Indica PH during flowering.

I noticed in the grow area, franco recommended a ph of 6.5 for indoor indica in hydro systems. When i looked at some of the older strain-specific videos (like White Rhino) they recommeded 5.5. i was wondering why is there a difference, did they find out that it is actually better to run the higher ph?

I normally shoot for around 5.2-5.5 during veg then bump it up to 6 in flowering and never more than 6 its a safe range for me so i just work with that for most strains, same ph for my indicas and sativas. you seen the feeding chart in the advanced techniques topic? worth a read.

it does depend on your medium.Remember Green house grow in Rock wool which is slightly more alkaline than other mediums so requires a higher ph than other mediums do.

if your ph is too low then micro elements are locked out.

Usually a ph of 5.6 to 5.8 for veg,

and around 6 to 6.3 for flowering so that the potassium and phosphorus become more available to the plant.

happy growing,

john
