Hi, I'm growing the silverback guerilla style, I should've started this a long time ago but after I hurt my feet at work I've been under the influence of strong painkillers because I could barely walk. I thought the plants would die during the heat however I haven't been watering once so I assume the roots have grown so deep that the plants are absorbing water from the swamp or marsh. The plants are growing guerilla style near a spot where I grew last year and last time I was there the plants were big and bushy, roughly around 2.5 meter tall. So far the plants are doing fine so let's see how they'll be doing towards harvest. In the picture the silverback plants are on the right side however they are growing with a lot of other plants so they might be hard to spot but I know which are which, the plants are growing on the edge of a swamp or marsh (not sure which is correct to describe it), the plants are growing among reeds on a mound which is way above the waterline and I also added metric ton of my soilmix to make the mound higher.

So it's 2020 and I'm preparing for another guerilla season, this year I'm doing something different. I am only growing two Green House Seed Co. strains which are favorites from last year The Church and Sweet Valley Kush, these will be some of the few photoperiod strains I'm growing and I also have Frisian Duck (Dutch Passion), Early Skunk (Sensi Seeds), Quick Gorilla (Dinafem), Quick Kush (Dinafem) and Alaskan Purple (Seedsman), also new this season is a field dedicated to autos from Auto Critical Orange Punch, AutoDuck, Auto Glueberry O.G., Auto Brooklyn Sunrise, Auto Colorado Cookies, Auto Orange Bud, Auto Blueberry & Auto Daquiri Lime (Dutch Passion), Blue Amnesia XXL, Haze XXL & Moby Dick XXL, Cheese XXL (Dinafem), Purple Punch Auto (Barney's Farm), Dos-si-Dos Cake Auto (LaMota Seeds), Pineapple Express & Mexican Airlines (420 Fast Buds) and Dedoverde Haze Auto (Humboldt Seed Organization). I'm moving to a different area in the swamp, I'll be preparing it soon and when the ice returns I'm carrying manure to the area and once the sun starts in May I'll really start preparing the area by turning the soil and covering it with a tarp for a week or two. I'm super excited for this years season

More than 500 seeds broadcast, more than 50 seedlings transplanted outdoors. It seems that None of the seeds survived, and only 2 of the 50 survived so far. And they arent doing well at all. Deer and slugs have destroyed this year's crop. Just yesterday, I visited the last 2 NLs and photographed them. Then just this morning went back to feed them again, and the deer got the tops of my best plant. The deer were there just before me, as the fresh cropped leaves lay around the plant, still moist, freshly snipped. I hate deer.

Preparing for our 2nd Mountain Grow
DutchGrower420 posted a blog entry in 2013 - 2nd Guerilla Mountain Grow - Shoreline
Here we are again! The preparations for our 2nd Guerilla Mountain Grow are in full swing! We've really learned a lot from our first endeavor. The most important being that one needs early flowering ladies here in the Alps. Otherwise the early snowfall kicks you in the butt after all your hard work. So I contacted my good friends at The Devil's Harvest Seeds and asked them for a feminized strain that would do well here. So without further ado...... the strain for this year is...... Geminated by Wet-Paper Towel Method When sprouted, planted in Coco-Tabs and transferred into the propagators I use 'Plagron Start Up' in a very light dosage as a natural fertilizer and root stimulator Here are some first pictures. I'll keep this blog updated as we go!
