LED Grow Boxes

11 posts in this topic

Just got done harvesting one box, and had to rearrange things, thought I would share.

I have two of these standard Home Depot, 30w36h18d plastic. 120w three color LED, small fan, single air pump outside of boxes, a good size one running a bubble stick in each of four (two in each) plastic planters with their tops turned upside down, holes cut for 2.5 net holders.

I can auto fill the top box, but the bottom one I have to run it manually every few days.

Top box has one Diesel, Lemon Skunk, White Russian, bottom box has one large Lemon Skunk. All are around 3-4 weeks from harvest.

They were seed started under T5 florescents, and are all mixed with Lowryder 1 or 2, I don't know, but they auto flower and love these LEDs. My first harvest was thick.

I have greenhouse's Super Lemon Haze and a few assortment packs up next ;)

I just finished my first grow with them, the 120w LED Illumination Station. Preliminary weights, after initial dry were about 115 grams.

I'm not sure if it is a good weight, or bad weight, but compared to the same auto flower White Russians grown outside last summer, these were roughly the same size and weight.

I can't wait to get the Super Lemon Haze seeds in there.

Franco, if I go from clone straight to a 12 hours light schedule would I be able to fit the Super Lemons Haze in these boxes? There is roughly 30 inches from the top of the hydro to the bottom of the lights. BTW, these lights are cold giving off no heat at all.

Thanks!

if you use cool lamps you can try, if the plants will still stretch too much you can always LST them....

Thanks, they really seem to love these tricolor LEDs. 120w per grow box, and they are going wild!

Hi Jay, nice looking plants.

I want to switch to LED to try and keep temps down, when i tried to Google "120w illumination station" i didnt get any good hits.

Can you supply the name of the company please.

Also on your last post you supplied a link to photobucket, this picture is password protected, any chance you could upload it here?

Keep up the good workteeth_smile.gif

HI Tokage, thanks for the advice. teeth_smile.gif

I did take a look at E-Bay but i am not sure of the build quality or the reliability of these lights. I know there have been many reports of 90W UFO replicas from China using poor quality LED's.

Since posting my question to Jay Ryan about the make he is using, I have found a site which may be use to others to check out. The site is called "my hydroponic gardening .com" They do not sell or even tell which one to buy, they just give unbiased reviews of current LED lights.

I have a have a 45cm x 45cm (18" x !8") cab and am thinking of buying a "hydro grow penetator 84x".

If anyone has had good results with a LED panel in this size space please let me know the model and make.

I want to make the best informed choice, I can't afford to waste money on a light that does not produce good results.

Once I have made my choice and purchased my light, i will post a grow on here.

I will be growing Supercritical auto (GHS)

Peace Lamsbread shades_smile.gif

About us

Strain Hunters is a series of documentaries aimed at informing the general public about the quest for the preservation of the cannabis plant in the form of particularly vulnerable landraces originating in the poorest areas of the planet.

Cannabis, one of the most ancient plants known to man, used in every civilisation all over the world for medicinal and recreational purposes, is facing a very real threat of extinction. One day these plants could be helpful in developing better medications for the sick and the suffering. We feel it is our duty to preserve as many cannabis landraces in our genetic database, and by breeding them into other well-studied medicinal strains for the sole purpose of scientific research.
