Kings Kush Autoflower Summer Run 2017

22 posts in this topic

This is my second indoor run of Kings Kush autoflower.

Tent

Mars Hydro 70cm X 70cm X 160cm

Grow Light

Mars II 400 LED

The grow light is the equivalent to a 250W HPS

Strain

1 X Kings Kush Autoflower = Green House Seeds

Growing Medium

BioBizz All Mix
Perlite

Plant Feed

Canna Start = seedling
Plant Magic Soil Grow = veg
Plant Magic Root Stimulant = veg & flowering
Plant Magic Soil Bloom = flowering

On Friday the 28th of April I started to germinated the second of the 3 Kings Kush beans and placed it on some kitchen roll in a shallow dish and sprayed it with water to make the kitchen roll damp then I placed it into a drawer, I kept the kitchen roll damp and on Sunday the 30th of April the bean had split and there was a tap root.

So on Monday the 1st of May I filled a 3 inch plant pot with soil for seedlings that contains no nutrients and planted the newly germinated seed about 5mm below the surface of the soil then sprayed the soil with water to make it damp, then I placed the pot on a little saucer and placed them in the corner of the grow tent with the Kings Kush from my last indoor grow.

Once she had grown a couple of sets of leaves a week ago (12th May) I mixed up a 2 litres of Canna Start and started to feed her 10ml of Canna Start and water just before the light goes out in the evening and during the day I still give her 10 good squirts of water 4 times per day to keep the soil damp and she is doing great.

I will update the journal next week with a progress report, the 2 Passion #1 beans I popped have broken ground and they are both thriving.

Happy growing guys :D

Week 7 and the Kings Kush is thriving nicely and growing well in the grow tent I am feeding her a solution of Plant Magic Soil Grow and Root Stimulant every 3 days then just water alternately to avoid nutrient lock out and so far despite being FIMed twice and repotted a couple of times she is has just kept gowing.

Week 8 and it is time to repot the Kings Kush again I can see her roots peeping out of the holes in the bottom of the pot, so I will repot her in a 14 litre rubble bucket which I know will have enough room to finish her and then fed her with solution of Plant Magic Soil Grow and Root Stimulant.

Week 10 and the Kings Kush is growing nicely and she is looking very bushy now and there is a lot of growth close to the main stalk so I have decided to removed this and open here up and allow more light to penetrate the plant and also tie down the stalks with pipe cleaners attached to the pot and start training her and keeping her height in check.

Gasmeter,

Sorry, I hadn't popped in for a while, and I missed the start of this King's Kush grow.  I would have warned you that King's Kush is a leaf monster, also Kaia Kush.  Maan, I grew leaves that were 35 cm across.  I vegged them for a good long while and wound-up with gigantic leaves by the time they finished their stretch in flowering.

Just be prepared:  She will want to take over your flowering room during stretch.

Woohoooo!

Hey Cannabissapean, feel no way man, no problem.

Yeah I agree the Kings Kush is very leafy, with the first one I just let her run to see how things went, but this time I decided to trim her and open her up and let more light penetrate the plant so she does not waste energy on buds that are not getting much light close to the main stalk low down the plant.

End of week 12 and start of week 13

I fed and watered her on Friday 28th July with 2 litres of Plant Magic Soil Grow and Canna Rhizotonic root stimulant and tonight I gave her 2 litres of water with just Canna Rhizotonic root stimulant.

She has filled out nicely since I trimmed her, I will set her on a 12/12 photoperiod in the next couple of days and get her to flower.

Here are a few images I took yesterday.

End of week 19 and the Kings Kush auto is doing great and she is continuing to build those buds.

She is still on a 12/12 photoperiod and tonight I gave her just 4 litres of water it has been 7 days since I last fed and watered her.

A few days ago I adjusted the pipe cleaners I have used to tie down her stalks to make sure the tops of the stalks are 12 inches below the LED.

Here are some images I took yesterday

Your Kings Kush is beautiful.

I guess this is what you used for the seedling:

and this is the published schedule for Canna Start:

And these are the Plant Magic products that you are using:

By the way, there is also an organic(bio)-set of nutrients from Plant Magic called "Oldtimer Organics":

https://www.google.de/search?q=plant+magic+soil+grow+bloom+root+stimulant&client=firefox-b&dcr=0&tbm=isch&imgil=2LhtoIhOhxq7TM%3A%3BvhANrrHC037QAM%3Bhttps%253A%252F%252Fdrgreens.co.uk%252Fproduct%252Fsoil-nutrient-starter-kit-plant-magic%252F&source=iu&pf=m&fir=2LhtoIhOhxq7TM%3A%2CvhANrrHC037QAM%2C_&usg=__k1_NnS3WxJZWMtx5bDBzT10GhLQ%3D&biw=1600&bih=791&ved=0ahUKEwj59Z7N3rDWAhXDbRQKHQ_YB4cQyjcIVQ&ei=6cjAWbndCcPbUY-wn7gI#imgrc=PczZ19KdbI5bCM:

Kings Kush will certainly fill a tent with leaves, won't it?

So now let's see how well she does with flowers.

Don't forget to plan for flushing two or three weeks before harvest.

Doin' good.

About us

Strain Hunters is a series of documentaries aimed at informing the general public about the quest for the preservation of the cannabis plant in the form of particularly vulnerable landraces originating in the poorest areas of the planet.

Cannabis, one of the most ancient plants known to man, used in every civilisation all over the world for medicinal and recreational purposes, is facing a very real threat of extinction. One day these plants could be helpful in developing better medications for the sick and the suffering. We feel it is our duty to preserve as many cannabis landraces in our genetic database, and by breeding them into other well-studied medicinal strains for the sole purpose of scientific research.
