3rd indoor grow

141 posts in this topic

So let me get this right

Firstly  leave the net as it is and then  defoliant most of the leaves over the next 3 weeks say twice a week

Then as the plants grow feed the bud sites under the net untill the stretch is over and then just let them grow as normal

I am so sorry to keep on asking for help

Many thanks

Yours sincerely

Cindy

Hi @Cindy

I would do it this way but it is your grow.

Like I said over 2 weeks ago, bushy plants are great but you need height also and you have introduced the SCROG net a little too soon. I would have just continued with the LST and defoliation of lower 3rd of plants then get the SCROG net on when you have the height then just feed into the net until 70% full before 12/12.

For the sake of repeatedly posting the same thing just re-read my last few posts and nothing has changed.

You need that net at least 70% full then 12/12 can be started unless you will waste all that floor space making yield suffer greatly consider the growing method you are trying to create to lead to greater yields.

If you start the on 12/12 anytime soon the use of the SCROG net will have been pointless.

Sorry but just wish you all the best out of your grow and this issue can be solved before it even starts.

This is "over-the-net scrogging":

And this is "under-the-net scrogging":

Ahaa, the metal grid is for a floor under the plants, now that makes sense.

Heyo,

Nice looking girls!
What's going on with the one in the right corner (2nd photo)? She's small compared to the others..
Oh well, she'll grow out eventually.
Don't worry, they'll stretch quite a bit. Consider that most of the strains double their size and height.
Only a few strains will stretch less than 100%, and more than 200% (triple the size and height).

I am also growing different strains right now (only point i used some bagseed so i don't know the strains name and characteristics), so if you check my grow you'll see that my S2 is compact compared to S3, which is kind of hard to keep together in a small, small place hehe.
S2 went into flowering when she was about 20-22 cm. She's now in her 4th week of Bloom, and she's only 27 cm tall.
S3 instead went into flowering when she was at 28 cm, but recently had to LST (well, much more HST than LST) cause she was growing more than 38 cm (in 2 weeks). She's now stable at 40 cm.
I think the stretch will last from 4 to 6 weeks in average (among all the strains), and give the last 2-4 weeks for bud thickening, but i'd like to ask @Cannabissapean for a more precise information.

Only difference between my grow and yours is that i'm a rookie and have a shit shack, but you got a spaceship!
I bet your babies will grow majestic!

Hello led

the second on the right is a different strain she’s kaia kush

Pics of the top-side?  How's the stretch progressing?

You had indicated that you would be scrogging under the net.

I was just wondering how the branches are spreading and if any secondaries were turning upwards toward the lamps.

Holy shit Cindy!
They're growing monstruous! Good Job!

Also, they're 60 cm wide? ALL of them?
Goddamn i could fit 1 in my cab, not 6!
I'm a bit jealous, i wish i had your possibilities :D

What's going on with the last one on the right?
She looks like a sunflower, searching for the light.. Which i guess isn't the issue, given the big lamps you got..
Anyway, as i said, beautiful plants.
Good, good job.

About us

Strain Hunters is a series of documentaries aimed at informing the general public about the quest for the preservation of the cannabis plant in the form of particularly vulnerable landraces originating in the poorest areas of the planet.

Cannabis, one of the most ancient plants known to man, used in every civilisation all over the world for medicinal and recreational purposes, is facing a very real threat of extinction. One day these plants could be helpful in developing better medications for the sick and the suffering. We feel it is our duty to preserve as many cannabis landraces in our genetic database, and by breeding them into other well-studied medicinal strains for the sole purpose of scientific research.
