Would I get away with having 5 plants in 1 pot?

I would like to know if I am able to pot 5 plants in 1 pot?

The roots would compete terribly against each other for nutrients resulting in stunted growth and disappointing production.

I didn't end up doing it. I had to do 3,3,2. I didn't intend on having so many, i cracked 4 seeds and only 2 survived so i did 10 more and 8 survived! I've found space elsewhere though ?

why not using sqare pots?

I imagine that by now you have experienced why it is important to plan on not overcrowding your grow area.  Quality suffers all around.
