  1. Hi All, This grow will start mid January to end February depending on the weather. First grow for 2018 and it's the Indica prominent White Rhino. Perfect for extreme LST and....maybe SCROG. Lets see when we get to that stage. Anyways, list of bits and bobs I'll be using for this: EQUIPMENT: BudBox Pro 1.2m x 1.2m x 2m (White Interior) RAM 5" Carbon Filter 350m/hr RAM 5" Extraction Fan 378m/hr on controller RAM 4" Fan 277m/hr on controller (ACTIVE INTAKE THROUGH SPARE CF TO MINIMIZE PESTS) 2 x 80w Tube Heaters The combination above creates a nice environment for 8/9 months of the year until winter comes when it is too cold to grow as stealthy as I like.. MEDIA & FEED: 50% Bio Bizz Light Mix 25% Coco 25% Perlite A test mix I have been playing with which might suit the GHSC feed well as there will be very minimal nutritional value in the media. Not a fan of forever potting up so the seeds will be germed in 3lt pots then onto 11ltr final pots. 5 x 3lt pots (GERMINATION / EARLY VEG) 5 x 11lt pots (FINAL POT) Feed will be solely GHSC GROW, BLOOM & ENHANCER and NOTHING else LED: 2 x ViparSpectra 450w (TRUE WATTAGE approx 200w each) 1 x Go Grow V1 Master Grower 600w (TRUE WATTAGE approx 200w) Early veg will be under 1 x ViparSpectra than the other LED's will be steadily introduced until all 3 units are up and running during flower. I want a nice thick canopy to aim at and this "crash of Rhinos" are very nice candidates to play with. Looking forward to the New Year to get started. Goodluck all
  2. Hi all, Woohoo, it's competition time. I have received 10 x White Rhino seeds & GHS BIO powder feedings in good time and I'll be looking to germinate in January. 1.2m2 indoor grow starting off under 1 x 125w blue CFL (perhaps x 2) in a 60cmx60cmx90cm propagation tent. Mulling getting a MH for the rest of veg, else it will be that CFL plus 250w/400 of HPS. 600w/660w HPS for flower (new bulb). 428m3 extraction through carbon filter. Substrate: 70% Canna Coco (unfed, ie, not the Pro Plus) & 30% Perlite - so I can see how JUST the BIO feeds get on. Nutrients: Green House BIO feedings only - Water will be roof run off at a ppm of ~ 40 (ec 0.08) @ 23C. Containers: 1 litre / 11 litre / 46 litre I shall be topping early & LSTing to keep height down. Good luck everyone!
  3. So. It is finally time to start this new year with a decent grow journal. Thanking GreenHouseSeeds for giving me this amazing opportunity to test out their WhiteRhino strain, and their Bio Feeding Line of powder nutrients. As mentioned in the inscription post, this will be my equipment: - 4x 6500K 35W LED - 4x Full Spectrum 45W LED - The GreenHouseSeed bank BIO Feeding Line - A 60x60x170 SecretJardin Grow Tent - Airflow with one small fan, and 2 filtered extractors (IN and OUT) for 108m3/h. - 2 initial WhiteRhino seeds, 1 will be chosen and brought to flowering. - Pot sizes, varying from 1L, to 6L, to 11L, to 18L. - A scrog net (this will be my first scrog attempt, please be merciful) - A lot of love and joy doing this. And duct tape. And beer. I plan to increase light power with the increased growth. - 1° Week 70W - 2° Week 105W - 3°-5° Week 140W - 6°-7 Week 140W + 45W FS - 8°-12° Week 140W + 90W FS - Remaining Weeks at Maxium Light Output (140W + 180W FS) With this i want to simulate the increased output of the sun, transitioning from spring, to summer. At the end of Week 7 i'll perform the switch to 12-12. I also plan to feed the girls 6 weeks for VEG, and 8 Weeks for Bloom. I'll start feeding at week 4, when i transplant from 6L to the final pot (which i still need to decide between 11 and 18L). This is the current plan for the grow, that WILL be revised as i go on. I'm sharing it just to give an idea. I also tried to germinate one seed some days before the new year, but it popped the surface as a dead seed. The root grew (small), but the small plant never got rid of the seed shells (after 14 days). I started 2 new seeds, and am waiting for them to pop the surface. I will decide between the 2, who gets to stay. Below, some pics of the equipment: This is the light rack i've crafted. Pretty basic, huh? Pot sizes AND room space. The little white buddy on the bottom right is the dehumidifier, that will be turned on when i switch to 12-12. A special thanks to GreenHouseSeeds. You guys are amazing. Nothing left to say, till the girls pop the surface. Until then... Peace!

