DAY 46 The LB will be ready in two shakes of a lambs tail (below) The SLH x JTR (below) Jamaican Dream (below) Super Lemon Haze (below) Exodus Cheese (below)

LOL, thanks for checking out this thread guys. I knew that you guys would like it. My friend is truly blessed, he is a great grower but I think that his location is also very special. Cannabis plants thrive up where he lives, he is at about 3,200 feet elevation. A complete smoke report would take a long time but I wiil try to give at least a small report with pictures and some details and descriptions. I am going to visit my friend today and help him with some manicuring. We estimate that this years total harvest was around 200 lbs (manicured), but thats just a guess. So far the only complaint my friend has heard is that his herb is too strong its time for a smoke out!

I was just checking on the plants and it looks like they have seeds, I guess the male that I had in there was able to pollenate the females before I took him out. these are the hybrids that are developing right now in my garden: {(female) x (male)} 1) LB x (Super Lemon Haze x Jack the Ripper) 2) Exodus Cheese x ( Super Lemon Haze x Jack the Ripper) 3) Super Lemon Haze x (Super Lemon Haze x Jack the Ripper) 4) Jamaican Dream x (Super Lemon Haze x Jack the Ripper) 5) (Super Lemon Haze x Jack the Ripper) x (Super Lemon Haze x Jack the Ripper)

thanks, yes the LB is a very resinous strain. I was planning on making seeds with this garden, thats why I selected a male. Thats why he was with the females. I didn't want him to release pollen until after I took him out of the room and isolated him. The result is that I have more seeds than I intended to make but thats ok because they are going to be some really good hybrids the seeds I don't use will be grown at my friends property in the mountains... next summer

Who knows? It would be nice to know how the cali LB was made. If I were to smoke a joint of LB with you, you would not think we were smoking og kush or something like that. You would probably say: "what is that?" the cali LB might not be the original landrace that was cultivated on Jamaica but it must be very similar, it would be nice to be able to compare; take the pepsi challenge, lol. saying that the LB is indica dominant is misleading though and I don't agree with that. Without knowing how it was created and exactly what strains were used to make the cali LB then it is impossible to say. Better to say it is a hybrid and just leave it at that; in any case it isn't what Franco was hoping to find on Jamaica

The Jamaican Dream is looking and smelling very good, better than I thought earlier. She smells very sweet, lemony, and like coffee. It reminds me of some LB I have seen before. Crossing those two strains sounds like a good idea the plants are flowering really fast now, there is a lot of growth and resin being produced rapidly as they suck up the moisture in the pots DAY 28 - SLH with seeds
-
I will let you guys know what the Jamaican Dream is like when she's ready, so far she reminds me of the LB as far as the smell (she smells sweet/skunky/ lemony/limey/coffee) and I wouldn't be surprised if there are a tiny bit of LB genes in her ancestry... she is fast in the flowering stage. I'll let you guys see how she progresses (I have two more Jamaican Dream plants that need to be put into flower). The LB cutting is also very fast. The slowest strains to flower this time are the Exodus Cheese (wide blade pheno) and the Super Lemon Haze (sat.pheno) I am expecting the LB cut and the Jamaican dream to take a total of 7-9 weeks and the others 9-10 weeks, but time will tell... Usually I make kief with my trimmings, I am going to buy a set of bubble bags very soon, lol I made some kief today, my silkscreen is 130 mesh and i can make some good kief with it but I recommend 150ui for the dry sift method I like to press it together by rolling it flat with something while its in a plastic bag Jack the Ripper (below) Herijuana (left) Jack the Ripper (right)

Today is day 25 of the flowering cycle and the plants are looking and smelling very nice The LB cutting The SLH x JTR females strongly resemble the original mother I found in a five pack of seeds in 2009, they are tall and resinous... very sativa dominant genetics. When I made this cross my intention was to get the mother in seed form, I thought I might have to breed back to the mother to get them to this point...I can also see traits from the JTR side too, especially in the shape, size, and color of the leaves SLH x JTR day 25 (below) The Super Lemon Haze (below) I call it the haze/sativa phenotype... this is the pheno i used to make the SLH x JTR The Exodus Cheese (below) I have two of them flowering, one has leaves with wide blades and the other has leaves with slender blades...check'em out slender blade pheno (below) the wide blade pheno (below) Jamaican Dream (below) this plant smells very nice too today is wednesday, on saturday i am going to pollenate one of these plants, probably the LB. The other plants will be pollenated too because the fan is going to blow the pollen around, it doesn't take much pollen
-
the male SLH x JTR is releasing pollen now, I put the flowers and pollen into a mason jar. The male grew to a height of 52 inches, a little over 4 ft. from the top of the soil (not including the pot). The females are almost exactly the same as the male
-
I took these pictures on day 15 of the flowering period the SLH x JTR that I selected is going to release pollen soon. He is sativa dominant, he is very nice in my opinion. I like to foliar feed at least two or three times during the vegetative growth period
-
DAY 19 California LB cutting (below) The Super Lemon Haze x Jack the Ripper (below) they have started producing resin and it is hazey and sweet, just like the super lemon haze mother that i used for this cross ...still waitng for pollen...

good... the show must go on...

not cool...im shocked...

the Most Wanted on page 1 looks like what I want to see, It's what we all want to see you guys, she looks more sativa than our version. That is the stuff I am talking about! Take a good look at that everyone that could probably pass as cali LB or vice versa, it would be nice to do a side by side comparison...hopefully it adapts well to indoor growing, too bad we dont have smell-o-vision, nice ball of gum too, lucky guys nice bro, nice I started a grow journal for my current LB project
About us
Strain Hunters is a series of documentaries aimed at informing the general public about the quest for the preservation of the cannabis plant in the form of particularly vulnerable landraces originating in the poorest areas of the planet.
Cannabis, one of the most ancient plants known to man, used in every civilisation all over the world for medicinal and recreational purposes, is facing a very real threat of extinction. One day these plants could be helpful in developing better medications for the sick and the suffering. We feel it is our duty to preserve as many cannabis landraces in our genetic database, and by breeding them into other well-studied medicinal strains for the sole purpose of scientific research.
