  1. Thats sound very interesting. Ill have to look into that. Thanks John Peace
  2. Thanks alot John/Knuckle man yall are great, really on top of your game. Every time I got a question boom within 24 hours I got real expert advise. Ive been on this forum for a week now and everyday I learn something new from one of you guys. Just wanted to give yall your dues.Respect. Yep using rockwool. That makes so much since the people from Grodan were telling me to make my adjustment to 5.5 and 5.6. Is this what you mean by adding three points? And not using EC but ppm I know you can convert it, but I think I might pick one up just to have. Im using drip lines to feed grogan slabs. I started it all with 6'' blocks ,and at the last minute decided to transplate onto the slabs. Man these things are getting freaking huge!!! Anyway Im feeding basicaly a drain to waste system and my res tank is only 36 liters. I say only 36 liters cause it seems to not be lasting the whole week ,and im starting to have to make a sencond batch of nutrients. So far I feed for about a minute twice a dayI check em for signs of over water/ feeding but everything for the most part looks well. So im just going to make a bigger res tank next week probally 72 liters. Also I feed at a 5th less then what the label says Im supposed to do, because well thats what a tech support from AN told me to do. I guesss because I grow in rockwool and drain to waste what do you think?
  3. Whats the best p.h. level in hydro? How about for veg in hydro? Is there a better level for flower? What about clones? I was to let my P.h. drift a little because curtain nutrients and supplements work better at curtain p.h. levels is this true. Usually when I make my nutrients I make my adjustment to 5.6 then check everyday until it reaches 6.2 then I adjust back to 5.6., is this sound about right? Also whats the deal with p.h. pens I got a 7.0 Hanna meter, but I was recently told I should look into buying a 4.0 meter pen as well. I thought p.h. was p.h. can yall help shed some light on my p.h. problems haha. Peace Bigbuddy
  4. Thanks for the advise brother. Also Ive desided to run my 12 hour light cycle during the night from like 8 pm to 8 am I think im keep it that way until summers over. Im using CO2 in my veg room for sure, but would it benifit me to use CO2 in the flower room as well. Do you run CO2 in your flower room? Will this increase yield? I dont want them to get to much more height, because I only got 8' ceillings. However more weight is always welcome. Also I want to post pics but Im unsure about it, is there any way someone could trace the pics back to me? Is there a secure way to go about posting pics? I got a digital camera and a disk just for pics of my grow. Thats all for now thanks. Peace
  5. Alright this is what ive done. First and stuck a 9000 BTU a/c in the corner and ran the exuast duct to the attic. Second took out the 65 pint dehumidy, because the a/c seems to be taking care of the extra heat and humidity. Plus the a/c unit cause a negetive pressure in the room. Good call on that one Knuckle Head, and tomorrow the black and white poly goes up. Any way my 9x11x8 (LxWxH) now stays at 70 with three 600 hps going. I plan on putting two more 600 HPS and one more 8'' inline exuast fan and carbon filter. So hopefully ill be pushing 3000 watts in a 792 sq. foot room by the end of the week. I didnt think that little 9000 btu a/c wasn't going to help, but it acts as supplement a/c a dehumidy and exuast fan. Man its almost to cold in there now. Thanks brother
  6. I got a RO filter that puts out about 100 gallons a day. And I use an automatic cut off valve to fill a 20 gallon collection tank for when I need the RO water. I prob only use 50 gallons a week, so the water justs sits there with a lid on top. I noticed that the sides felt slimey. Sould i drop an air stone in my collection tank or maybe a pump to the water circulating? Maybe drain and wipe down the collection tank once in a while?
  7. yeah I like the tubes too.. easier to cool.
  8. Got ya.. yeah I have air returns infact I dicconeccted the ducting from the dinning room return and rerouted it to my flower room just for extra intake. I got a 9000 btu floor model i was using for a walk in closet it did the trick. But i got a feeling its not going to make a difference in my 9X11 espesially after I upgrade to four 1000 watts. Wish I had room/funds for a 1/2-3 ton a/c right in the room, talk about cold. Anyway let you know how it all works maybe post some pics. Thanks for the advise brother.Talk to you again. Until such time. Peace
  9. Thanks brother you the man.
  10. Haha yeah it gets hot. I got a 9ooo btu LG portable air conditioner. Ive seen dudes with window units, but I dont know how I feel about those kinds of a/c units. Im going to grab a couple more 8" exuast fans, c filters, maybe a temp switch, wrap the room in b/w poly and go from there. Ill let you know it works. Thanks for the advise there brother.
  11. My room isnt huge 9x11 with 8' ceilings but i m going to use the whole space. I dont know about floor vents our a/c comes in from the celing all the ducting is in the attic. I did however dgo into the attic and installed a booster fan in my intake ducting. Im going to make a bad ass exuast system then put up the b/w poly. Thanks brother
  12. I using a dehumidy because summer is very hot humid for us in the gulf coast area. It does add the extra heat but it keeps my room at right at 50%. its like im solving my humidity problem but making my temp problem rise. Im using a drip system. Ill try it with out the dehumidy and see how high it drifts.
  13. What the best way to feed plants in grodan slabs witha drip system drain to waste. Ive heard the old saying dont apply till its dry, but I read that gro dan likes smaller more frequent feedings. Whats up with the blocks i just pick em up if their light i feed whats the right way with grodan.
  14. Hey I know b/w poly will keep mildew down and is highly reflective, but will it also keep my room cooler when I run my a/c. I thought it might act as a big cooler. Im using a dehumidy, inline fans and carbon filters to take care the the smell and the heat which then goes into the attic.
  15. Thanks for the advise. I didn't mention I plan on upgrading to five 1000 watt lamps. Right now I only got three 600 watts going with only one 6'' inline fan and carbon scrubber taking care of the three. Plus a dehumidy going 24/7. Also I dont think I have that negetive pressure I need to turn over the air volume in the room because i can feel air being pushed under the growroom door out into the hallway. And the extra a/c vents I installed into the room work better when the flower room door is open. What do you think maybe i have an exuast problem? Peace BigBuddy

About us

Strain Hunters is a series of documentaries aimed at informing the general public about the quest for the preservation of the cannabis plant in the form of particularly vulnerable landraces originating in the poorest areas of the planet.

Cannabis, one of the most ancient plants known to man, used in every civilisation all over the world for medicinal and recreational purposes, is facing a very real threat of extinction. One day these plants could be helpful in developing better medications for the sick and the suffering. We feel it is our duty to preserve as many cannabis landraces in our genetic database, and by breeding them into other well-studied medicinal strains for the sole purpose of scientific research.