  6. Hello everybody, I hope this is the right forum for a topic like this. Im not a marihuana God with 30 years of growing experience (not yet ) and a knowledge like Ed Rosenthal, and cause of this Im searching for opinnions, experience and knowledge of different people. But The MarihuanaGrowingHandbook from Ed Rosenthal is an old friend of me which accompanied me since a few years, and i got some experience with growing marijuana under HPS and LED, and helped a few people with their startink and knowledge problems. I hope i can talk with people about their experience with female seeds from GreenHouseSeedsCompany, because 2-3 years ago i definetly wanted to test some nice landrace strains and some strains from GHSC, cause this company looks kind of friendly and about good quality. Since I baught some Arjans Haze Nr.3 and Himalayan Gold and tried germinate them I lost all my good thinkings about GHSC. 1 of 6 seeds ( 3x AJ3, 3xHG ) germinated, and that was like a beat in my face, I had never problems with germination, even after a few months in the refrigerator. After a few hours in the www i got superficial knowledge and a few curios stories about GHSC and thier formerly and new breeder. Now I hope some people can share her experience with me/ us and this will be a interesting thread. Greetings from a human beeing somewhere in nowhere.:)

Lots of stoke and excitement going on over here and I am very happy and humbled to be able to share my techniques, grows and info to the great community here! Looking forward to bringing this to you with maybe some kool things you have not seen or really payed attention too....? Thanks for taking the time to scope things out! Saludos! MultiTech!
  9. Need to get my new "veg" tent occupied for my follow-on grow. My new revised "veg" tent runs a fresh active 4" intake from one of the two same fans which provides my "flowering" tent with both its fresh active intakes. Also the new "veg" tent extracts directly into my main "flowering" tent using the same carbon filter. There is not a smell of anything in the air from any of my tents. Everything (temps, RH, airflow and entire environment) is working perfectly with nice negative pressure in both my main "flowering" tent and also my new "veg" tent. I have gone through my seed inventory and I have decided on growing the following with very carefully planned training: ***2 x GHSC Kalashnikova (grown recently (produced nearly 3oz/plant & I want to "play" around with it more to get it full potential such as topping, LST'ing, super-crop and maybe SCROG) - **** FAILED TO GERMINATE SO REPLACED WITH 2 x GHSC WHITE WIDOW x CHEESE SEEDS (TEST SEEDS) WHICH TOOK JUST 2 DAYS TO GERMINATE. 3 x Seedsman Jack Herer FAST (these are a brand new Seedsmans strain crossed with a FAST version and should be nice) 1 Advanced Female Seeds Blue-Berry Twist (I want to taste this one and because it is a single freebie seed I may as well throw it in the mix) - FAILED TO GERMINATE PROPERLY AND WAS A MUTANT JUST NEED ALL SEEDS TO SPROUT SO THIS LIST ABOVE MIGHT BE REVISED DEPENDING ON GERMINATION RATE!!! The above plants will be vegged for around 4 weeks, in my new "veg" tent and will be the next batch to go in my "flowering" tent and will be vegged and trained for a futher 2 weeks or so until my current grow is finished. This is what is currently growing in my "flowering" tent and they will be chopped in approx 4/5 weeks time. The plan is to get the new seeds soaked in water for approx 6 to 12hrs to soften the shells tomorrow, then they will go straight into tiny pots with their already chosen medium. The medium will be the same as I my current grow, Clover Multi Purpose Compost with approx 33% added Perlite. This Clover brand is not so well known and is fairly limited availability unless you want to pay very expensive delivery charges. Luckily I have a garden centre very close with a very good for the price, the soil is not too hot at all and an excellent fine dark texture without any lumps, chippings and any other rubbish. The added bonus is also that it comes in 60ltr bags Final pot sizes will be 11ltrs therefore their route to this will be re-potting from tiny 1/2ltr pots, then 3.5ltrs and finally their ending 11ltr pot. I am an LED grower as you know with a fair few different