  1. Hello, I'm from Lebanon, a cannabis lover and grower with more than 8 years of experience. I have created my first strain "Lebanese Haze", a very potent heavy yielding & needs around 8 weeks to flower. Cheers from Lebanon
  2. Hi everyone, So, after introducing myself, this will be my first ''official'' post. First of all a background: I acquired 2 Liberty Haze seeds and 2 Purple Kush seeds. I assembled a secret jardin grow room (2 feed large x 3 feet tall) and I purchased the 100w light equipment. After some weeks, when the plants were already popping out, I was submited to surgery and hospitalized. Case to say I'm still recovering but 3 plants died. Miraculously, one LH was still alive and kicking despite her state. I managed to focus all my attention on her. She entered vegetative stage in the beginnings of December. A few days ago I decided to use the space that I have, since that I only have just one vase there, so I went to a store and upgraded the lights to 400w in order to have more yield which was what I intended in the beginning. What happened is that as soon as I did this, the usual stable atmosphere of 25ºC/45% switched to +30ºC/30% or less humidity. I do not have a humidifier here, only a dehumidifier, so the only things I have been doing is sprinkling water on the walls of the tent which grant me some 45% of humidity for some hours, or I heat a pot with water and put inside for a few minutes. I already managed to lower the temperature to what it was when I used the previous light system by purchasing a new fan but what should I do now? In only one night 4 big leaves of my baby already got some scary yellow marks (totally different that in the picture I'm showing you). Should I buy a dehumidifier? Did I stress my plant to much? Should I switch to the 100w lights again and just stick to less yield this time?
  3. The Seedlings are all White Lemon, only 3 of the 4 look viable. They are 4 weeks old from the time I germinated them to what they look like right now. The Seedlings were originally potted in 0.45L Planter Bags with Seed Raising Mix. Pots have half an inch of pumice on the bottom, coco perlite is used as the medium. They are suspended in a static feed mix. The Grow is done in Autopots running a 13mm mainline down to 6mm inlet using Canna Cocos A & B nutrients. (47 liter reservoir). x2 400w Digital Balast's, dimable to 250w, 275w, 400w & 440w. I run x2 250w (500w combined) for Vege, and then back to 400w, after 3 weeks of flower I crank it up to 440w (880w combined). I supplement with FlairForm CMX as Cocos A & B tends to lack these core elements during the regenerative stage (first 3 weeks of flowering, also when they will stretch the most). I use the following additives: General Hydroponics Floralicous , House & Garden Roots Excelurator, House & Garden Aminos Treatment (These are Organic so need to flush main line once a week, or blockages occur), Shooting Powder for week 5 (single strength, makes the bud, bud over existing bud adding to its size and weight) & week 7 (double strength, makes the bud, bud over existing bud adding to its size and weight again, but stonger to give it a final push), PK 13/14 (week 5, adds weight, size to buds and resin production), Drip Clean (Stops organic build up from sticking to pipes and makes weekly flush easier), FlairForm Silika Magic (Good to keep stems strong, allows higher temps). Planning on getting Canna Boost for next grow, to decrease harvest time. Investigating to see if GHS Power Feeding is any better than Cocos A & B, thus simplifying my process. It takes about 3 hours to make up a cocos feed because you have to wait 2 hours after A & B has been mixed to add additives, which in turn have to be diluted into 1 liter of water, plus 2 liters for silkia which must be ph'd to 6.0 before adding to reservoir. 35 liters would mean 35 minus x amount of liters because of additives. Long process, get awesome results. Powder would eliminate the need for the long wait, thus making my life better lol. The plant next to the seedlings is Arjans Haze, I plan to use as mother and make cuttings to put on a bench I plan to make to put on the skirts of my shade and have a bunch of little ones to flower as well, kinda grow some treat buds In the grow room starting from back is White Rhino, then Super Critical, then White Rhino & then White Rhino again. First grow I did Super Critical & Green Poison, I got 13 Oz's Second grow I did all Super Critical & I got 16 OZ's (x1 Pound) (was very happy) This is my Third grow this time around. Plan my Forth to be White Lemon I like to bend over my main stems and SCROG them, fill all my space with as my laterals as possible to allow for an even canopy. After 3 weeks of flower I like to lollipop them, keep a foot from the top node and everything else gets stipped away. Lower canopy is not needed, thus why this is done to allow the plant to concentrate on producing big buds at the top. I use a TurboKlone to make cuttings. Super Critical takes 21 days to root and only makes root nubs. White Rhino takes 9 days to get full on roots. They say White Lemon takes 4 days, can't wait to try I'll keep posting updates...
  4. Hi Brothers & Sisters I have decided to do another SSH from GHSC, i love this starin and have had nothing but success with it in the past. I'll be using a 100w LED COB style for the grow cycle on 18/6hr with a Wilma Big 4 Pot System. 400W HPS for the flowering stage GHSC Long Feed Clay pebbles for the medium Tri-meter to keep an eye on Ph, Temp & nutrient levels In-line extract fan with carbon filter Small desk fan Tubular heater and room stat to help stabilize temps Aero-pot for the early growth after germination Currently germinating been 2days since adding seeds to tap water Ph6.9, I have never germinated in Ph5.5 More updates will follow in a couple of days or maybe sooner.
  5. I am most curious of the story behind the strain known as "purple haze" The original, the old wive's tale that the original strain was lost... Is that a valid story?? Is there any type of strain that retains the same genetics? Very curious. -Happy strain hunting! _CMX

