  1. Very interesting configuration of the CFL's. Will you consider putting a reflector on the lights since the light that goes up is useless and it can be succesfully reflected (at least part of it) on the plants. A simple round home made reflector will do an awesome job i presume. The plants will love those additional lumens i bet on it.
  2. i know you can cook heroin with the ash otherwise there is no use at all i suppose
  3. This is my 3rd ruderalis crop so far. Experiments never stop cause there are just too many technics that can be applied into growing About the photoperiod the first crop i kept the lights on for 24 hours during the whole cycle. The plants was fine and healthy and harvest was good. However i recon that if you put 24h on during the vegetative stage and then change to 12/12 after flowering begins (around day 30 depending on growth) the plants seem to be better in terms of time till harvest and yield and density. Thats my personal oppinion and should not be considered as an absolut truth but the difference between the two setups is visible with naked eye. This observation is possible cause i have grown one strain during the 3 crops - Royal Dwarf, and difference is easily visible since micro climate anf feeding is the same.
  4. ah wonderful resin indeed the plant seems to be some purple strain i guess but more info would be awesome. beautiful colors of the pistils.
  5. Hello dear growers, best regards from the balkans in eastern europe. Maugli has been interested in cannabis for more than 15 years and have been hunting the best genetics in eastern europe, either local or pre-ordered. I am very pleased with what you have done here with this website. The idea of sharing genetics info and perhaps real samples is awesome. Now here is some pictures of my current experiment the ruderalis strains or as most people know it "Autoflower" strains. The setup is 2x400W HPS with carbon filter 125mm out-take and in-come fans, substrate is 50% soil and 50% coconut peaks. I use some CO2 degradable pills in the drip water and i keep a constant background of 600 ppm of CO2. The strains, all feminised 33 days from sprout here are: Lowryder n2 (joint doctor) - second genetics of the original ruderalis strain we all know. Personally i dont like this one cause the strain is fragile in my opinion. cerebral high Royal Dwarf (royal queen) - very nice plant. potent and fertilization friendly. body stone Afghan Kush Ryder (dutch passion) - a superb kush with a lot of thc. branches tend to stretch a bit but yield should be fine. body stone Pakistan Kush Ryder (dutch passion) - unknown strain for me first time grow but looks pretty like the afghan kush although it seems more dense. ROYAL DWARF PAKISTAN KUSH LOWRYDER 2 CHEERS
  6. Hello mate, about the lamps i think the best choice is the Philips 600 son-t agro. Now the 400 watt son-t is not a bad choice also but make sure its a son-t cause those lamps have both blue and red-orange spektrum of the light. Vegetative and flowering plants will both love it and you can go with this lamp with all stages with no worries of stretching and deminish harvest what so ever.
  7. Greetingz to all strain hunter mates!

About us

Strain Hunters is a series of documentaries aimed at informing the general public about the quest for the preservation of the cannabis plant in the form of particularly vulnerable landraces originating in the poorest areas of the planet.

Cannabis, one of the most ancient plants known to man, used in every civilisation all over the world for medicinal and recreational purposes, is facing a very real threat of extinction. One day these plants could be helpful in developing better medications for the sick and the suffering. We feel it is our duty to preserve as many cannabis landraces in our genetic database, and by breeding them into other well-studied medicinal strains for the sole purpose of scientific research.
