My seeds arrived 5 days ago.

That night i put 3 "White Lemon" seeds in one crystal glass

and in another

I placed 5 "Arjan's Haze 3" seeds in distilled water:

seeds2.jpg

above is the 2 White Lemon seeds.

The White Lemon seeds opened within 12 hours IN the glass,

so I placed them straight into roolwool cubes that had been soached and drained thoughly in tap water;

the haze 3 is in the tissue on the plate, as well as having been put in 2 cubes.

The black humicrub is on a heat mat, and I closely monitored the temperature, and made sure nothing dried out:

seeds3.jpg

I place them there on the day after I recieved the seeds, after they have been placed in distiled water in the crystal glasses;

that was 3 days ago on the 4/11/2010.

I placed the lid of the chamber and left all the air holes open and waited,

closely monitoring the temperature, keeping it between 22C and 25C:

germination1b.jpg

by the 5/11/2010, the seeds were reaching for the light, as you can see above.

I closely watched the temperature and humidity making sure the cubes did not dry out too much:

3 days after i first got these seeds in the mail on the Saturday(yesterday),

this is what I saw:

germination1b_0.jpg

I woke this morning to find this - this white lemon is reaching for the stars:

reaching.jpg

Here is a another picture of them taken today - the 7/11/2010; exactly 4 days after i first recieved these seeds in the mail:

birthb.jpg

this seeds consist of:

3 "white lemon"(Green House)

5 " Arjan's Haze 3"(Green House)

2 Blueberry normal seeds (Dutch Passion) from planet skunk;

What I wonder could I say to her as she grabs for life?

What can i say to her to enrich her, to sustain her, as she reaches for the light?

That the light binds the heart to flight,

to spread the wings of midnight,

to give all in surrender

to a greater light.

Sometimes that light burns us

it is so bright,

as blazing as full moon midnight.?

To love for itself,

to spit into the night;

to not care for distances,

for love is beyond all boundaries.

Love is the precious nourishment,

the more you? give, the more you have;

it is a light in a dark place

that turns the world to shadow.

It is? the sun that warms at night,

sometimes the only light

in a world cruel and dark.

It is all we leave behind

and we know not when we go

into darkness, silence;

where we go, who knows?

We sail this torturous sea not knowing where our home port may be.

The night simmers with a silver light and still we do not know;

our home it shimmers just out out? of sight,

somewhere

nowhere,

somewhere in the twilight.

So we all die, silently, without murmur;

I die, we die, you die

but you unlike us need fear not

for you love

your death and give yourself totally to it.

happy growing,

john

thasnk you jimmy.

I am going to put over the top of them when they are in flower 2,800 watts, all digital:

a 1000 watt sunpulse bulb

2 600 watt sunpulse

I 600watt digital but not a sunpulse bulb( a halide though),

as well I will use CFL for lower lighting,

I intend to grow 9 plants,

6 in 52 liter pots

3 in 18 liter pots;

the plants will be started in 8 literr pots in coco.

and then transfered to various mediums

2 in fact, both mixtures:

Flytocel and perlite;

Coco and perlite,

we will see how it all goes, jimmy

happy growing, mate,

john

hi mate,

at the moment I am using a 6.4 K bulb, a 600 watt.

I either use the 3k for flowering or the 6.4 for veg.

I do however mix the spectrums when I am flowering.

I will have a 10k, and 3k for flowering probably

not sure yet mate, it will depend on a few things.

happy growing,

john

thank you Franco;

I will do my best for them;

not totally sure yet as it is a bit early,

but it looks like I have 2 phenotypes in the white lemon:

one looks as though it may take after its indica parents:

here is a picture of it:

phenotype1.jpg

and one that may take after its sativa parents:

phenotype2.jpg

here is a picture of my garden as it is today:

it contains one church clone( I call her phenotype 3); the one most like her parent Northern Lights;

and Arjan's haze 1 which I am regenerating.(she is a strong plant)

and the seeds you sent me:

together_3.jpg

thank you to Green House and to you and Arjan.

I intend (for my own use only) to cross the church with blueberry.

The blueberry has to give me a male first, and I have only planted 2 seeds, so it may not happen this cycle.

happy crossing,

john

Hello, John!

How can you see that in such early seedlings? What did you find in them that can tell you the diference betwwen phenos?

I would like the ask you what plants are you going to put in 18L pots and what plants are you planning to grow in fytocel and coco?

About the sunpulse's, do you have 2 600w 6.4K and 1 1000w 3K?

It will be excelent to see your tests!

Take care, my friend

hi romeu,

It is the leave structure that makes me think I have 2 phenotypes

notice one plant has a broad leaf, while the other has a narrow leaf;

this gives me a clue to which parent, each sister will take after.

a phenotype is really just a sister of the parents.

I will wait a bit before I decide which plants shall go into which pots.

The problem with the big pots is that they are round, and leave a lot of empty space.

The smaller pots are square, and I shall use them to fill up some of that empty space which is now going to wastre.

