Hi everyone, good to be in the forum. Great to see and be part of a really dedicated site. Hope to learn a lot and share my humble thoughts. Been a toker on and off since my teens now 65. Use to visit Amsterdam and Lelystad a lot from 1999 to 2006 then circumstances and life changed and I didn't have a smoke till I went back in May this year. 11 years - Waaaam!!! Going back in October. Don't smoke at home - too much family grandkids and things to do - but I need the breaks as have just retired - so hoping to get to the "dam" every few months. Guess that's me in short - for now - Peace & Blessings from N. Ireland

I'm not quite yet retired, but it's right around the corner.

I haven't yet ever visited the 'dam, but that's certainly high on my bucket-list.

Maybe one of these days, we could share a spliff at the 'dam.

About us

Strain Hunters is a series of documentaries aimed at informing the general public about the quest for the preservation of the cannabis plant in the form of particularly vulnerable landraces originating in the poorest areas of the planet.

Cannabis, one of the most ancient plants known to man, used in every civilisation all over the world for medicinal and recreational purposes, is facing a very real threat of extinction. One day these plants could be helpful in developing better medications for the sick and the suffering. We feel it is our duty to preserve as many cannabis landraces in our genetic database, and by breeding them into other well-studied medicinal strains for the sole purpose of scientific research.
