healthy and filling out nicely from what I can see. By the looks of things, she's not alone in the 1.02m2x2.03m tent. How many more plants are in there? When you transition to flowering by switching to 12/12 will depend on how much space you have. If you have space and can grow a big plant, perhaps think of repotting into a bigger pot and vegging/LSTing for a couple more weeks to fill out your 1.02m2 tent. If you have multiple plants in that tent, perhaps you could transition to flower now, on Day 43 of Veg, so as not to get into space issues later. Plants do stretch during the transition and in early flowering. How much stretching depends on the strain, ones lights, etc etc. Better to have a plant that is a little small than a little too big imv as too tall brings a whole load of issues with it (light burn, heat burn, mold issues due to too much foliage, etc etc). Happy Growing!
  9. My ramblings are that of a newbie grower @I'm Sal. I am learning by experiencing as I am not experienced. I am dying, and will never reach experienced, so I am doing what I can a way that may seem haphazard and all over the place, because it is - I'm a newbie. No wheels used to need reinventing, but lights get reinvented such as your lovely LED's, techniques altered or invented, and a whole heap of other items useful for our grows. We don't have to grow the same way, nor should we feel obliged to. Each grow means something different to that grower. Thanks for keeping it real. Happy Growing!
  10. Agreed @I'm Sal, with most effect is best, like a good beer. One can LST well, badly or not at all, and one can drink a nice chilled beer, get shitfaced and fall over, or abstain. Some imagination required for the beer analogy to work. LST is Low Stress Training, training your plant with minimal stress - says so on the tin. Simples. Seedlings going fine. Root!t sponges work well, etc etc.
  11. There are as many ways to LST are there are to drink beer. If someone says otherwise, they're talking carp. Happy Growing.
  12. Nebula dried, and now in jars for curing. 20g stems 28.05g very good popcorn 43.15g A-Buds I did not weigh the Top Cola's before I put them in the big jar. I will do at some point. Edit: I weighed the Top Colas the next day @ 72.5g. So total 143.7g bud with some snapped branches and one cut branchs' bud on top, so over 150g (5.3oz) in total. Sensi Star is drying nicely. A bit slower than Nebula as I'm trying slightly different methods with each strain (and I've only harvested two strains out of the five, so far). Happy Growing!
  13. Lovely work. Nom nom nom ......
  14. Highlander looks great @LedCherryBerry. Loving that top LST at 90 degrees - awesome! Happy Growing!
  15. Hi all, Figured I could do with a questions (and hopefully answer) thread, and that it may be of use to others hunters with the same questions. Q1. What is in BioGrow? Or perhaps a better questions is, what is not in BioGrow? From what I've found the internet, there is no list of ingredients for BioGrow as there is for say, Hybrid, or the (Mineral) Grow [1]. I can see that Boron is in the latter, but not sure if our BioGrow has it? I have also read that Magnesium is in all the Feeding powders (can you confirm it is defo in BioGrow?), but not Calcium. Perhaps @Jose.gh can be answer-Master? Happy Growing! [1] - in the "Feeding Schedule / Concentration of Elements" https://shop.greenhousefeeding.com/grow-bag.html
  16. Happy families in the tent. The four WR growing steadily. Tri and Bi look very happy, and M & 3 are SLOWLY recovering. The seedlings get a foliar spray of 0.33ec/6.3ph water every few hours to cope with the low RH in that tent. By how much they're drinking/transpiring, it's going to be 5-7 days before they need any more liquid/I have a chance to feed them anything else. 400wHPS (483real) and 200wLED (128real) 18 hrs, and 200wLED (128real) 6 hrs. Gnat fly problem improving. Happy Growing!
  17. No problem @evolution666. Even though we're competitor in the same competition, I think we should offer each other help/advice where we can, even if it's only moral support due to lack of experience, and even if that advice is not followed (we each plow our own furrows, and learn from making mistakes). Maybe @jan.gh has some insight into your issue? Fingers crossed for your grow. Happy Growing!
  18. This is my favourite shot I've taken so far:
  19. Hi @evolution666 , Trying to figure out what you have given them. I can see: 10/2: 2 x 7l; 3 x 15l; 1 x 10l & BIO GROW @ 2g/l 22/02: 2 x 15; 1 x 25; 3x 40l & BioBloom @ 3g/l Did I miss anything (Enhancer, anything else)? Happy Growing!
  20. Hi @LedCherryBerry, Thanks! My aim was for 20oz (566g) for the full harvest in my bloated 1.2m2x2m. Only because it was a nice round HUGE number and I like setting very hard to reach goals. It was a test grow of sorts, ie, I deliberately over-nuted to see what would happen (learning). OK, learn a lot and that in turn caused some lockouts/burn. Nebula was supposed to be 60-65 days of flowering, but harvested on Day 67. Sensi Star was 56-63 days and harvested Day 68. Trichomes look perfect on Sensi Star. A little more amber than Nebula, which is fine by me as it's a 90% Indica so all about couch-locking stonerness (and may help my sister in law who has MS). Nebula is 60% Sativa. Dutch Dragon will be the last one pulled (63-70 days). Ice Cream may get harvested tomorrow (55-60 days - 60% Indica). Jacky White, the tallest with the largest bud circumference (60 Days - 75% Sativa) perhaps Monday. Happy Growing!
  21. One litre of Enhancer given to Tri and Bi today at half the recommended dosage (0.5g per litre) Rather too little than too much. They where just below their base weights. Also added an inch of very dry perlite/coco from SS's pot to the top of their (and M & 3's) pots to hinder gnat flies. They had a little BioGrow 3 days ago. When they get to base weight again, they'll get their final dose of BioGrow. Now I have only three large plants (Dutch Dragon, Ice Cream and Jacky White) in the big HPS tent room, I've moved the WR and others into there. HPS is set at 400w on the ballast. Once all my other grow is harvested (over the next week), I shall have the WR in there under 400w HPS and 135 real watt LED 18/6. I want some veg stretching. Happy Growing!
  22. Looks good @OG.Naj, although in that bottom photo some leafs, especially that bottom left leaf, seems to have some interveinal chlorosis. Happy Growing!
  23. Thanks @OG.Naj. Day 68 of flowering. Sensi Star came down today: Very chunky buds. I'm very happy I left it those extra weeks due to lockout. A very pleasurable time spent wet trimming. Seriously, it was lovely.: The right hand side are all very chunky top cola's, the left the bottom of those colas. The trim will go in the freezer and then next week I'll make bubble-bag hash with it. The weather next week looks very cold. Excellent! My full outside R/O water butt will full of frozen/very cold water which will be great for utilizing when making bubble-bag hash. Happy Growing!
  24. Pre-harvest shots of Sensi Star: Very chunky Excuse the sandals & socks: Happy Growing!

About us

Strain Hunters is a series of documentaries aimed at informing the general public about the quest for the preservation of the cannabis plant in the form of particularly vulnerable landraces originating in the poorest areas of the planet.

Cannabis, one of the most ancient plants known to man, used in every civilisation all over the world for medicinal and recreational purposes, is facing a very real threat of extinction. One day these plants could be helpful in developing better medications for the sick and the suffering. We feel it is our duty to preserve as many cannabis landraces in our genetic database, and by breeding them into other well-studied medicinal strains for the sole purpose of scientific research.
