Hey everybody- I have a seedling going right now in a rockwool cube. I want to plant it in a deep water culture bucket in some hydroton clay pellets. I have everything lined up, I'm just not sure when to put the cube in the pellets, and how to get the roots to grow down into the nutrient solution. The seedling currently has a little root sticking about a half inch out of the bottom of the 2 inch rockwool cube. One of the two baby leaves was knocked off accidentally earlier on, but one remains, and there are two new regular leaves that have grown in as well. I don't plan to give it nutrients until the baby leaf turn yellow and falls off. Does this seem reasonable? Also, when do you think I should put it in the hydroton? I really appreciate any input- this is my first grow. in hindsight it was probably silly to start growing with hydro but I was enticed by the science and the potential for large yields. Anyways, I really want to make sure this plant survives and thrives. I just don't want to do anything prematurely for it either. So I really appreciate all input, especially from you experienced hydro growers out there. Thanks!

About us
Strain Hunters is a series of documentaries aimed at informing the general public about the quest for the preservation of the cannabis plant in the form of particularly vulnerable landraces originating in the poorest areas of the planet.
Cannabis, one of the most ancient plants known to man, used in every civilisation all over the world for medicinal and recreational purposes, is facing a very real threat of extinction. One day these plants could be helpful in developing better medications for the sick and the suffering. We feel it is our duty to preserve as many cannabis landraces in our genetic database, and by breeding them into other well-studied medicinal strains for the sole purpose of scientific research.