brands of LED units to chose from but 1 x ViparSpectra 450w & 1 x Go-Grow V1 (formerly Virgin Borneo) Pro is currently being used in my "flowering" tent therefore since I have another ViparSpectra 450w, this will be used in the new "veg" room. This is a very good LED unit for the price and I have used these particular LED units in all my recent grows so far. As for flowering, this will be the same as my current grow and the grow previous to that, they will be flowered with 1 x ViparSpectra 450w & 1 x Go-Grow V1 (formerly Virgin Borneo) Pro which draws approx 375 REAL LED watts from the wall. My main "flowering" tent is the new 1.2m x 1.2m x 2.0m BudBox XL Series with the white interior and I find them spot on. Very good quality regarding all components and fixtures with no light leaks at all, very solid chunky 25mm metal frame including metal corners and also very good zips. It is the best tent I have ever used and the price from a certain site is much cheaper, by a long way (if based in the UK), from one particular supplier. Anyway, that is the plan and the ball will start rolling tomorrow so hopefully within a few days I will have 5 tiny new plants to show you all if germination is successful. Also, sorry to say but this will be my last documented grow dairy on any dedicated growing social website for several reasons, mainly security issues as I like to spend as little time with my plants as possible. It is time consuming taking & transferring pictures and also writing a detailed narrative about everything carried out and the traffic on this site makes it pointless as replies are rare and it is like speaking to an empty arena. Sorry but these are the facts and I refuse to risk my security and waste time any longer. I grow for my own supply and my current set-up enables 4 grows per year to be easily and totally self sufficient all year round without growing during the coldest months (November to February) when I will not grow at all. I will keep you all updated and thanks for taking your time to read my posts.
  10. OK, so I haven't seen this before, I've always thought it was necessary but didn't realise it was already being done and so incredibly properly. I believe this facility also take deposits from multinational companies with an interest in the preservation of seed stock from around the world. I am sure GHSC and Strain Hunters keep Mums and seeds in controlled storage, but must live in fear of loss, damage, spoiling or government destruction. I seem to remember a story about some of Arjans parent stock being destroyed in Switzerland?? (May be myth). Anyway, check out the video below, I hope this is of interest to Franco and Arjan. http://edition.cnn.com/videos/world/2015/10/22/norway-doomsday-backstory-arwa.cnn
  11. Hi Brothers & Sisters I have decided to do another SSH from GHSC, i love this starin and have had nothing but success with it in the past. I'll be using a 100w LED COB style for the grow cycle on 18/6hr with a Wilma Big 4 Pot System. 400W HPS for the flowering stage GHSC Long Feed Clay pebbles for the medium Tri-meter to keep an eye on Ph, Temp & nutrient levels In-line extract fan with carbon filter Small desk fan Tubular heater and room stat to help stabilize temps Aero-pot for the early growth after germination Currently germinating been 2days since adding seeds to tap water Ph6.9, I have never germinated in Ph5.5 More updates will follow in a couple of days or maybe sooner.

  13. Hello . I grew the white rhino in the early 90's awesome stuff I had the cut for a while probably 8 years. About us

Strain Hunters is a series of documentaries aimed at informing the general public about the quest for the preservation of the cannabis plant in the form of particularly vulnerable landraces originating in the poorest areas of the planet.

Cannabis, one of the most ancient plants known to man, used in every civilisation all over the world for medicinal and recreational purposes, is facing a very real threat of extinction. One day these plants could be helpful in developing better medications for the sick and the suffering. We feel it is our duty to preserve as many cannabis landraces in our genetic database, and by breeding them into other well-studied medicinal strains for the sole purpose of scientific research.