I may end up growing less plants but all of them in 52 liter pots;

I am not sure yet;

I do not have all the lights yet;

but i intend to use 1 by 1000watt

and 3 by 600 watt

all digital.

happy growing my friend,

john

My haze 3 and white lemon are around 10 days old;

www.strainhunters.com/portal/content/superbluehaze-white-lemon-arjans-haze-3-7112010

The 3 haze 3 seeds which I have germinated, contain 2 different phenotypes;

Also with the 2 white lemon seeds;

I have 2 phenotypes of both strains;

EC is 1

ph around 5.8 to 6;

i water at the moment around every 3 days, as the roots are small.

I change my watering cycle depending on the plants, and how they look;

the haze 3(phenotype 1) is 12 cm tall and is one her 3rd set of leaves.

the haze phenotype 2, one is 7cm and the other is 6.5cm.(also on her 3rd set of leaves)

The white lemon (phenotype 1) is 9,5cm(also on the 3rd internode)

white lemon(phenotype 2) is 11 cm.(also 3rd internode)

Internode length on both strains at the moment is 1cm

happy growing,

john

Hello, John!

They seem going along very good!

I'm looking forward for the haze3! I think its a wonderful strain!

I'm sure the white lemons are going to be amazing in flower with your knowledge and power, in that pro grow space you have there!

Take care

My grow space is 2.4 meters by 1.5 meters with well over 2 meters height;

Temperature is not ideal, but not too bad either as it is the middle of summer here.

Lights on it is 29c at the top of the plants, and with lights off around 24 c.

Humidity stays between 50 to 60%

It is unsual for plants to have this much flower development at 14 days.

All the plants switched and were showing flower development within a few days.

Why?

I, firstly, veg for at least 8 weeks, as I not only like to see the full expression of each phenotype,

but as the plant is older, it is also physiologically ready to flower, and, therefore, quickly shows the change.

Secondly, I turn the lights down slowly over a 10 day to 2 week period: 17 hours for 2 days, 16 hours for 2 to 3 days, 15 hours for 2 days, 14 hours for 4 days, 13 hours for 3 to 4 days, and then 12 hours.

Nutrients: I use both chemicals and organics, and grow hydroponically but hand water the plants,

as this gives me greater control over individual nutrient requirements, as each plant is different in its nutrient requirements.

Hand watering also allows me to let the plants dry out, and move between a wet and damp cycle, which is important for the plant to absorb calcium, magnesium and other elements.

I use Nutrifield nutrients (an Australian company started by a research scientist),

I also use Cyco chemical nutrients

I grow in large 52 liter pots, and use various mediums: a mixture of flytocell and perlite or coco;

I start them off on a mixture coco and perlite.

At the moment I am feeding the plants; a chemical nutrient as a base(around .4 to .5 of the total EC) to this I add various other nutrients depending on what I think the plant requires:

Fish emulsion, Zyme, potassium and phosphorous(Cyco), Silicon(Cyco brand) Fulvic and humic acid(organic), cargo boost( nutrient delivery) and sea weed.

I also use a range of Friendly bacteria and fungi to aid root development and nutrient absorption.

When using organics(especially with Cargo Boost and fish emulsion) it is important to use a lower EC.

The nutrients in the organic products are not immediately available to the plant, as they have to be broken down by the micro organisms in the medium and then become soluble salts which the plant can absorb. The nutrients are not yet soluble so they will not register on the EC meter, which can only measure dissolved salts, and not organic nutrients held in suspension. Therefore, when using organics and chemicals together it is important to run a lower Ec to allow for the breaking down of the organic material into soluble salts. The EC at the moment is 1.4 I water about every week to 10 days, depending on the plant requirements. It is hard not to water more often, as we all want the best for our plants, but one must hold back, and later when i have overcome the impulse to water, the plants look better for not having it. I watch the plant, especially the leaves and when they droop a bit, low on the plant, then I water. It is important during flowering to let the plants dry out a bit, as they need to be able to absorbed various elements to bloom fully, and if the roots do not have adequate access to oxygen,, then the plant can not absorb these nutrients in sufficient quantities to bloom to its fullest potential.

then become soluble salts which the plant can absorb.The nutrients are not yet soluble so they will not register on the EC meter, which can only measure dissolved salts, and not organic nutrients held in suspension.Therefore, when using organics and chemicals together it is important to run a lower Ec to allow for the breaking down of the organic material into soluble salts.The EC at the moment is 1.4I water about every week to 10 days, depending on the plant requirements.It is important during flowering to let the plants dry out a bit, as they need to be able to absorbed various elements into to bloom fully. .

hi Franco,

Thanks for having a look.

I have two different phenos in the white lemon, I think.

with the haze 3, it looks like i have either 2 phenotypes and one plant with genetic problems(as it is much smaller than the other 2, and seems to be more thai-like or takes after the Cambolian, rather than the Columbian relatives.

happy crossing,

john

Hi anguscr,

The haze 3 does have Cambodian (which is related to thai) and by the structure of the branches, I would say the haze 3 has a lot of Colombian in her.happy growing,john
