  3. Hi guys, how are you? I bought a new growbox (60x40x60cm) to speed up my crops. I put inside a 125w cfl lamp (white veg) and 6 seeds: 2 ZOMBIE KUSH (RS), 2 BUBBA KUSH (GHS and HSO), 1 CHOCOLATE MINT OG (HSO) and 1CRITICAL KUSH (RQS). Now I'm in the 4th week of veg and I've almost finished my last last 3 plants (LEMON OG - Moxie, KOSHER KUSH - Reserva Privada, SUPER LEMON HAZE - GreenHouse Seeds) in the flower growbox (1,2x1,2m). I'd like to take some clones from the new strains and I don't know exactly when is the best moment to do that. Before the switch? After the switch and reveg the clone? I have also to calculate the time the plant uses for root and the days to reach the top of the box (60cm). I thought I can take some clones in the second week of flower and reveg them. (about 15 days to root, 20 days of reveg and then bring again in the flower box).. I appreciate every suggestion!
  4. First of all, I am from Japan and cannabis (hemp) has been part of our lives for centuries until after the WW2. Due to the pre-existance of cannabis on the volcanic island, I thought Japan would be a great place to find some interesting genetics. Especially in the southern islands of Japan (Okinawa, and the rest of the little island surround it) because of the weather condition and rich volcanic soil which is a perfect condition for cannabis to grow. What does everyone else think??? Yukiman
  5. Hey all, This year is my first time growing. I started a little too late because I didn't have time to get the seeds in Amsterdam (greenhouse). My two pure kush plants are now in their 4th week, but should I be worried about the fact I started a little late? I'm using Biobizz biogrow and root juice right now. For later I have their fish-mix (for the soil), biobloom and leaf coat. I guess they are doing alright at the moment. I don't have a picture from this week yet since they are over at someone else's house, I'll take one today or tomorrow. Does anyone have any advice or things I should keep in mind? Thanks in advance, - B
  6. 25 oct. First 5 seeds out of the packet After 2hrs soak 26 oct. All germinated within 24hrs Filled rockwool with coco and mykos and sowed seed Next step to place cubes in net pots after breaking thru coco Thats it for now, will be back as they say HELLO PEACE HUNTERS
  7. HI guys, was just browsing and came across the flowerbomb kush. New from our great hosts the GHSC. I didn't manage to make it to the cup this year due to growing commitments so have not had a chance to try it. Anyone try? Noticed Jango has some pics of it in the gallery So the burning question is when will the seeds be available? Love a bit of kush
  8. just about to begin another grow of Auto-flowering Purple Kush from Buddha seeds. had five seeds, put them all on to germinate, and from the way things look right now, all five have germinated. they were placed in between folded paper towel (as i did in my last grow journal as well), two days ago. now four of the five have first root sprouting from seed by about 1 CM, the other seed, has merely cracked, and no root is actually protruding from the seed casing yet. i think another day and it should be a bit further out. They will be potted, sometime tomorrow, in to 12liter square pots using Canna Coco as the growing medium, and more than likely canna coco nutrients A&B. they will be grown in a tent for possibly the first two weeks of their lives and then their environment will be getting upgraded. to begin with though, they will be put in a tent with a 12" oscillating fan, a 125rvk with carbon filter attached, and a 600W HPS using a pure sodium bulb. some people may argue the case for using a MH bulb for the first few weeks, or indeed just a dual spectrum throughout the entire time. i have a pure sodium bulb, and i expect these plants will begin to flower within two weeks, and from what i hear, they may take anywhere from 70, up to 90 days, so they may become rather large and i don't want that, so using a sodium bulb wont encourage too much foliage growth in the first two weeks, before it turns to flower and requires other part of the lights spectrum. i will try and post pics of progress as it all goes along. i have no idea of what to expect from these plants as i've only done automatics once before, and it was an 8 weeks auto, which i knew what to expect from. i have no idea with this. if anyone has any experience with auto's which can run 90 days, please let me know what you know. also, as always, anyone have questions about anything, feel free to ask and i'll try my best to answer. i'll try to update this as much as i can. i hoped to update my last grow journal at least twice a week, but its sort of dropped to once a week right now. i'll try to update this when i update my others as well. Peace!
  9. Here are 2 different growing techniques that my BBKush plant is reacting to differently. the one that looks shorter is bent using the LST Technique, the other is topped and has 3 main colas instead if 1. The other pic is the both side by side. The topped ones old leaves are browning, but thriving on the LST'ed on, The Topped ones colas are looking better than the LST'ed one though. Any reason why?
  10. hey are there anyway with leaving weed in something over night or for a couple days then eating or drinking it andgetting baked? like ive heard leaving weed in cooking oil then drinking it but idk if it works can someone tell me full proof things that work wothout using a ovan or microwave??? basically the point it making somthing with no smell cus i cant use the ovan or microwave and leave smell becuase my parents are really strict and ive been caught before in my house and its not good.
