New to legal growing. Medical needs being met. Have immature plants starting to turn some buds brown. Is this bad? Plant is not ready to harvest for a while. Mildew??? Need advice.

are you indoors or outdoor? is it the pistels turning brown?

pic would be helpful

dont sound like mildew, bud rot is possible.

Giskin, it's hard to answer those questions without pictures.  Please take some photos of the problems and post them in here.  Then we might be able to help you.