  10. Hey guys this is my first test grow and my baby is about 3 weeks old. At first all the stems were green but then as the plant grows the lower leaf stems turn deep purple but main stalk remains green. She was on a 1/2 nutrient solution in a DWC. As soon as I noticed change I put her strait back to ph'ed water and calmag solution. since then nothing has changed but she still looks healthy to me and continues to grow normally. If you guys could explain what is going on that would be appreciated oh and the strain name was Sour Lemon started from seed. Thanks a lot!!!

Muchas gracias! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This is a Arjan's Haze #1 that was born in 3 December, so it's almost 2 months old. Unfortunately, since January until a few days ago I had no control over the grow, so I couldn't precise any further data according to watering, temperatures, etc. Maybe it had insufficient watering, and right now we're going through the hottest days of the year, and she already had 2 or 3 strong storms. What could I do with this little plant so it can come back to its cycle? Any idea of what could've happened? Have you ever seen a Cannabis plant two months old this little?
  13. Hi guys, i wanna try some breeding experience and have just one big question, to make hybrid F1. I just finished to read Franco's trick on breeding, it's awesome. Thank you. Do I have to pollinate (just for example Super Lemon Hazex White Rhino) the White Rhino female with a Lemon Haze male? And do it again six times?
  14. Hi folks, thought id start a journal on Ms S L Haze Think I'm in love..... She's in an 11ltr pot with 60/40 coco/perlite mix and hydraton clay pebbles at the bottom for quick drainage. 600w dual spec Sunmaster Floranova grow but recently changing to Sensi Grow A+B Nitrozyme (weekly) Rhizotonic (transplanting) She's a month old from seed, I FIM'd her a week ago and went off for the weekend. The temp went down during the night and coupled with some salt build up her top fan leaves were really arched between the veins when I got home. She has just recovered and is back on track with some nice lower growth. All in all she has a beautiful phenotype and if all goes well I may take some cuttings off her before flowering. I think the heat stress has put me off keeping her for mothering, what do you think? Can a night or two of 15*c and some salt build up affect her THAT much? or could she still come out a viable mother?
Saludos y muchas gracias!
  16. Any bay area natives remember smoking this strain? Straight from the bay area medical clubs in the emb area? Anyone? I'm so curious on finding this strain again.
  17. Hi folks, I have 4 white widow and a super lemon haze in rockwool blocks. They're almost ready for transplanting but was unsure to go for coco or rockwool mini cubes? I've heard a lot about the coco drawing moisture from the rockwool and starving roots. Which to go for? I have some Afghanis in coco at the moment and they seem to love it but what will the SLH love more? I've got a 600w dual spec HPS Floranova Grow 1-part I'm also feeding them some rhizotonic to assist with the upcoming transplant shock. Anyone used Floranova? How about bloom? Thinking about a 2 part for flowering. About to start some nitrozyme foliar spraying also. Any tips on schedules? Thanks guys for any responses, Smoke, Peace and Unity
  18. Hi Guys & Girls, Time for yet another of my journals this time all 10 seeds are going outdoors as soon as they're 3/4 weeks old. I've grown Royal Haze Auto indoors and it was a very nice smoke for an auto, very hazey taste and nice buzz. Not grown the Royal AK before but is supposed to be very strong stone for an auto, will let you know in about 10 weeks, lol. The seeds were put into plain soak yesterday about 4pm by 10am this morning one of the Hazes had already split its shell and the tap root was exposed so I decided to put them straight into Root Riot germination cubes, pic below. They are now sitting on top of my tent in a little propogator. All the best for now. Toaor Ooops, I've reached my limit on photo uploads so you'll have to wait till Admin ups my limit, sorry not down to me.

About us

Strain Hunters is a series of documentaries aimed at informing the general public about the quest for the preservation of the cannabis plant in the form of particularly vulnerable landraces originating in the poorest areas of the planet.

Cannabis, one of the most ancient plants known to man, used in every civilisation all over the world for medicinal and recreational purposes, is facing a very real threat of extinction. One day these plants could be helpful in developing better medications for the sick and the suffering. We feel it is our duty to preserve as many cannabis landraces in our genetic database, and by breeding them into other well-studied medicinal strains for the sole purpose of scientific research.