  11. Full Info: Strain: Bubba Kush Height: 19.5 inches age: approx. 5-6 months ,5 weeks into flowering. Lighting: 1x 150 HPS Ballast and bulb. 2x 60 watt CFL lights for side lighting Grow Medium: Soil Difficulty Growing This Strain: Medium to Hard. Aroma: Pine Oily and Sweet Bubblegum come to mind. With a hint of dank coffee grinds but sweeter. Taste: Ill get back to you on that in 2 weeks Here's a little back story. I use to grow a few years back but haven't in a while. I'm from Colorado, United States, where weed just became legal for recreational use. January 1st 2014. LEGAL, NOT DECRIMINALIZED, LEGAL for recreational use. So i bought a clone from a friend. He said very specifically it was bubba kush, a type of weed i know well. The clone was rather tall and spindly, but it would work for what i needed. Took the clone home and cloned her twice with cloning gel from Clonex. I cloned from the mother immediately after sexing her for a week and after she starting flowering just enough to show me she indeed was a female,as my friend had said. It is. I only took 2 clones from her because i knew i would clone the clones again and didn't want to hurt the mother plant too much as to decrease her yield. I find it annoying to keep one mother plant so i clone from clones like i always have with no bad results. The clones went rather nicely and rooted exactly at 1 week, and started growing. Fast Forward to today... Just took 6 clones from the 2x second generation clones today about hours ago. Under constant light. This brings us back to the original plant and where it stands today. All of these pictures are from the original Bubba Kush Clone i got from my friend for $10 U.S.D . Hehe they are great genetics. My friend goes to the Medical dispensary for his stuff, and that's, im sure where these genetics came from. Anyways, what a steal... Considering i will now have 9 Plants of the same good genetics for 10 Dollars, + 5 dollars for roothing gel,10 dollars for pots soil and rockwool cubes. I usually have 100 percent success rate using clonex and my DIY on a budget cloning technique which i will be posting a step by step method for here when i have the time :] As you can see this plant has taken off from what im sure was a tiny little cutting. I think its growing quite nicely. I have a few infared images and normal lighted images for you guys below so you can see the different details revealed in the different lighting. Thanks for reading :] 1/20/2014 Update Pics Here is updated pics of the same Bubba Kush plant after a bit of trimming and after 3 weeks have passed. 56 Days into flowering and ready to be chopped down soon
  12. Hello Hunter's , I seem's it's that time again, for me to crack some new bean's!!! Staying true to my nature i am switching thing's up a little bit yet again, this time around i am doing a full organic grow. I am starting the seed's in beer cups in standard pro mix , they wil be in the cup's till some nice root development goes on then transplanted into a rich organic mixture. I plan on using only pure water for this grow but since i am using a new organic mixture i am gonna play it by ear to see how the development progress's. the rich organic medium i am using is something i will most likely be working with for a while as i have mixed a bunch of it , the organic mix is pretty simple. I mixed ruffly 60 L's of promix with 40 L's of Fertilo ( composted chicken manure) and with 30 L's of Sea compost with Peat, seaweed and shrimp. i have been told this is sort of a hot mixture which is ideal for my purpose's i plan on layering this mixture the bottom 60% of of my 2 gallon pot's with the organic mixture the top 40% with pro mix so as not to burn the new root's after transplanting . i also have a bag of bone meal that i haven't decided if it's necessary to use or not. I am open to suggestion for anyone with organic growing experience indoor's in pot's as this is somewhat new to me i used to make my own soil outdoor's but for bed's and the plant' i put in it where always well vegged. Below is some picture's of the Fertilo and sea compost bag's and a list of the analysis of the content's, Fertilo INGREDIENTS Composted chicken manure GUARANTEED MINIMUM ANALYSIS The analysis is achieved with final product at maximum moisture capacity Total Nitrogen (N) - 1,2% Available phosphoric acid (P2O5) - 1,2% Soluble Potash (K2O) - 1,2% Maximum moisture - 48% Organic matter - 33% - See more at: http://www.fafard.ca/en/produit/fertilo_composted_chicken_manure/#sthash.0hircasp.dpuf Sea compost known in Canada as Bio Soil INGREDIENTS Composted manure, sphagnum peat moss, shrimp flour, seaweed GUARANTEED MINIMUM ANALYSIS The analysis is achieved with final product at maximum moisture capacity Total Nitrogen (N) - 1,2% Available phosphoric acid (P2O5) - 0,7% Soluble Potash (K2O) - 0,6% Calcium (Ca) - 1% Organic matter - 33% Maximum moisture - 55% - See more at: http://www.fafard.ca/en/produit/sea_compost_with_peat_seaweed_and_shrimp/#sthash.PU0lWOzs.dpuf As for the promix it isent the name brand but the same basic thing, the company i am using instead of promix is Berger's and the line is BM1 ingredient's and info: Incubated pH = 5.4 - 6.2 Coarse peat moss; Horticultural perlite; Horticultural Vermiculite; Dolomitic limestone; Calcitic limestone; Non-ionic wetting agent Ok so i will be planting the seed's today and will get back to you guy's as soon as they pop!!! the seed's i am popping are 2 bean's of GHSC flowerbomb Kush 1 bean of HSO desert diesel 1 bean of HSO lost coast OG ill be back asap with the fresh popped seedling's until then stay green!

About us

Strain Hunters is a series of documentaries aimed at informing the general public about the quest for the preservation of the cannabis plant in the form of particularly vulnerable landraces originating in the poorest areas of the planet.

Cannabis, one of the most ancient plants known to man, used in every civilisation all over the world for medicinal and recreational purposes, is facing a very real threat of extinction. One day these plants could be helpful in developing better medications for the sick and the suffering. We feel it is our duty to preserve as many cannabis landraces in our genetic database, and by breeding them into other well-studied medicinal strains for the sole purpose of scientific research.
